Damian's Innocence, a case of you go explain tire but no evidence
About Okoligwe Damian Chinemere, the prime suspect and the occupant of a two-bedroom flat on Road 20 behind NTA, Ozuoba in Obio-Akpor council area of Rivers State, where the dismembered body of a 20-year-old Justina Taffiny Otuene was found, is one story that has raised so many questions begging for answers.
Today, at the Police Headquarters on Moscow Road, the suspect, just as he appears here, was calm, calculated, collected, and indifferent about side talks flying about his alleged action. His demeanour was that of a cat, quiet, not frightened nor facially expressing remorse, unlike many who would not control their flippant mouths, running them in different directions before you said the word 'GO'.
The suspect, never minding what had been on the internet in the last 24 hours about him, demanded water from his IPO, subsequently asking for Coke and biscuits just as he made several trips to his IPO to whisper in his ear.
When asked why he did what he was accused of, he said he did not kill his victim. He explained that on the day she came, he took ill and overslept in his parlour while the victim was in the bedroom - an apartment he rented barely a week before, adding that he woke up in the morning to find her body "stiff and strong"(his word) but carried her to another room, called his brother, who came and him his house, where he stayed for days to treat himself. He said he returned to the house to dispose of the body before the whole police arrest came about on Wednesday.
He could not connect the dots between how the 20-year-old died and how her body was dismembered.
He said he is from Imo state, Orlu, to be precise, and he is a 24-year-old, 400-level Petrochemical engineering student of UNIPORT and doubles as a super agent for 9jabet.
