Major issues are still being dissected in the round table.

*Cost of nomination forms
*Number of aspirants running for presidential office
*Emefiele’s aspiration; is it morally and legally right.

09/05/2022

HIGHLIGHT
Godwin Emiefele’s aspirations for the Country’s top job:

The advisory role of the central bank governor to the government regarding the economy, has completely died under Emefiele because he has been complicit.

This his political move leaves one questioning his non-partisanship, as stipulated in the constitution all these years.

His purchase of the 100 million Naira nomination form makes him suspicious as to what his dealings during his tenure has been all along.

Godwin Emiefele’s aspirations for the Country’s top job:
Section 9 of the central Bank Act prohibits the central bank governor from running for any political position while in office. - Barr

There is no legal backing for his decision.
