Let this sink before you read the story.

I just formed that sha 😂😂😂...
I couldn't return the card she sent me. I called her immediately I got it and asked why she sent it. She smiled and asked that I manage it. Well, I just had to act in a mature way. I called my family members and a few friends that I've not spoken to for a long time. I used the rest to subscribe, so that I can have enough data to write this story for you
Days passed by and she didn't call or chat me up. In fact, since the day she got my contact, she hasn't chatted me up. I didn't want to chat her up either. We both viewed our whatsapp statuses without saying a word to each other...
Ah! This lady is smart...
I went to get food from my usual spot. This time, I decided to ask Mama Sadiq about this lady.
"Eheh, I don dey wait make you ask me about this woman, because she don ask me about you before"
She said as I called her aside to inquire about Ms Tricia.
"I talk say I go dey look you until you ask me and I go tell you wetin dey happen", she continues...
"Mama, tell me what I need to know. Take me as your son and advice me because I don't understand what's going on again", I beckoned on her...
She laughed hysterically, turned to me immediately in a swift move and her face looking scornful and says,
"My son, be careful. You're a good guy and I've watched you closely for a while. There are certain people I'll advice to play along with her and enjoy everything that comes with it. But you, you, you (she was saying this with her finger pointing at me), you, you're different my son. You are a good boy. Be careful or DON'T take that route at all"...
I was quiet at this point. She was also quiet too. But I gestured to her with my hands to continue speaking...
She continues :
"She is a single mother of a grown-up girl. She has been married twice but left because she can't take nonsense from men. She goes clubbing alot, drinks alot, and loves to have fun with guys alot..."
Then she winks at me
"you should know what I mean by loves to have fun with guys alot..."
She smiles and continues,
"she has fine fine guys as boyfriends. She organises guys for her clique too whenever they want to have fun. She has plenty boyfriends too. So, you see. You have to be careful oooo"...
She stops, looks at me and smiles again...
"my boy, my boy..."
At this point, I was confused, dumbfounded and lost...
I left Mama Sadiq's shop like a lost puppy...
I walked like someone who was hopeless...
Got to the office and lost my appetite...
Told my colleague about everything I heard and he laughed at me;
" Oga, na wa for you o. You be small pikin sef. Haba! Abeg, near that woman make you collect money enjoy your life. Abi na for poverty you wan die. Leave all those things wey you hear. Near her make God bless you"...
Then he took my food and started to devour it...
My head come full. Infact e wan burst..(I had to type this in pidgin so that you'll get the gist).
After work that day, I went home and had dinner...
It was past 10pm and she decided to chat me up for the first time since she got my contact.
Tricia : Hi handsome
Me : good evening Ma
Tricia : haba, don't call me ma, call me Tricia ok
Me : OK...
Tricia : I feel sick
Me : what's wrong with you
Tricia : I don't know o
Me : Have you had medicine
Tricia : No. I don't need medicine
Me : So what do you need kwanu
Tricia : I am lonely.
I need sum1 to pet me
Me: what of your daughter?
Tricia : she can't give me what I need now
Sensing where this was headed, I decide to be smart...
Me : Then God can give you what you need
Tricia : I know, but I need som1 to pet me.
She then tried to reach me via video call...
It rang and I didn't pick...
Me: Its late. I can't video chat now. Besides, I'm in a meeting...
Me: Good night, we'll chat later...

