OPPORTUNITY FOR TECHNICAL TALENTS.

As part of the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, Nigeria plans to train 3 million technical talent by 2025, the Minster, Bosun Tijani, has today launched the 3MTT programme.

3mtt.nitda.gov.ng , is targeted at generating a pipeline of technical talent across Nigeria.

The programme is a key part of plans to achieve the objective of Nigeria becoming a net exporter of talent, and significantly grow our digital economy.

The first phase of the programme will be executed as a fellowship model in collaboration with NITDA, with selection of individuals with interest in specific skills and a funded training.

For the first phase, focus will be on these twelve technical skills:

Data Analysis & Visualisation
Quality Assurance
Product Management
Data Science
Animation
AI/ Machine Learning
Cybersecurity
Game Development
Cloud Computing
Dev Ops

The program is also inviting applications from training organisations to train 30,000 tech talents across Nigeria over the next 3 months in this prototype phase.

2. InShot: Best for no-frills editing for Instagram Stories, InShot is great for times when you just want to edit a video with no fancy collages and no splicing. It lets you trim, speed up, or add music and filters to video.

3. CapCut: Available on Android and iOS, CapCut is a free all-in-one video editor that makes it easy for anyone to create engaging videos from anywhere. The app offers advanced filters and beauty effects that help you achieve the perfect look for your videos.

4. Splice: Best for combining multiple clips, the way the app works is simple: you just import the videos that you want to edit, and mark the important parts of the video. You can then add music to the video, and then the app automatically clips the entire video according to the Hilights that you marked.

5. QUICK: Best for automated quick editing. Great choice if you’re looking for a free app that’s packed with features.
It is Free, with in-app purchases on iPhone, iPad and Android.

To wrap things up, every editing app will be different, but there are a few features you’ll want to look for. Whether paid or free, these features include:

👉🏽 Ability to scrub through video as you edit.
👉🏽 Choosing an aspect ratio that fits with your target platform (Instagram, Youtube, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).
👉🏽 Adding text and shapes along with professional transitions throughout the shots.
👉🏽 Exporting video with at least 480p quality with high definition exports up to 4k.
👉🏽 Adding music to the video via stock music or your library.
