Be Careful How You Defend Politicians, The Game Can Turn Against You (Nde Ori Na Crisis)

By Ifeanyi Okali

In Nigeria’s charged political environment, loyalty is often confused with recklessness. Many people, especially political supporters and media aides rush to defend their principals with unnecessary aggression, throwing insults left and right on social media, radio, television, and newspapers. They believe they are protecting their leaders, but in truth, they may be setting themselves up for humiliation.

One bitter truth I have observed over the years is this: politicians fight publicly but reconcile privately. The person you are abusing today on behalf of your boss might become your boss’s closest ally tomorrow. Politics is not warfare; it is negotiation, and those who understand it know that there are no permanent enemies, only permanent interests.

Sadly, some media aides and self-styled “defenders” enjoy it when there is crisis between their boss and others (Nde Ori Na Crisis). They see political conflict as an opportunity to make money, issuing press statements, sponsoring attacks, and fanning the flames of discord all in the name of “loyalty.” Behind the scenes, some even charge their principals for every release, post, or media appearance, pretending to be defending them while actually exploiting the situation for financial gain.

This toxic cycle not only damages reputations but also deepens divisions that the principals themselves may later regret. Ironically, when the same politicians they helped to attack reconcile which happens often these overzealous aides are left in the cold, exposed and discarded like used tools.

Real loyalty is not about fueling conflict; it is about promoting peace, protecting image, and advising with wisdom. A genuine aide tells the truth, even when it is uncomfortable. But many of today’s so-called media aides have turned the noble art of communication into a marketplace of blackmail and propaganda, believing controversy equals relevance.

Politics is about persuasion, not provocation. A mature supporter defends with facts, not insults. A true communicator builds bridges, not walls. If your defense of a politician turns you into a weapon of division, you are not loyal — you are lost.

Every politician should also take note: beware of aides who smile during crisis they profit from chaos (Nde Ori Na Crisis). The best advisers are those who calm the storm, not those who make it louder.

In politics, the music changes often, and when it does, those who danced carelessly to the wrong tune are left behind. So, to every supporter, media aide, and loyalist: tread with caution, think before you speak, and always defend wisely.

Politicians Must Avoid Surrounding Themselves With Aides Who Can’t Win Their Polling Units (Nde Ori Na Crisis) |

By Ifeanyi Okali

In Nigerian politics, one of the most costly mistakes any politician can make is surrounding themselves with aides and associates who lack grassroots influence, individuals who cannot even secure victory in their own polling units during elections. This unfortunate trend has become increasingly common, often weakening the political base of many officeholders and aspirants alike.

Politics is not sustained by noise; it thrives on structure, strategy, and results. Unfortunately, many politicians today are encircled by individuals whose only relevance exists on social media. They are loud online, yet lack any real electoral weight within their local communities. These individuals may dominate digital spaces with flattery and propaganda, but when it comes to mobilizing votes or delivering at the grassroots, they contribute nothing tangible.

A wise politician must understand that the true measure of political strength lies in the people who can command trust and loyalty at the local level. Every election is won or lost at the polling units, not on Facebook, X (Twitter), or Instagram. Real political capital is built among the people — market women, youth groups, traditional leaders, and voters in the neighborhoods who determine electoral outcomes.

Surrounding yourself with aides who cannot win their own polling units is like building a house on sand — it may stand for a while, but it will surely crumble when tested. True political soldiers are those who can deliver results where it matters most, not those who merely seek validation through online applause.

Therefore, politicians must begin to re-evaluate their inner circles. It is no longer enough to have followers who can trend your name online; you need people who can defend your record, mobilize genuine support, and translate influence into votes.

The future of effective political leadership in Nigeria depends on this — a shift from social media noise to grassroots engagement, from empty visibility to measurable impact.

Deputy Speaker, Kalu Accuses Otti Govt Of Borrowing Without Accountability, Running On Propaganda |

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, has accused the Abia State Government of massive borrowing without visible results, describing it as “a government run on propaganda rather than performance.”

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Levinus Nwabughiogu, Kalu cited the $263.8 million African Development Bank (AfDB) syndicated loan approved for Abia, along with a $125 million disbursement from the Islamic Development Bank, saying there is no trace of impactful projects tied to these funds.

21-Year-Old Disabled Girl With Autism Impregnated By Unknown Man In Port Harcourt (Photos + Video) |
💔💔💔😭😭😭

A heartbreaking story has emerged from Oyigbo, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where a 21-year-old physically challenged young woman, identified as Adanma, has reportedly been impregnated by an unknown man.

Adanma, who suffers from autism spectrum disorder, is crippled, unable to walk, and can barely speak. According to her mother, the young woman’s condition made it impossible for her to defend herself or communicate what happened.

The distraught mother told reporters that she did not know when her daughter became pregnant, explaining that she only noticed physical changes before confirming the pregnancy. Sadly, she lamented that she cannot afford to register her daughter for antenatal care due to financial hardship.

“This girl can’t even move on her own, can’t talk clearly, and someone still had the heart to do this to her. I don’t even know when it happened,” the heartbroken mother cried.

Residents of the community have condemned the act, describing it as b∆rbaric and inhumane, while calling on security agencies to launch a full investigation to bring the perpetrator to justice.

Meanwhile, the unidentified man alleged to have committed the crime is said to be walking freely within the community, while the helpless young woman battles both trauma and pregnancy-related pain.

This disturbing incident has sparked public outrage, with many Nigerians taking to social media to demand and calling on the government to strengthen laws protecting vulnerable persons from sexual abuse and exploitation.
