When I was in class 6, I used to ask a lot of questions. .....!
One day, I asked my English Teacher, "Why do we ignore some letters in pronunciation eg. the letter H .......in Hour, Honour. .....etc. ......??????
My English Teacher said, " We are not ignoring them; they're considered silent "......
(I was even more confused .....?????)
During the lunch break, my Teacher gave me her packed lunch and asked me to heat it in the Cafeteria.
I ate all the food and returned her the empty container...!!!!
My English Teacher : What happened Pelekelo? I told you to go and HEAT my food, you are returning me an empty container.
I replied, "Madam, I thought 'H' was silent.
So I eat it

NEWSWike finally gives condition for accepting appointment from Tinubu

Former Governor of Rivers, Nyesom Wike, has opened up on whether he would accept appointment if offered to him by President Bola Tinubu.

Wike disclosed this on Tuesday while fielding questions during a media chat with journalists in Port Harcourt.

The programme was monitored by DAILY POST.

Wike said circumstances will tell you and that he is not lobbying for an appointment.

Recall that the former Rivers Governor had been making romance with the Tinubu’s All Progressives Congress, APC, prior to the February 25 presidential election, and even after the inauguration of Tinubu’s government.

Wike belongs to the opposition, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, but worked against the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

Speaking with BBC Pidgin over the weekend, Wike said he would consult his wife and friends if Tinubu offered him an appointment.

Meanwhile, the former governor stated that he isn’t begging for appointment but would would consider the capacity he is to serve, if Tinubu calls him.

“You can’t ask me that kind of question.
First of all, I am not lobbying for an appointment, for Christ sake. And I can’t only be important because you have given me an appointment. I mean, you should look ate very well.

“Two, Mr President has not called me. With due respect, if Mr President calls you and say, I want you to serve. May be I will ask, in what capacity do you want me to serve. And he says it, I say okay, thank you Sir.

“Look I have a political team, I have a family, I won’t just sit down without talking to anybody and say oh Yes. Look, look, I am not begging for appointment.

“We are not being objective. I have to explain to you how it’s done, you don’t just say will you take or not. What kind of question is that? At my level, you don’t ask whether I will take or I won’t take. No, Circumstances will tell you. You see you never can t

“Biafra’s Freedom Non-Negotiable” – Nnamdi Kanu Declares from Captivity

Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has reaffirmed his unwavering dedication to realising Biafra as an independent nation.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Kanu’s message was relayed by his legal counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, via a tweet on Tuesday.

Despite being held in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) in Abuja since 2021, Kanu expressed gratitude to the IPOB members for their unwavering support in his quest for release.

He assured them that Biafra’s self-determination would be pursued to its ultimate resolution, emphasising its non-negotiable nature.

In the tweet, Ejimakor shared Kanu’s words, stating, “Personal Message from Mazi Nnamdi Kanu: ‘I deeply appreciate the abiding solidarity of the people of Biafra & the entire IPOB noble family against my continued illegal detention. I assure you all that our pursuit of self-determination to its logical conclusion is non-negotiable.'”

Gone to a far away place where my feet dread to thread.

Mama, this farm is yours and all the crops in it.
The cassava I sowed, the yams and plantains are all yours.

I am lost in this world of money and greed.
Lost in a world where my conscience is worth nothing but a piece of coin.
I want to go to the city to stare in the face of toil and gain.

No, I don't want to talk about Hilda now. I want to talk about her assistant. This guy has not rested. I didn't see him being massaged and taken care of. If there is any record for his role, he broke it!!! This guy deserves an award!

Whenever Hilda get so tired, he holds her and whispers only God knows what and in a few minutes, she gets back.
