This is Mr. Ejike Ferguson aka (Apatambe). from Umuanunu Village in Etiti Mgboko Umuanunu Autonomous Community, Obingwa L.G.A. Ábíá State to whom Mr. Onozie Ugwumba from Umuokahia 2 in Anunu Ukwu Autonomous Community of the same L.G.A. put Mr. Ejike Ferguson inside his Dog house as a punishment of none payment for contracting his cassava granding machine. The dog devoured Mr. Ejike Ferguson who is a common man in our society. Mr Ejike Ferguson is laying critically ill at yet identified hospital . This matter is reported to Umuobiakwa police station who issued him paper to go to hospital. As at this time of reporting, Mr. Onozie Ugwumba refused to answer police invitation claiming that it will only cause him money even if Ejike died. Please share this report to get to the commissioner of police for necessary action.

Tinubu, Wike ‘disagree’ over refund on federal roads built by Rivers govt

President-elect, Ahmed Bola Tinubu has said he will not refund the cost of the flyovers constructed on the federal government’s road by Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.

Tinubu made the comments on Wednesday, May 3rd, in Port Harcourt while commissioning the 12th flyover constructed by Gov. Wike.

Wike had during his speech appealed to the president-elect to refund to Rivers State the cost of the projects done on the federal government’s road when he is sworn-in as President on May 29.

But responding to Wike’s demands, Tinubu said, "On the demand you made for refund, I owe you nothing. It’s your road.

"You are the one living on these roads. I commend your efforts. You have to lobby me to collect."

Tribunal Orders INEC to allow Abia PDP Inspect Governorship Election Materials

The Abia State Governorship election Petition Tribunal sitting in Umuahia the Abia State Capital has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to allow the Peoples Democratic Party access to all the materials used by the commission to conduct the March 18th Governorship election in Abia State.

In a motion Exparte filed by Sir C.O Nwaogu Esq and C.C Nwogu, counsel for the PDP, the Tribunal also ordered INEC to ensure that the BVAS machines,Form EC8A, EC8B, EC8C, EC8D,EC8E, electoral materials, collation officers report and all ballot papers used for the conduct of the election.

The Tribunal Chairman Hon Justice M M Gwatana also granted leave to the Peoples Democratic Party to obtain the nomination forms submitted by all the political parties that contested the Governorship election in Abia State.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Suit number EPT/AB/GOV/01/2023 is challenging the declaration of Dr Alex Otti as Abia State elect by the Independent National electoral commission (INEC).

The 24 members- elect of the 9th Abia State House of Assembly have received their Certificates of Return from INEC

The National Commissioner, INEC, Barr. Festus Okoye who gave the charge while congratulating the members elect at an event held at the Ochendo International Conference Centre, Umuahia reminded them of their exclusive responsibility which is to make laws and enshrine peace in the state.

Speaking on behalf of the members-elect, Hon. Ibekwe Nnamdi Chimdi of the PDP from Bende North said the elections have been won and lost and its time for everyone to come together to enthrone peace and democratic dividends for a better Abia.

Government Special Announcement.

The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, has approved the immediate dissolution of all Political appointees in the State.

Those affected include; Special Assistants, Senior Special Assistants, Special Advisers and Technical Officers.

The Governor further directs the State Accountant General to ensure immediate payment of March,2023 stipends to all the appointees.

The Governor thanked them for their contributions and services to the State and wish them well in their future endeavors.

Actor Yul Edochie loses first son.

Emerging reports indicate that Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has lost his first son, Kambilichukwu Edochie.

It was gathered that Yul’s first son was rushed to the hospital after falling unconscious.

A source who spoke to Vanguard on condition of anonymity revealed that Yul has confirmed Kambilichukwu’s death as the time this report was filed.

May’s sister who was at the scene said the boy read throughout the night preparing for his exam today. After his exam in school, he joined his mates to play football and that’s when he developed a seizure and was rushed to Mother and Child Hospital. All efforts by the doctors to resuscitate him proved abortive, the report added.

This is coming two months after Yul Edochie and his first wife May, celebrated their first son and second child as he turned 15; showering encomiums and blessings on him.

“My first son just turned 15. Happy birthday to you Kambi Leo Yul-Edochie. Many more great years I wish you with loads of accomplishments and greatness. May God be with you always. Daddy loves you,” his father wrote on Instagram

Yul, the last child of veteran actor, Pete Edochie, married his wife, Mary, at 22 after they both dated for six years. He followed in his father’s footsteps and debuted in the movie industry a year after his marriage.

GOVERNOR OKEZIE IKPEAZU CONGRATULATES GOVERNOR ELECT, ALEX OTTI

The Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu has sent a message of congratulations to the Labor Party Candidate in the 2023 Gubernatorial Election in Abia State, Dr Alex Otti, OFR on his emergence as Governor Elect.

Governor Ikpeazu noted that Dr. Otti has fought a long battle over a very long period of time and deserves commendation for his staying power and resilience.

In the words of the Governor, "Since we have come to the logical end of this battle, it is appropriate to congratulate the winner, Dr Alex Otti on his hard fought victory. In every battle, there will always be a winner and in the spirit of sportsmanship and love for our state, the Governor elect must see his victory as a higher call to service to the people of Abia State".

The Governor also salutes the other candidates who took part in the election, especially the PDP candidate, Sir Okey Ahiwe, for their doggedness. Dr Ikpeazu is of the considered opinion that the Governor-Elect should be given an enabling environment to run the affairs of state from May 29th, 2023 and hereby advises the candidates not to distract the incoming Governor with court cases.
According to the Governor, "having myself spent about three and half years in different courts and having experienced first hand, the distraction such cases can cause a leader, I appeal to every candidate in this election not to distract the incoming administration with court cases, so that they will settle down and deal with the very demanding business of governance. Let us break this negative trend of subjecting our Governors to endless litigations and allow them to concentrate on providing good governance".

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu assures the Governor Elect that he will put in place every necessary measure to ensure a seamless transition from his administration to his.

The Governor thanks the people of Abia State for casting their votes in a very peaceful atmosphere and reminds them that peace remains very critical in the quest for sustainable development, charging them to accord the incoming Governor every necessary support that will enable him succeed.

Governor Ikpeazu ends by wishing the incoming Governor, God's blessings and guidance while assuring the people of Abia State that he will continue to discharge his duties as Governor until the 29th day of May, 2023 when he will handover to the new Governor.
