🚜 WOMEN AGRO VALUE EXPANSION (WAVE) PROGRAM TAKES OFF IN ABUJA

Launched by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in June 2025, the Women Agro Value Expansion (WAVE) Program is rapidly expanding with the commissioning of the FCT Centre.

Pilots are already active in Nassarawa, Benue, Kaduna, and Ogun States, with a bold target of reaching 10 million women farmers nationwide.

At the FCT launch, the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON (represented by Nana Shettima, Wife of the Vice President), emphasized:

“By equipping women farmers with knowledge, skills and access to modern agricultural practices, we can increase food production, household nutrition and boost our local economy. We must utilise our land and natural resources to ensure food security for all Nigerians.”

Through WAVE Centres, women farmers will access training, modern tools, and agro-entrepreneurship opportunities. This directly aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda, placing agriculture and women’s empowerment at the heart of building a trillion-dollar economy.

Women farmers are encouraged to register their agribusiness with CAC to fully benefit from these opportunities.
