A white substance that sparked an emergency evacuation at the White House on Sunday night, July 2, has been discovered to be co***ne following a test that was carried out.

The powder was found in a publicly accessible area of the West Wing on Sunday evening and prompted a brief evacuation of the complex.

President Joe Biden was not present at the time, as he was enjoying a weekend retreat at Camp David.

President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima have backed up their argument of Peter Obi not being a member of Labour Party by producing an alleged register of the party for Anambra state.

Tinubu and Shettima had claimed that Obi was not qualified to contest in the last presidential election on the platform of the Labour Party because he is not a member of the opposition party.

Their lawyer, Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN) tendered the register along with LP’s letter, dated April 25, 2022 forwarding the membership register to the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Though Obi and Labour Party's lawyer, Livy Uzoukwu (SAN) objected to the admission of the documents, the court admitted them and marked them as Exhibits RA17 and RA18.

Wagner group chief Yevgeny Prigozhin vowed Saturday to "go to the end" to topple the Russian military leadership and dethrone Vladimir Putin.

Prigozhin's speech comes after Putin made a public speech on Saturday June 24, saying his forces will clamp down on Wagner forces for commiting treason.

Putin called armed rebellion by mercenary chief Prighozin 'betrayal,' and promised to 'defend the people' and Russia.

“Everyone who took up arms against the army is a traitor. Will do everything to protect Russia," Putin said while addressing the nation.

In response, Wagner PMC said in its Telegram channel, “Putin made the wrong choice. All the worse for him. Soon we will have a new president”

Wagner forces are reportedly just hours away from Moscow even as they take control of military governing bodies in key Russian cities.

Wagner now controls both Rostov (population 1.1 million) and Voronezh (also population 1.1 million). Wagner is now approaching Krasnodar (1 million) and Volgograd (950k) without any resistance.

The UK has now waded into the recent developments and released a statement .

"Over the coming hours, the loyalty of Russia's security forces, and especially the Russian National Guard, will be key to how this crisis plays out. This represents the most significant challenge to the Russian state in recent times," Britain's defence ministry said in a regular intelligence update.

Beyonce gives £8,000 in grant to Nigerian-owned restaurant in London

American singer, Beyoncé, has awarded a sum of £8,000 in a grant to a popular Nigerian-owned restaurant in North London, alongside nine other winners.

According to ITV news on Tuesday, the Black Parade Small Business Impact Luncheon was created by Beyoncé’s BeyGood Foundation to “celebrate people, communities, and small businesses impacted by economic inequities worldwide”, with Beyoncé committing £806,400 to support businesses.

The restaurant, Chuku’s, which is located in Tottenham was selected to receive £8,000 by Beyoncé’s foundation.

Emeka Frederick, co-founder of Chuku’s, expressing his happiness said, “This grant couldn’t be more welcome. Chuku’s, like other restaurants that don’t have a financial reserve, has been battered by lockdowns and the cost of living crisis.

“Every day, we’re fighting to stay open to make it to our fourth birthday. This money will make that fight a little easier and allow us to continue celebrating Nigerian culture on Tottenham’s High Road for the time being.”

The luncheon was held at the Four Seasons in Tower Hill where over 100 entrepreneurs gathered at the event with the chance to win £806,000 in prizes.

DSS reportedly Recovers 18 bags of cash notes from Emefiele’s residence.
Men of the Department of State Service (DSS) have reportedly discovered about 18 Ghana-must-go bags fully loaded with money from the residence of the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, in Lagos State.

According to a report by the Nigeria Tribune, it was reported that a source revealed to the news agency that the former CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, was flown from Abuja to Lagos on Friday alongside some officials of the DSS to search the residence of Emefiele.

After searching the house, it was reported that 18 Ghana-must-go bags containing currency and some sensitive documents were recovered from the House of former CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele.

"DSS took Emefiele to his house in Lagos on Thursday and returned him to Abuja on Friday afternoon. His house was searched. They took away about 18 big Ghana-must-go bags containing money and documents from the house, the source said.

DSS is also reported to be hunting for the Personal Assistant of Godwin Emefiele who is said to have firsthand information about the asset and wealth stashed away within and outside the country by the former CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele.

“His personal assistant is on the run. DSS is on a manhunt for him. He is the key to unlock Emefiele’s assets and wealth stashed away within and outside the country,” a source told Nigerian Tribune.

