Guinness World Record Approves Bayelsa Born Ball Joggler, Tonye Solomon As World Record Holder | state

The most steps climbed on a ladder while balancing a football (soccer ball) on the head is 150, and was achieved by Tonye Solomon (Nigeria), in Yenagoa, Nigeria, on 10 August 2023.

Tonye attempted this record to challenge himself and to inspire others to do great things.

He spent 2 months training for the attempt until he was confident he could achieve the record.

Remember Tonye attempted this record on 10 August, 2023 and has been recognised by Guinness World Record via their official website.

In case you missed the news, Uche Nnaji, who contested for the position of Enugu State Governor under the All Progressive Congress (APC), has been made a minister.

Occupying the position of the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology.

We are glad that an Igbo man is occupying this position.
But come to think of it, what is Uche Nnaji doing as a Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology?

Where's the tech hub or tech or even science activities he has done in the past that might have gained him this position?

In his memorandum as Governor, he didn't even have plans for Technology advancement in Enugu State, and now he is to oversee the affairs of Innovation, Science and Technology for the whole country. 🙄

Nigeria Politics is just clearly an arrangement of a personalised settlement and enrichment scheme.

Oh well, what do we know... There might be something we are not seeing.

UK trains NDLEA marine officers

The United Kingdom Home Office International Operations, HOIO, has trained 35 officers of the Marine Command and Seaports Operations of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), in diverse areas in recent weeks.

Key areas covered far include boat handling, weapons handling, riverine operations, boarding and vessel search, among many others.

Spokesman of the agency, Femi Babafemi, who disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, said out of this

number, five are currently undergoing a two-week Maritime Patrol and Tactical Coxswain training by the UK’s Central Maritime Training Unit based in Southampton.

He said the trainings, according to the HOIO, are to enhance the border control capabilities of the NDLEA by providing specialised training, mentoring and advanced drug detection equipment.