Don't judge me! Episode: 2
It's been like 5 days since I met this pretty lady, but I have been avoiding a close contact with her. I even gave the security man an instruction not to let strangers into the complex to see anyone without first asking from the person.
I remember when she called by past 11pm the other night, I was busy and online writing. I hadn't saved her number, so I picked without knowing it was her. When I heard her voice, I told her,
"I'm sorry, I don't pick late night calls. Can't talk now, till tomorrow"
I ended the call...
The next day, I was at mama Sadiq's shop to get my usual. Was already done and was headed back to my office when I saw her car coming towards me. She saw me and she stopped her car.
"Fine guy, it's like you really love this woman's food.
You go there almost all the time"
I answered,
"I don't really have much of a choice. She cooks well and it's close to my office. So, I have to make do with it"...
She continued,
"why don't you follow me to my place, I'll make you something very good to eat. Then we can get to know ourselves better. You know I don't really know you well. This can be a good opportunity for us to get to know ourselves..."
I cut in,
"I'll let you know when I'll be available for that. For now, I am so busy with work and I can't leave"...
She smiled at me and just as she was about leaving , she brought out a bundle of money and stretched her hands towards me, she said,
"fine boy, use this to get yourself something. Maybe card or data."
I smiled back at her and said,
"I wish I could take this. But, I can't. Maybe some day I would. Thanks alot for your kind gestures towards me."...
We both left in the opposite direction...
I smiled on my way back to the office and I believe she was smiling too. But, we were both smiling for different reasons.
I was smiling because I thought to myself why she feels she can get me with money or even invite me to her place.
She was smiling possibly because she felt she was gonna get me with those things...
On getting to my office, my phone beeped. I got an sms from her and this time, it was not a text message. It was a recharge card. She sent me 5k airtime.
"Hmmmmm... Wahala no dey finish"
"my own just dey start"
Again don't judge me.
Till I write again, what should I have done with the airtime?

Don't judge me! Episode:1
Sometimes, what we see as right might be called into question simply because of the motive for doing it.
I have a story...
But please don't judge me or call me good because of this...
Alot of people would have still done the same.
Don't call me good.
You see this life, the decisions we make either make us or mar us...
But never judge someone because of his or her decision without being in the same situation he or she was.
Here is my story
It was a Tuesday afternoon, exactly 1pm. I stepped out to get lunch for myself. I was accompanied by a colleague who also wanted to get lunch for himself and his boss in our regular local restaurant, mama Sadiq. She cooks so well and because of her culinary skills, alot of people visit her restaurant for food. Most times, her food gets finished before its 3pm.
Just as I was waiting for her to package my food. I usually get mine in a take away, so that I can enjoy it comfortably in my space at the office. This beautiful middle aged woman, riding in a Mercedes 4matic, a recent model came down from her car and called out to mama Sadiq:
"mama Sadiq, I don come o. Abeg arrange my food sharp sharp. Remember wetin I tell you for phone"
Then she brought out her phone and made a call to her friend.
"my dear, as I was saying. Men are scum and terrible beings. I've done away with them since. If I want to satisfy myself, I look for a guy to do it for me and pay him well. No heartbreaks or emotional consequences. I do things my way and I take care of my daughter. You know she is 12 now. I guess you should do same dear and enjoy your life. Men are scum"...
Then she ended the call and took a quick gaze at me,
"I don't know why you guys are like this"....
I know she is referring to me. I smile and say,
"Not all men are the same. There are still those that are responsible"...
So, while sitting there, we had this argument and I tried to make her understand that there are still good men out there.
"Are you one of them?", she asked me.
"I don't refer to myself as good", I answered almost immediately...
"OK o...", she said as I stood to take my food from mama Sadiq who was done packing it...
"Don't worry, I'll take care of the bills",
she said to me as I brought out some money to pay for my food.
I smiled at her and thanked her for her generosity. Then I and my colleague headed back to the office.
As we walked back, my colleague expressed his admiration for the way I was able to talk sense into the woman's head for saying that all men are scum. He said that he was surprised that I had so much knowledge about love and relationship, but don't have a existing relationship.
We both laughed at ourselves...
At 2:30pm the next day, a Wednesday afternoon. I had gone to get food early enough from mama Sadiq and was done eating. I was very busy with work.
The security man came to alert me of a visitor who was asking of me. I wasn't expecting anyone neither did I invite anyone. At first, I stood thinking of who it could be.
But his description was that of a female and that made me think the more.
So, I decide to go out to see who it is.
Lo and behold! The lady from yesterday. She was looking more beautiful today and was full of smiles. She had something in her hand, barbecue and chips. She got them for me.
I was shocked to see her, but I had to act proper. She wouldn't come in, so we stood and talked for a while, let's say 10mins. She confessed to have gotten my name from mama Sadiq and also got me the barbecue because in our discussion the previous day, I kept mentioning how much I enjoyed eating it.
Then, she politely ask for my number. I did give it to her. She thanked me with a smile and left.
I stood transfixed for a few minutes while thinking of what just happened.
Headed back to the office and told my closest colleague about it, since he was the one who accompanied me and saw her the previous day. Before I could finish narrating what happened to him, he pounced on the barbecue and started to devour it like a hungry lion. I joined him...
At 5:10pm that same day, I got an SMS from a strange number,
"hey handsome, its me Miss Tricia. Hope you enjoyed the barbecue. Talk to you later"...
It was from that lady...
I don't know where this is headed, but I'll keep you posted. Till then, do tell me if I was wrong in taking the gift from her.

