BIAFRA POUNDS

On this day 29/1 /1968, the Biafran Pounds were introduced. It was the currency of the defunct Republic of Biafra between 1968 and 1970.

The first notes to be introduced were denominated in 5 shillings and £1. A series of coins was issued in 1969; 3 pence, 6 pence, 1 shilling and 2½ shilling coins were minted, all made of aluminium.

The most common note is the 1968 and 1969 1 pound notes, with the £10 note and all coins being rare.

Fulani terrorists are planning to slaughter your kin and kinsmen, especially those in the villages who are defenceless. They have come to kill and destroy in order to continue their agenda of Fulanization and Islamization, which was started by Usman Dan Fodio. As Biafrans, we can avoid these attacks by supporting our capable Eastern Security Network (ESN) in any way we can, such as by donating on the official IPOB website, IPOB.org .

That fund you may use to bury your loved ones in the coming days during these Fulani planned attacks. Use a portion of it now to support ESN to avoid regrets. A stitch in time saves nine. Ndewo nu.
