WHAT IS CHURCH?
Church is a community of faithful believers in whom Jesus is the head, called out from the world to serve God.

WHO ARE THESE FAITHFUL BELIEVERS
- Those that believe only in God
- Those that don't ask God wrong question.
- They don't serve God only when things are good
- They don't worship God only when the are happy
- Those that see Jesus as head of the community.

WHERE CHURCH STARTED
-The church had started right in the time of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden
- In time of Abraham this was call the Abrahamic church and through the promises of God.
- Move down to the land of Egypt
- The wilderness which is our world now
(Baptism).
Promise land which is the final church (Heaven).

FOUNDATION OF THE CHURCH
- Christ As The Head: the name church was head used of in the new testament m it means here the body of Christ, which means the is not complete without the body of Christ as the head. As the same vain we can't walk without our head.
As the body of Christ the devil have no authority over you cause your head being Christ is still functioning.
The church is the temple and we are the temple. Saying God is not in the church the u're saying God is not in you.

- The church as the bride of Christ: the church is the bride of God which means we should wait for faithfully for Him.
Ask of him anything and He will give it unto you because He is our husband.
Everything about the church depends in our relationship with God as our husband.
As a bride or church we are Abraham's offspring, we are not just a child of God but sons.

Sub-theme: The characteristics of the Church.

Introduction: The church is the body of Christ. It is an association of those who are called out and accept Christ teaching. The church is much more than a building, and biblical does refer to people who follow Christ (Eph. 4:16, 1:22).
The Apostolic church was born on the day of pentecost when the Holy Spirit descended on every soul present in the upper room (Acts 2:1-18). The name APOSTOLIC stemmed from the twelve apostles (in Greek means sent one), The church is known to be a Bible based church with total dependence on the word of God (ll Timothy 3:16-17). The church is characteristically different from other Churches, they are operating the five ascension gifts as well as the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit visibly displayed.

A SHORT HISTORY OF THE APOSTOLIC CHURCH:
- To make known worldwide the forgiveness of sins through the atoning death if Christ
- The baptism in water by immersion
- The baptism of the Holy Ghost with signs following
- The nine gifts of the Holy Spirit
- The five gifts of our ascended Lord
- The vision reference to in the New Testament (as the church which is His body)
- The tenet which showcase the principles, belief and doctrine of the church
- Rules of belief
- Rules of conduct

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE APOSTOLIC CHURCH
- The Apostolic church has great passion to teach out to the lost. This is to show them the plan of salvation and establish them in the local assemblies (act 2:37-41, 4:1-4
- Miracle, signs and healing often take place in The Apostolic Church. This is enabled through the supernatural, prophecy, baptism and gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 3:1-10, 4:14, 8:5-13).
- The Apostolic church is characterized by a strong deliverance ministry (Acts 5:12-16, 12:5-17).
- The church possess a strong foundation in praise and worship, spiritual hymns. (Psalm 100:4)

- The church has a balance and rice teaching focus on Christ alone (Acts 5:42).
- The Apostolic church has strong prayer and intercessory ministries (James 5:16).
- The scripture is the sole authority for faith and practice (ll Timothy 3:16-17)
- The exist an established well organized governmental structure and order of authority in the Apostolic church: Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, Teachers, Elders and Deacons (Eph. 4:11-13, Acts 6:2-6)
- The church has two important ordinances (Acts 2:41-42)
- The church has passion for righteous living and believes in the second coming of Christ (Romans 12-1-2).

CONCLUSION
The Apostolic church is unique in both administration and operation, giving every member opportunity to develop capacity and put to use spiritual gifts, which is different from what operates in other denomination.