Google Launches its First African Cloud Region in South Africa
Google has officially announced its aim to create a new Google Cloud region in South Africa.
The cloud data center infrastructure is the first in the African continent to be deployed by the company’s Google Cloud division and will join 35 other cloud regions around the world.
The Tech Giant also announced that cloud interconnect sites will be built and linked to its new Equiano subsea broadband cable, in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Lagos, and Nairobi. These interconnect sites are supposed to provide access to the company’s data center infrastructure in South Africa.
“The new cloud region will help users, developers, businesses and educational institutions across Africa to move more information and tools online, improve access options for customers and, in turn, create jobs,” Google said at the second Google for Africa event which was held yesterday, October 5, 2022.
“According to research by AlphaBeta Economics commissioned by Google Cloud, the South Africa cloud region will contribute more than a cumulative US$2.1-billion (R37-billion) to the country’s GDP, and will support the creation of more than 40 000 jobs by 2030.”
Google, however, is yet to mention the particular location of the South African data center infrastructure. Also, we are yet to know when the region will be commercially available.
Globally, Google Cloud is the third largest provider of hyperscale cloud services, behind Amazon and Microsoft bearing the first and second positions respectively.

When she first passed by, one amongst the three guys walking on the other side of the road whispered to the others :
"See babe na"
The other turned in the direction of the pretty young lady and concurred, "She get back and front wella"...
The third, trying to be different or gentlemanly interrupted, "Is that the only thing that gets you attracted to a girl? Her back and front?"
Well, that third guy was me...
The other two were my colleagues.
And so I asked again,
"Take away the front and back from a lady, what else do you appreciate in a female"...
Not one of them were able to answer, not even one said a word again.
I won't say they are dumb heads, or empty brains, after all they made better grades in school than I did.
But, I can confidently say that they have been stereotyped in a way that they only see women as s*x tools, only meant to give them pleasure on bed and nothing more. Hence they complement their body parts and nothing more, not even the way she talks, walks, intelligence, industriousness and attitude towards her work and lifestyle.
They become automatically blind to every other amazing features of a beautiful lady, just because she looks quite attractive on the outside.
So she needs a job, they ask for s*x and not her competence, skills or capabilities...
She needs a degree, they make her pay with her body and not her brains or grades...
She needs money, she has to trade her body for it and not her business proposal or ideas...
She needs a friend, she has to be ready to open her legs and not her heart...
She visits you, you prepare a bed and not a table where you can sit and share ideas...
Why have we made our women preys, and victims simply because they have a front and a back side?
Why do we only look at females with just one intention, to s*xually devour and not to assist?
Why have we made this world an unsafe place for them?
For how long will they have to keep running from rapists, killers, s*xual predators, wife beaters, kidnappers and so-called men of God...
For how long please?
Why have we reduced these fragile creatures to nothing but mere pawns in the game of chess?
What have they done to deserve this?
Is it a crime that they were created this way?
Do we then blame God Almighty?
I was buying something from a shop of a little girl who is 16 and someone walks in and I greet, "good evening sir"...
He looks like he is in his late 30s...
I turned to the girl and said,
"please attend to him, guess he is a customer"
She smiled at me and said,
"Don't worry about him, he is my boyfriend"
Tears rolled down my cheeks,
She saw those tears and was confused as to why I was shedding tears...
So I asked her,
"Aside s*x, what else do you do you contribute to his life?"
She stood still, motionless and confused...
If the front and back are taken off from the female body, will you leave them alone?

