It's no longer a news the incident of......,an act that threw the enclave of Mbano and beyond into confusion,
palpable fear and tension when yet to be unidentified gun men in Lexus Jeep and Sienna bus strucked and destroyed properties worth millions of naira, life's was not also left unhurt as some individuals lost their lives, the account has it that two members of the security outfit popularly know as Ebubeagu was short dead at Isiala Mbano headquarters and their vehicle set ablaze, from there they proceed to Hon. Magnus Ojiaka Hotel at Aba Branch shooting sporadically but fortunately for him he took to his heal and ran for his dear life after deducing danger, they took their message also to Hon. Chief John Eboh (Ochewuoche) in the same manner and raised his entire building, decorating materials,vehicles and household worth millions of naira to rubles and at the same time whisk him and the wife away, this their rampage continued unabated as they besieged Eze Akagu of Nsu, killing two of his security guards, burning vehicles and whisk him away along Hon.John Eboh and the wife whom they later dropped on the way and gave her a message on what is going be her fate and that of the husband after the following day, they also took the message to the police on stop and search duty along Anara- Okigwe Road and nutralize two officers while some ran into the Bush with various degrees of injuries as the account has it.
As the whereabouts of Chief John Eboh is still unknown and Eze Akagu released after two days of unimaginable trumer, one tend to figure out what happened or still happening behind the seen as to the case of "Oche" as he is fondly called, a source privy to the family who pleaded anonity stated that the the family is in quagmire hitherto, they are still at lost on the fate of their brother, those who carried the act, the reason and rational behind it, being optimistic ,they strongly believed their brother is philanthropist who aids people who found themselves in his fate and believed he will come back alive hence the measures you give is same you take as scripture has it, we pray so, as many are still keeping hopes of his returning alive, some still believed that something may have gone wrong somewhere in as much as it has taken too long, all the efforts geared towards reaching Eze who suffered the same fate proved abortive as he declined to question or avoid calls, his (Eze)attitude to this could not be unconnected to the trumer he pass through, the society at large without mincing words also refuses to entertain questions or to dig deep to the root cause of the matter for the fear of possible unknown or being the next victim.
Worst still, no individuals or groups have however claimed responsibility of the act and their reasons or rational behind it. It will be wise if the assailants or the pepertrators of this act will with any possible means make their intentions known to the public to avoid one crossing their red line hence the society particularly in the South East is in a state of anarchy where lives are no longer sacrosanct and could be lost from both sides.

It was a black Tuesday, the last day of the month of January 2023 at T. Junction Aba Branch Ehime Mbano LGA when the news of the death of two couples, Mr Cosmas Korie popularly know as Eze Elect and his wife Mrs Korie (retired teachers)who held from Etiti,Ihite Uboma LGA and was residing at Aba Branch for more than 20 years broke out, the new had it that the couples were publicly seen on Sunday 29th January, it was also gardered that his children residing in different parts of the world were calling their cell phone with no response but was ringing, this raised suspicion in their and they decided to link up a nearby possibly mean for an enquiry, on reaching their residence discovered their foothfear on the front of their door and his machine parked as well, them he peeped from the window and discovered that the door was bolted inside, at this point she don't need a seer to tell her that something has gone wrong somewhere, alarm was raised and people gathered, at this point, they allerted the landlord who though was living in the same yard with the tenants but unfortunately was not around as at the time of the incident instructed them to gain entrance to their room through any possible means which they did by breaking the door and discovered one lifeles body, Mr Korie on the floor of the parlour and the wife on the cushion half dead, she was quickly rushed to the nearby hospital for urgent treatment, but all the effort of the hospital to revive her proved effort in futility them she gave up the ghost and finally they were deposited to the morgue, may their souls and that of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God rest in peace, amen and amen, as there's no smoke without fire, our correspondence gathered that it was suspected that they died of generator fume or smoke after discovering that the ignition of the jennerator in their veranda was on and maybe it went off after exhausting the PMS, a source privy to what was happening there also
disclosed that there had been similar cases in the same yard which amounts to something else. No investigation has been conducted for now either by police or sister agencies as at the time of filing this report. We will keep you updated as the matter keep unfolding. Kingsley Smart, is a house hold name in Ehime Mbano and beyond.The young Man, hails from Umuezeala Owerre Autonomous Community Ehime Mbano LGA.
He is a progressive youth,a developer,a footballer, and a philanthropist. His love for soccer is seen in his annual football competitions,for Umuezeala Owerre Youths.

He has monumentally assumed a status in Umuezeala Owerre and beyond,as far as soccer is concerned. His annual unity cup competition in Umuezeala Owerre Autonomous Community,had become a regular phenomenon. Indeed,this gesture has gone a long way in uniting,and integrating the entire youths of Umuezeala Owerre.

It has also,turned Umuezeala Owerre Autonomous Community to a home of soccer, where people from far and near,usually assemble to watch some facinating football matches.

