I was sound asleep that night until my mom abruptly woke me up at around 12:15am meanwhile dad traveled since the previous week. Being only fifteen years old and already serving as an executive in the teens department at my church, I was a bit disoriented.
"Anita... Anita... Anita..." My mom called out again, switching on the light. I was startled because I was the one who helped her carry her bags when she left the house at 7pm the previous day. Why was she still awake at this hour?
"Mummy... I thought you went on a trip," I asked, displaying my confusion.

I muttered quietly to myself, feeling a sense of unease. "My mother would never force me to do something against my will. Something doesn't feel right." In a rush, I made my way to the living room, frantically pulling the curtains apart and peering through the window to check if her car was parked outside. To my surprise, the place was empty.
Suddenly, my mother entered the room, but something was drastically different about her appearance. Her entire body was swollen, and her face had ballooned