Ukraine Forces continue its counteroffensive by capturing Lyman, a very important and strategic city. This comes after weeks of attacks from the Ukraine forces. The Russian defenses was finally broken on October 1 after the remaining Russian forces retreated from the city after suffering many casualties.
The retreat of the Russian forces from Lyman quickly spawned criticism among some of Mr. Putin military allies especially the leader of Chechnya, Mr. Kadyrov who attributed the losses in recent times to incompetence on the part of the Russian military leaders.
For Russia, the loss came less than 24 hours after Vladimir Putin’s speech on Friday in which he accused the United States of “Satanism” and the West as “the enemy,” “deceitful and hypocritical through and through.
The fury over the retreat from social medial supporters of Vladimir Putin added to the chorus of pro-war Russian bloggers criticizing the government’s military leadership. Some also speculate that maybe the Russian military is running out of arms.

It’s going to be Q4 in a bit and it is never out of place to assume a reflective position on how you have journeyed through the year.
Interestingly, there is - in addition to being reflective - the power of iteration.
While gratitude and grit (amongst other critical values) constitute an integral part of the right posture in achieving set goals and milestones, it is important to constantly mirror and evaluate your goals in alignment with your growth map. By implication, you can be grateful for accomplishing your goals while discovering it is no longer what you want anymore. The lesson here is that you permit yourself to change your mind.
You see, even if you have spent many years pursuing something, the moment you get there and discover it is not in alignment with where you are headed (and no, it doesn’t have to be bad), dare to walk away. Don’t think you've invested so much time and effort that you must move ahead. It's okay to cut your losses because speed in the wrong direction can never lead you to success.
Currently, we have 3 months to go in the year. It is best to iterate and tweak our activities, strategies, and targets for the remaining part of the year to things that genuinely appeal to our reason for existence, legacy, and impact.
Let’s learn that we do not have to be everywhere doing everything with/for everyone. And this is completely okay.

Forward-Thinking Leadership: What It Is...!
There is what is referred to as The Maya Angelou Effect and the quote below explains it:
“People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did. But people will never forget how you made them feel.”
Have you read, watched, and/or listened to Angelou's poems or interviews? You don't just hear her words.
You feel them.
So, how does The Maya Angelou Effect manifest itself in leadership?
Well, think of your all-time favorite manager, mentor, or teacher. Did you notice that their qualifications, results, and achievements lack real bearing on your relationship?
However, think about the time they took to give you a listening ear; recall the willingness to roll up their sleeves and work right beside you to achieve a milestone. What about the words of appreciation, praise, and multiple/random check-ins on general your well-being?
Every word of appreciation and moment spent for the other person all add up to strengthen your relationship with others, particularly the people you lead. They lead to an environment where people feel comfortable, valued, and respected. In turn, a culture that motivates each person to be the best version of themselves is created.
Leadership is inspiring and influencing actions. So, how do we engineer this in the people we lead?
The following questions - if answered sincerely - would give us a clue:
How do I make my people feel?
Am I available to listen? To learn about their unique challenges, problems, and successes?
Do I offer support for those challenges?
Do I celebrate their achievements, no matter how ‘insignificant’ it is to me?
Do I say enough thank you?
Do I make them feel comfortable, trusted, appreciated, and genuinely cared for? Can they count on me?
So, what feedback did you receive?
Remember, you do not have to get hung up on saying things in just the right way, or on speaking with articulateness. Never allow the idea of perfectionism to get in the way of making adjustments.
In the end, the goal isn’t being perfect, it’s continuous iterations-- a little here and a little there.
Because if there is one thing Maya Angelou taught us: It’s not the words they'll remember anyway. It’s the way you make them feel that counts.

