A genuine odinala adherent does not go about killing people or spilling human beings blood. Whenever he is offended beyond his/her endurance level, he/she invokes OGU because Ogu wu ike. It's the duty of ogu to summon all the cognate spirit forces of the offended where his/her matter is tabled, discussed, analysed and judgment passed using Ofo as instrument of Justice. Whatever happened to the person who committed the offence, it's Ogu that went on rampage using the age long aphorisms of "O biara egbu m, gbuo onwe ya. Onye ishi m na-awa aja ga-eji ishi ya suo ya. And ishi kote ebu o gbakasia ya ahu"!!!

When we fight physically the spiritual energy will be deactivated, the silent of an angry mariner is more dangerous than a fire close to open fuel tank.

Islam came to Yorubaland around the year 1440 when Oluaso was Alaafin of the Oyo Empire.

Christianity arrived on September 24, 1842, with the Methodists led by Reverend Thomas Birch Freeman. That's a difference of 402 years.

However, due to free western education, skills acquisition, and scholarships to England, Christianity was able to close a 400-year gap in less than 70 years dominating the Western States of Ekiti and Ondo.

Nevertheless, Western Nigeria remains the most stable region, in terms of religious tolerance, in Nigeria. This is due to the Yoruba traditional religion that accommodated both Christianity and Islam in Yorubaland. Ìgbo Christians and traditional religion must learn how to live together in peace and respect everyone's belief like Yoruba people.

IGBOS OF EQUATORIAL GUINEA

Equatorial Guinea, located at the Eastern end of the Gulf of Guinea, West coast of Africa, is the only Spanish speaking country on the continent.

The tribes dwelling in this country include the Bubi, Fang and the Igbo.
The Igbo people of Bioko, as officially declared by the government of Equatorial Guinea, is the third-largest tribe after Fang and Bubi tribes, and occupies a small area in Bioko. They speak Pidgin English, Fang, Igbo and Bubi indigenous languages, as well as Spanish.

Igbos of Equatorial Guinea, numbering 33,500, are no longer unreachable. They are part of the Igbo people cluster within the Sub-Saharan African affinity bloc, this group, though a minority of people ranking third-largest in Equatorial Guinea, a country with a total population of 1.2Million people.

Their primary language is Igbo. The primary religion practiced by the Igbo is marginal Christianity, a form of religion with roots in Christianity but not theologically Christian.

As regards the language, Igbo is a recognized official language in Equatorial Guinea and it has been confirmed that the people still speak the Igbo language which has some form of deviation from the modern Igbo spoken in Nigeria.

Most of Igbo decendant in Equatorial Guinea move from Arochukwu, during Spanish exploitation plantation. In 19th century many labourers came from Igbo land. Ndi Igbo called the place PANYA.

Some people who have seen them said they say, ‘bia ikaa’ for ‘come here’.

European missionaries who brought the Christian faith to Africa did not bring sick people to the church for healing. They built rather hospitals. In Europe today sick people are not treated in the church but in hospitals. Our African ancestors did not bring sick persons to shrines for healing. It was either the native doctor was invited or the sick was taken to him/ her. The question remains: who taught us that the church is a healing centre? Where did we learn it from? Who did we copy from? Are we sure that we are really ok?