Dutchman who fathered up to 550 children around the world before being sued over in**st fears is still donating s***m and now wants a family of his own

Jonathan Jacob Meijer's children are all over the world. About 375 live in the Netherlands, 80 in Germany, 35 in Belgium, four in Argentina, and two in Australia, according to findings.

His fathering spree began in 2007, when Meijer, 42, registered as a s***m donor at 11 clinics and at the Cryos s***m bank. He also joined Facebook groups for women and couples who want but cannot have kids.

Earlier this year, Julia, who want to start a family with her wife Ida, was ordered to stop donating s***m to prospective parents, or face a massive fine after it was discovered that he lied to everyone.

He told each clinic he would exclusively donate there, and also told each prospective mother he 'only' had about 10 children.

When asked by German media why he wants so many kids, Meijer replied: 'I want to do something meaningful with my life.'

He added: 'Yes, I lied to the women. That was wrong. I wanted to help them.'

Many mothers of children conceived with his s***m have furiously condemned Meijer after finding out about his donation addiction.

Mothers with lookalike children sporting curly blond hair and piercing blue eyes - had even begun to meet by chance. Some started online groups to find other women who had also used the same samples.

Of them, 157 joined a Facebook support group called 'Donorkind 102 JJM'.

When asked by German media about his hundreds of children, Meijer replied: 'I like to meet them. But emotionally, they feel more like my nephews and nieces.

'Otherwise, it would be too much for me.'

Meijer himself is one of eight siblings.

The Cryos s***m bank sold his donations for around £1,100 each, but Meijer claims he donates his s***m for free. He told German media: 'I don't ask for anything, but sometimes I receive £64, a plane ticket, or a camera as a gift.'

One mother of a child conceived with Meijer's s***m sued the Dutchman in April, arguing that his actions have increased the risk of in**st.

Elon Musk has named Linda Yaccarino as Twitter's new CEO, ending speculation about who the billionaire would appoint as his successor at the social-media platform.

Yaccarino just resigned from her longtime job as NBC Universal's head of advertising on Friday, May 12 but has yet to publicly comment.

"I am excited to welcome Linda Yaccarino as the new CEO of Twitter!" Musk wrote on Twitter Friday.

In an earlier tweet May 11, Musk said he had hired a new CEO for the company, and that "she" would be starting in around six weeks.

Some advertisers, alarmed by the exodus of top ad execs from the company and the proliferation of misinformation on the site, have hit pause on ads. Just days after anointing King Charles III, Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby was prosecuted in court for speeding, it emerged on Friday.

The offence occurred on October 2, and the leader of the worldwide Anglican communion tried three times to pay the £300 ($375) fine in order to avoid court action, a Lambeth Palace spokesperson said.

“He has all the paperwork to prove that he has tried to pay. Admin errors seem to be causing problems,” the spokesperson told AFP.

“He hadn’t been notified that it had gone to court.” After the fine went unpaid, a court prosecution followed automatically and the 67-year-old archbishop on Wednesday had three penalty points slapped on his driving licence.

Under UK law, if a motorist gets 12 or more points within three years, they can be banned from driving.

The prosecution occurred on the same day that Welby intervened in a House of Lords debate to say the UK government’s plan to send asylum-seekers to Rwanda was “morally unacceptable”.

And it came shortly after the cleric on Saturday presided at the Westminster Abbey coronation of King Charles, in front of hundreds of dignitaries and a global TV audience.

Welby’s Volkswagen Golf was caught by a speed camera on a road adjacent to the River Thames as he was driving towards his official residence at Lambeth Palace, London’s Evening Standard newspaper reported.

The Presidential candidate of Labour Party during the February 25 presidential election, Peter Obi, has distanced himself and his supporters from online attacks on the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.

Adeboye was attacked on social media on Monday, May 8, after reports claimed he declared his support for President-elect, Bola Tinubu. Online reports claimed that the clergyman while speaking during a sermon on Sunday, May 7, declared that the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, can fix Nigeria with God’s help.

Twitter Chief Executive Officer, Elon Musk, on Wednesday announced a series of new features for the social platform.

He revealed that Twitter, in its latest version, will come with support for direct message replies, voice/video chats, and encrypted DM 1.0.

Musk made this known on his Twitter page.

He wrote, “With the latest version of the app, you can DM reply to any message in the thread (not just most recent) and use any emoji reaction.

“Release of encrypted DMs V1.0 should happen tomorrow. This will grow in sophistication rapidly. The acid test is that I could not see your DMs even if there was a gun to my head.

“Coming soon will be voice and video chat from your handle to anyone on this platform, so you can talk to people anywhere in the world without giving them your phone number."