BREAKING: FG reneges on its verdict to reopen Universities.
The Federal Government today, through the National Universities Commission (NUC), recalled its compelling circular ordering the resumption of academic activities by the management of Federal Universities.
The memo tagged ‘Withdrawal of Circular NUC/ES/138/Vol.64/136 dated September 23, 2022, was signed by Sam Onazi, the Director, Finance, and Account of the NUC.
Addressed to varsities’ MGT, the letter read, “I have been directed to withdraw the NUC Circular Ref: NUC/ES/138/Vol.64/135, and dated September 23, 2022, on the above subject. Consequently, the said circular stands withdrawn. All Pro-Chancellors and Chairmen of Governing Councils, as well as Vice-Chancellors of Federal Universities, are to please note. Further development and information would be communicated to all relevant stakeholders. Please accept the assurances of the Executive Secretary’s warmest regards.”

The Love Scam!
You meet a guy today. Less than a week after, things start to happen. Your gas has finished in the middle of cooking. Your house rent expires. Next day ,your mum is sick and needs help. Your phone is missing and needs replacing. All your burdens and sorrows were waiting for the new relationship and friendship.
Last week, one even told me that her mum is dead and as they arrived the village to bury her, they were told that they could not do that because they are yet to bury her grand mum. The two burials are on her head as her father is an old pensioner.
I looked through her profile again. Very beautiful lady. Outstandingly beautiful. I thought may be its just a fake account created for fraud but I followed her posts to 2011 and discovered she is a real person. Moralistic posts. Prophetic posts. Reasonable posts. With huge followership.
Then I checked and found that we have 91 mutual friends. One of those mutual friends is a secondary school classmate and friend who shares the same surname with her. I checked and found that she had tagged him in a photo last year. They were together in that picture. I reached out to him.
He told me that they are first cousins. That the girl's father is his dad's older brother of the Same parents. That her mother is alive, strong and healthy. That she is a serving senior civil servant. That their grand mother whom the girl said was also in the mortuary actually died 6years ago and was buried same month. The guy, my friend, was shell shocked. He sent me the family photos of the grandmother's burial six years ago with the girl in it.
I then reached back to this lady that I thought was my friend and told her that she is 'a wasted beauty and a disgrace to womanhood'.
Some men are also into this. From the stories told by women who have fallen victim,theirs usually start with a fake offer of marriage. They target single mothers and single women above 32. Next, he says he has a daughter who was abandoned by his ex wife. Next, the daughter has a hole in the heart. Next, his old mother is sick and needs help in the hospital.
This may sound like child's play but so many women actually start sending money. Hundreds of thousands. Some borrow to send. They want to show they are a 'wife material' to their 'prospective husband'. They want to prove to their future mother in law that they are worthy daughters in law.
The next step is that he travels to go and see her. On the way an accident must surely happen. He arrives broke. Lost his car, wallet and ATM card in the accident!
The woman pays for the hotel or takes him to her house. She feeds him and even pays his way back! I even heard of a situation where the woman gave her car to take back since he lost his car while coming to see her!
Love scam! It happens both ways and could be checked if people bother to take their head into a relationship.
It will reduce when people begin to see that a relationship is not a means out of poverty and hunger.
I think giving in a relationship should be a 50/50 thing. What do you think?

