President Bola Tinubu has condemned the violent acts perpetrated by kidnappers across the country.

President Bola Tinubu said that individuals involved in such despicable crimes must be treated as terrorists.

The President said this at a Ramadan dinner with members of the Federal judiciary led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria CJN, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola.

The President said those who resort to kidnapping children are cowards, incapable of confronting the might of the Nigerian Armed Forces.

On the review of salaries of judicial officers, the President pledged that his administration would continue to implement necessary reforms to improve the welfare and working conditions of judicial officers.

President Tinubu expressed gratitude to the judiciary for their dedicated service to the nation, acknowledging their role in upholding the respectability of the judicial arm of government.

Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara says his administration will not operate like a dictator but will continue to consult widely to ensure it delivers a liberated and peaceful state.

Governor Siminalayi Fubara said this at the presentation of Certificate of Recognition and Staff of Office to the Amanyanabo of Okochiri Kingdom, King Ateke Michael Tom, as a first-class traditional ruler, at Government House in Port Harcourt.

Governor Siminalayi Fubara further said that he acted within the ambit of the law to upgrade the traditional stool of King Ateke Tom in recognition of his efforts in promoting peace in Okrika the State

In his speech, the former Minister of Transportation Abiye Sekibo thanked Governor Fubara for fulfilling his promise of upgrading the traditional stool of Okochiri Kingdom and pledged the support of the people to the Governor Fubara-led administration.

On his part, Commissioner of Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Charles Amadi, also congratulated King Ateke Tom for his recognition as a first-class traditional ruler
