Please note. We have two types of inches!!

The imperial or standard inches and then we have the Chinese inches also known “Yīngcùn” (usually shortened to cùn). Chinese inches are longer than the standard inches.

The most commonly used here in africa and many other part of the world is the imperial inches.

So one has to be careful of the kind of tape-rule he takes measurements with.

Cos both types of inch calibration are used on tape rules in market. Though the standard tape rule is very more common.

However, beware of the Chinese Inches. It could bring you touching stories.