Today On Nigerian Economics: Dollar ($) Transactions Brought To A Halt
As a direct offshoot of the increasing dearth of foreign exchange in Nigeria, the usage of Mastercard, Naira Credit, Virtual, and VISA Prepaid Naira Cards has been blocked from completing international transactions by First Bank of Nigeria.
This was disclosed in an email sent by the bank to customers captioned, “Review of Cross-Border Limit on Naira Card.”
In addition, the email further revealed that foreign transactions can only be made with dollar cards capped at $10,000.
A portion of the email read, “Due to current market realities on foreign exchange, you will no longer be able to use the Naira Mastercard, Naira Credit Card, our Virtual card, and Visa Prepaid Naira card for international transactions. This will take effect on 30 September 2022. Please use your Visa Debit Multicurrency Card, Visa Prepaid (USD) Card , and Visa Gold Credit Card to continue transacting abroad with limits of up to $10,000.”
This news comes after First Bank of Nigeria has informed its customers that the Personal Travel Allowance (PTA) and Business Travel Allowance (BTA) will now be transferred to the FirstBank Travel Card.
The black market exchange rate between the naira and the US dollar has fallen from N565/$1 at the beginning of the year to N705/$1, marking an N140/$ loss year so far. According to Hanke’s Currency Watchlist, the Naira is the 11th worst-performing currency against the US dollar.
Although the CBN claims that the “Race to $200 billion in FX Repatriation” (RT200 FX) has resulted in significant improvements in Nigeria’s export remittances, some Nigerian companies have devised a clever way of ducking the CBN guidelines to vend forex in the official market but of course at black market rates.
The crippling effect on Nigeria’s economic woes is heightened by the exchange crisis as inflation rates continue to spike monthly. Unfortunately, despite CBN’s best efforts, the price of the dollar has not decreased rather it keeps increasing.

Separatists Set for Referendum on Joining Russian Federation
Moscow Backed Separatists in Eastern region of Ukraine (Donbas) and pro-kremlin leaders and administrator in Kherson region has come out to say that they would hold a referendum on becoming a part of Russia from September 23rd to September 27th.
The referendum would take place in the self proclaimed Luhansk and Donestk republics.
It should be noted that Vladimir putin recognized these regions as independent shortly before the beginning of their special military operation in late February this year.
Following the announcements by other regions, Russia held regioun of Zaporizhzhia also announced holding a referendum on some yet to be announced date.
How did Russia React?
Reacting to the annexation announcement Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov, reiterated the Russian position that these territories must decide their own fate.
Lavrov affirmed thus: “from the beginning of the special military operation, we've been saying that the people of the respective territories should decide their own fate. The whole current situation confirms that they want to be masster of their own Fate".
How does Ukraine View this?
Ukrainian foreign minister Dimitry Koleba dismisses the vote as sham and vows to eliminate threat posed by Moscow. He affirmed that Ukraine would keep retaking territories regardless of what Moscow or its proxies announce.
The Ukrainian governor of Luhansk also condemned the process and called it fake. He said: all they can do now is to hold referendums in a hurry, certainly fake ones with some made up results. They would do so in order to join occupied territories of Ukraine with the Russian Federation, so that they can do things later on. First, it is an attempt to establish the borders of these territories where the front line is. Second, it will give Russia a possibility to declare the de-occupation of Ukraine's temporary occupied regions as Ukraine's direct attack on Russia. Then, the war would be declared and they could conduct full mobilization.
What does this mean to Russia?
The integration of these territories into Russia would be a major escalation in this conflict; this is because Moscow could deploy its full military against Ukraine as an attack on these regions would be viewed as a direct attack on Russia.
Also, taking these territories would be strategic as it would cause supply chain disruptions for Ukraine and their western partners. Also, the territories also produce coal and are home to some factories e.g Zaporizhzhia is home to Europe’s largest nuclear power plant.
It should be noted that a similar referendum was done in Crimea before its annexation in 2014.