We commend Kingsley Smart for this regular show of love,unity and unending passion for soccer,as another means of alleviating the strokes of burden and pains from the people, especially now that people are going through excruciating hardship.

We plead others to mimick this gesture of donating steady trophies for their locals, especially during these periods of festivity. It is another means of giving medical outreach outside the hospitals.

Burial Update Re:Late,Chief, Prof.CN Uwazrike.

It is with Thanksgiving for life well accomplished that, the Entire Uwazurike family of Umualum Umunakanu Owerre, Ehime Mbano LGA, Imo State, announces the passing unto greater Glory of our Husband, Father, brother, Uncle, and grand father, *Chief Professor Cletus Ngozi Uwazurike KSM.

He was the Former Provost, Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education Owerri, Former Dean, Faculty of Education Imo State University Owerri, Member, 2005 Constitutional Conference of Nigeria, a community Leader and motivator, who joined the saints on 25th of October 2022. His burial is fixed for 23rd December 2022. Requiem Mass will be at St Theresa's Catholic Church, Umunakanu Owerre.

..Declares Unreserved Support for Him

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, The Apex Youth Body in Ehime Mbano LGA of Imo State today, endorsed Hon.Prince Kelechi Iwueze the Candidate of All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA for Ehime Mbano Constituency assuring him of their unreserved support.

According to Amb Gabriel Chidera Onyema , Chairman, The National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ehime Mbano Chapter: "We the youths of Ehime Mbano LGA, drawn from the autonomous communities have concluded to publicly declare our support for Hon. Prince Kelechi Iwueze. The youths in their different villages took this decision and would be sending their representatives who gathered here today to officially endorse him for Imo House Of Assembly. BREAKING: Nnamdi Kanu: Appeal Court Faults AGF, Stands Down Case

The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has faulted the Attorney-General of the Federation’s legal representative for asking the court to adjourn its application for stay of ex*****on against the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

Recall that the Court of Appeal on October 13, discharged Kanu of the terrorism charges filed against him by the Federal Government, citing ‘lawlessness’ of the executive arm of government.

But the AGF’s counsel, D. Kaswe, had on October 19 filed a stay of ex*****on against the appellate court judgement.

When the matter was called at the Court of Appeal, Kaswe said his application should be adjourned to respond to a counter application filed by Kanu’s lawyer, Mike Ozekhome.

“However, the respondent served us with a counter suit to our application on Friday and we are further served with authority from the respondent.

“In view of this service on us, the application may not be ripe for hearing as we will be needing time to respond,” he said.

But Ozekhome raised an objection, saying the citation of legal authorities does not require a lawyer who knows the books to ask for an adjournment.

“My lord, I am surprised at the AGF, at 5:03 pm on Wednesday (19 October) they served us, and on Friday, we served them. We have not filed any new applications, this case is ripe for hearing,” Ozekhome countered.

Ozekhome argued that Kanu is terminally ill but that the AGF wants to allegedly stop the liberty of his client through long adjournment

“They don’t want to release him. They want to benefit from their wrongs,” Ozekhome argued.

On his part, Justice Haruna S. who led a three-man panel of the appellate court, Justice Haruna. S., held that the AGF lawyer should not be talking of long adjournment when the issue also touches on the fundamental right of Kanu.

The panel said as a lawyer, legal practitioners should think and reason out their case before appearing in court.

“It is not something that will require a very long adjournment,” the judge said, shifting the case to 12 pm today.

But then, Kaswe said he needed ample time to return to the office, read the authorities and file a respond but the Judge countered him, saying, “That’s the decision of the court if you want to file, fine.”

Senate South East Caucus Appeal for Nnamdi Kanu's Release!
...Urge FG Not to Appeal Appellate Court Ruling

The South East Caucus in the Senate on Thursday urged the Federal Government to obey the Appeal Court ruling, which ordered the immediate release of leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

The Caucus in a statement released in Abuja also advised FG against appealing the ruling at the Supreme Court, but rather asked the Presidency to utilise the opportunity presented by the Appeal Court ruling and consider political solution to solve the lingering problem in the interest of the country's unity and peaceful coexistence of Nigerians.

The Caucus cautioned that resorting to the Supreme Court would ignite varied interpretations, which to all intents is injurious to the unity and corporate existence of the country.

"We should be mindful of our diversity and the strengths we as a country derive there from. This is the time to show magnanimity and statesmanship. The Appeal Court has provided the leeway for the authorities to walk the talk as ones desirous of preserving Nigerias unity and respect for her diversity.

"Not appealing the matter and resorting to political solution will in no way question the enormous powers of the federal government, rather it would enhance its prestige as a government in love with all segments of the Nigerian society.

"Accordingly, we as a Caucus and stakeholders in the Nigeria project appeal to Mr President, to remember the promise he made to a delegation of elders of Igboland sometime ago and release Nnamdi Kanu, especially now that the Appeal Court by that ruling removed the burden of interference from him. Going on Appeal would ultimately negate that kind gesture ", the Caucus said.
