One thing about me; I DO NOT GET FAMILIAR WITH THE ALTAR AND/OR STAGE

Every single time, I treat it like it’s my first time with the mic.
I’ll pray, rehearse, deliver, ask for feedback

My feedback circle, which comprises of my dear husband , my friends and already know I’ll ask them for feedback.

Here are a few ways I stay prepared:

✅I pray - old school right? No wahala. I’ll pray about it o. It doesn’t matter how good people think I am at it, I will pray about it. Prayer is how I subdue my flesh (pride, arrogance and overconfidence)

✅I rehearse - I do not rely on talent alone and that’s because “Talent is never enough” in ‘s voice. Many times I’ve heard the statement “no be you again, you’ll deliver”, which is true but, I also know that that statement is recipe for overconfidence which leads to failure, so I rehearse every single time.

✅I NEVER freestyle: Everything I say or do is usually well thought of. I have a stage principle- NEVER TRY ANYTHING NEW IF YOU’RE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE AUDIENCE - especially cracking jokes

Every time I step on a platform, I remind myself that people are trusting me with their attention. That trust must be honored

You are truly one of the most inspiring leaders I know. Your ability to carry responsibility, coordinate people, and still show up with excellence never ceases to amaze me.

What stands out the most is how you bring out the best in everyone around you. You don’t just lead, you build people, you build systems, and you build excellence effortlessly.

You carry so much more with grace and strength. That alone is a lesson in leadership and character.

Thank you for all you do at CANA and beyond. Thank you for being a constant source of inspiration.

The question isn’t whether you’re influential.
It’s whether you’re being intentional with the influence you already hold.

EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON EARTH IS INFLUENTIAL!

As I stood in front of the room that Friday afternoon, speaking on Building Kingdom Influence Through Communication, Personal Branding, and Business Visibility, one thing that became very clear to me is that most people drastically underestimate how influential they already are.

We’ve been conditioned to believe that influence belongs to people with massive platforms, loud voices, titles, or huge followings. But influence is not fame. Influence is capacity.

Just like personal branding, it’s the ability to shape how people think, decide, and act, and that ability exists whether you’re using it consciously or not.

Scripture puts it plainly:
“You are the salt of the earth… You are the light of the world.”

Salt doesn’t announce itself.
Light doesn’t beg to be seen.

They influence simply by showing up and doing what they were designed to do.

Kingdom influence is not confined to pulpits, microphones, or church walls. It shows up in your workplace, your business, your internship, your family, your conversations, YOUR ONLINE PRESEBCE - your life.

And here’s the part many believers and professionals miss👇

Influence increases with visibility, communication, and presence.
When it isn’t expressed, it stays dormant.

One of your biggest platforms for influence is your personal brand.

Whether you acknowledge it or not, you are already communicating something. You are already shaping perception. The question is whether you’re doing it intentionally.

The real question isn’t if you’re influential,
it’s whether you’re being intentional with the influence you’ve been given.

These were words few months ago.

She had just completed my 6-week mentorship program - The Personal Brand Mentorship Program and was all pumped up. “Where are your people?” I asked. “They are in Makurdi”

And that was how I found myself in Makurdi, Benue State last Thursday.

The woman who pulled together young adults from all around Africa for the Soar Summit.

I know people travel across states to attend conferences, I didn’t realize people would be willing to travel across countries, into Benue state for a conference.

I promise, you’re a leader and I’ll prove it

Whenever conversations about leadership start, many people zone out. You hear leadership and immediately imagine your supervisor at the office, your team lead in church, CEOs in their corner offices, presidents, people who speak from podiums with microphones etc

So you quietly excuse yourself from the room. But that’s where we get it wrong.

Leadership isn’t about having people reporting to you.

Leadership is influence!

It’s how your actions shape people’s decisions knowingly or unknowingly.

Let me break it down

You recommend a movie, and your friend watches it.
You suggest a restaurant, and someone tries it.
You read a book, share the lessons, and someone goes looking for that book.

That small pull, that subtle way your voice moves someone, that’s leadership.

Leadership is when your younger sibling copies how you talk.
Leadership is when your colleague asks, “How do you stay so organized?”
Leadership is when your friend calls you every time life becomes confusing because somehow, you always have clarity.

You’re influencing people without a title.
That makes you a leader already.

You don’t become a leader when you get a position.
You get a position because you were already leading.

If leadership is influence, then your job is to develop the kind of influence that makes people better because they met you.
