Snail Seller Meets Her Longtime Customer Who Is now Ondo State Governor

Today, the prayers of a popular snail seller, Iya Dare Onigbin at Owena, Igbaraoke in Ifedore local government area, Ondo State was answered after meeting one of her customers who is now a Governor.

When early today it was drizzling in parts of Igbaraoke, little did Mrs Funmilayo Osunla, know that the rain was a positive omen at meeting one of her long time customers who is now the Governor in Ondo State.

According to reports, the snail seller had thought any effort put into retaining Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, as customer might not materialise for obvious reasons.

But, like a loyal customer, Governor Akeredolu, turned up at Iya Dare’s stall after a long break. And so it was a miracle of her life to have the Governor’s convoy pull up to patronise her again!!!

Kidnappers who disguised as Joint Security Taskforce Extorts and Murder Leo Michael Ishaya

On the 3rd of April 2020, Mr Micheal Ishaya (aka Leo) who is a native of Bogoro LGA in Bauchi State but resident in Owerri was allegedly arrested by some men who claimed to be joint taskforce (military and Sars) at about 17:30 hours around the Orji flyover in Owerri shortly after he dropped his friend at Rochas College of Africa roundabout.

He joined them thinking they were genuine and was taking him to their custody based on the curfew in the state 6pm-6am not knowing that they were kidnappers.

The news of his disappearance got to his friends after another guy that the same said Army officers picked up and released after they demanded a transfer of 50,000 naira which he paid called some friend he felt knew Leo.

On Monday morning, some of his friends went to the Imo state police headquarters to make their complaints and the command sent out a radio signal to every division in the state, after 24 hours of no positive response, the case was officially reported to the SARS department of the state command who took up action immediately and started with investigation and tracking of the culprits

Some of the suspects were arrested and they confessed to the crime stating that the boy has been murdered and co**se dumped at Oba in Anambra State.
Just yesterday the police informed the family who joined the police to the crime scene and the body recovered and deposited at FMC Mortuary Owerri.

They alleged security gang killed Leo somewhere in Anambra and ran to Makurdi in Benue state with his properties ranging from his ES350 car, IPhone, clothes, apple wristwatch and emptied his account of all the money had therein.

Using the account number provided from the guy who was earlier picked by the fully clothed military men which he used in making the N50,000 transfer to them, the SARS operatives were able to establish the identity of one of the kidnappers

His Royal Majesty Dr. Abdul Rahman Ado Ibrahim is the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland (King of Ebiral land), he was born on on 7th February, 1929. Dr Ado Ibrahim schooled at a nursery and Quranic School and thereafter finished his primary education at NA School in Okene, Kogi State, in 1940.

He further attended Ondo Boys high School and Oduduwa College, where he completed his secondary education in 1949.

Dr Ado Ibrahim obtained a B.Sc in Economics from London School of Economics in 1950s before he also attained his MBA from Harvard business School in 1959.

has been the ruler of Ebiraland since 2nd of June, 1979 and he rules Ebiraland from his marvelous, magnificent and world class palace, "AZAD Palace" named after his son. The "Azad palace" is considered as one of the most beautiful palaces in Nigeria in fact, West Africa as a whole.

COVID-19: Nigeria Imports Herbal Madagascar's Drugs For Testing

The Republic of Madagascar has offered its herbal drug – COVID Organics (COV) – to Nigeria and other African countries.

The drug is for prevention and cure of Coronavirus.

Nigeria’s consignment has been sent to Equatorial Guinea from where it will be airlifted to Abuja.

For ease of transportation, African countries were divided into zones leading to the freighting of Nigeria’s consignments to Equatorial Guinea.

Nigeria’s COVID-19 positive tally moved to 4,399 last night with 248 new cases announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

Lagos recorded 81 cases, followed by Jigawa State 35 and Borno 26 cases to top the chart. Kano recorded 26 cases, followed by Bauchi with 20 cases.

There is pressure on the Federal Government by different medical and scientific organizations to allow the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRD) and the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) to subject the drug to further analysis.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) last week insisted that the efficacy of the drug was unproven.

N20 Billion Missing LG fund: Ex-Imo Gov, Ihedioha Prays Court to Stop State Assembly’s Investigation.

Former Imo State Governor, Emeka Ihedioha has approached the State High Court, Owerri, seeking an order to stop the State House of Assembly from investigating him over the alleged missing N19.63 billions.

The fund was alleged to have fraudulently disappeared from the Local Governments (LG) Accounts between May and December 31st 2019.

The former governor is praying the court to grant an order of perpetual injunction restraining the house of Assembly from inviting him for an investigation into the alleged missing LG funds.

Respondents in the suit, instituted on May 5, are the speaker and the clerk of the State House of Assembly.

The suit is also asking for an order of the court to set aside any summon or invitation to Ihedioha by the State House of Assembly or its agents to appear before it for an investigation on the said LG funds.

The fund was declared missing after the release of an interim audit report by the state Auditor General for Local government and Chieftaincy affairs detailing how N19.63B fraudulently disappeared from the Local governments Accounts between May and December 31st 2019.

The Rivers state police command has paraded five suspected killers of three University students in the state.

Recall that on May 1, it was shared online on how the Anti-cultism unit of Rivers State police command, arrested members of a kidnapping gang who abducted and killed three students -
Nelson Nwafor and Fortune Obemba, both students of the Rivers State University, RSU; and Joy Adoki, a student of Management Science in the University of Port Harcourt, UNIPORT.

The undergraduates were kidnapped on April 7 2020. After an extensive investigation, the
suspects were arrested and one of them led security operatives to the shallow grave where the three students were buried.

Briefing journalists at the police headquaters in Port Harcourt, Commissioner of police, Joseph Gobum Mukan said the three victims were kidnapped at Choba.

Mukan said one AK-47, three magazines and 72 rounds of live ammunition were recovered from the kidnappers.

Leader of the gang, Bright Iheachi, who led police to the arrest of other gang members, said he ordered the killing because one of the victims ran away with his N4 million.

He said the initial target was Nelson Nwafor who he claims betrayed him and fled to Ghana with his N4 million share of an undisclosed deal they struck last year.

He said he organized for Nelson to be kidnapped. However, on the day of the abduction, Nelson was with Fortune and Joy who were then abducted along with him.

“I was the person that ordered my colleagues to kill the three of them, but it was Nelson that I had wanted them to kill, but I later changed my mind and decided that the three of them be killed” he said. Mr Bright Obemba, the distraught father of late Fortune, said the boy was his only son. He said no amount of money given to him would bring back his son.
