Are you self or Spiritually Aware ?
Beloved, the type of relationship you have with God reveals the depth of your spiritual awakening. It is not about how many years you have been in church, but about the level of transformation you have allowed the Spirit of God to work in you.
“Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates ?”
2 Corinthians 13:5
There are three realms of spiritual existence here on Earth
1. The Realm of the Flesh — (God’s Creation)
At this level, you are only a creation of God, your ultimate desire is to satisfy your flesh, you have not accepted God's gift of salvation so you are not His child. You may attend church, sing hymns, and even pray, but your heart has not been surrendered to Christ. You are still governed by your flesh and vulnerable to demonic influence.
“For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.”
Romans 8:5
If you remain here, the flesh can hold you sway in addictions, elemental spirits can manipulate you and the gods of your forefathers can still lay claim on you. Whether you worship idols or go to church every Sunday, you remain open to demonic manipulation, oppression and possession. At this stage, spiritual attacks can overwhelm you because you lack the covering of the blood of Jesus.
2. The Realm of God’s Children (Believers in Christ)
At this level, you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. You have been sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise (Ephesians 1:13). You are now a child of God, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.
“But as many as received him, to them he gave power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.”
John 1:12
Here, you gain spiritual sensitivity. You begin to discern the voice of God from the voice of strangers. When you fall into sin, you do not remain in guilt, but feel the urgency to repent and return to right standing with God. If you submit to mentorship, you gain obedience, trust in God, faithfulness etc and nourishment by the Word, growing in grace, and learning accountability before God.
3. The Realm of Sonship (gods in Christ)
This is the highest level of spiritual awakening. It is the realm of responsibility, authority, and intimacy with God.
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”
Romans 8:14
At this stage, you have passed through God’s fire and been refined through trials. Satan has tested you, but you have chosen to trust God. You no longer live for yourself, but Christ lives in you (Galatians 2:20). You have tasted the sweetness of God’s love and burned every bridge to the world behind you.
Here, you operate in dominion. You can stir spiritual uprisings, correct mistakes in the spirit realm, discern between angels of light and demons, and enforce God’s decrees in the earth. Occult men and agents of darkness recognize your authority in Christ, because you are seated with Him in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6).
At this level, it is almost impossible to backslide because your will has been crucified, and God’s will has become your will. You have been “sealed unto the day of redemption” (Ephesians 4:30).
Why This Matters
The realm of sonship is the realm every believer must aspire to. It is the place of unshakable faith, immovable love, and eternal security in Christ. At this level, hell loses its grip over you. You become a living testimony that "Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world”* (1 John 4:4).
Child of God, where do you stand today? Creation? Childhood? Or Sonship?
The Spirit is calling you deeper. Do not remain in the realm of the flesh. Do not be satisfied with mere childhood. Press into sonship, for "The earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.” (Romans 8:19).
Jesus urges you to walk with Him until every bridge to Satan is burned, every idol is dethroned, and every chain is broken. Then, you will know the true joy of living as a son of God, never to turn back.
