An Orchestra is a large Classical Instrumental ensemble, which combines instruments from different families in groped sections. The word was derived from Greek, meaning a stage where instruments with its chorus combine music and drama to create theatre.
The first semblance of a modern orchestra came in the early 17th century when the Italian opera composer Claudio Monteverdi formally assigned specific instruments to perform his music.
A full size orchestra may be called a symphony orchestra with over 100 musicians in that performance. For less than 50 performance it can be called a chamber orchestra.
