Chapter 19

Ciara’s POV

Jaxon had mentioned that whenever he felt hurt or lonely he went to his music studio…

I walked to his music studio and there he was raking his f!ngersthrou-gh his hair as he walked around the room like an enraged tiger.

“Jaxon, why did you not do what we had agreed on???” I questioned walking towards him but the deadly glare he s£nt me st©pped me in my tracks..

“Are you being serious right now???? You are engaged to my brother…”

“It’s not what you think Jaxon…” I took uncertain steps towards him, “It’s you I love…”

“You love me?? you were using me to get to my brother…” His shoulder was heaved with emotions..

“Trust me Jaxon I love you…” I tried taking his hands but he pu-ll-ed back like he was allergic to me…

“I don’t want to see you again…” He turned his back at me..

The sorrow inside of me was like a knife in my rib… It was hurting to see him look at me with eyes holding total anger
I wanted to explain everything to him and maybe he would un-derstand and help me out this misery.

“I can explain everything you want to know. I had no choice but to do as he wanted…” Tears begun dripping from my eyes…

“All I want is you to look at me…” I twisted him around and noticed he was also crying..
“I thought we would have a thing together but you broke me. You and Tabby are the same. Heartless cold manipulative b-tches…”

I cu-mpped his face, “I love you so much and am nothing like Tabby..”

“Nothing like her???” He snapped and held me by the arms, “You betrayed me. You used me. All along you and my brother were d@t!ngand here you were ma-king me believe that you loved me” He shook me so ha-rd that I begun feeling dizzy…

“Trust me I didn’t know about the proposal. I thought you would be the one on that stage on one knee…”

“How was I supposed to know what he had planned???” He pushed me back that I almost fell on my bu-tt…

“I don’t want to see you…Don’t ever look for me or anything. After the albu-m launch we are done…” There was rawness of pain in his voice…

“But….”
“Don’t…” His eyes were narrowed, rigid and cold..

You know who was unlucky??? This girl. The guy who I loved sli-pped throu-gh my f!ngersbecause I was busy thinking about the welfare of my family. I wish I was a little selfish. Dad disowned me, why did I have to care about him???

He was okay by himself. He was the man of the family, it’s his duty to protect his family…

“Where is the love that you felt for me some hours ago???” I know it was a silly question, I blew up but I nee-ded to know.

I wra-pped my arms around his che-st from behind and sobbe-d unceasingly on his back. He didn’t push me away but held my hands so ti-ght.
“Why did you do it???”

“I love you Jaxon. I love you so much. I did this because your brother….”
“What in the world is going on here???”Jordan yelled in the middle of my confession…

I walked away from Jaxon’s back, blood drained from my face. I smelt trouble…. Jaxon turned around to look at his now angry brother and smiled, “WhatsApp Jordan???”

“Jaxon what are you doing with my future wife??? Hold on, are you two an item??? Did I hear her tell you she loves you???”

“Just tell her to leave me alone…” He wiped his tears away and walked out on us.

“Jaxon wait????” I tried going after him but Jordan blocked my way..

“Where do you think you are going Missy???” He held me by the arm..
“I am going after the man I love so much…”

“Do you hear yourself??? That’s my brother you are talking about. He doesn’t want you.” He barked..
“Yes, I love him and he loves me…”
“Are you crazy??”
“Yes in love…Jaxon!!! Jaxon!!!” I started shouting but lucky him the room was sound proof…

I tried shaking my arm off his grip but all in vain.
“Listen you manipulative greedy fool, I won’t let you use my brother to get back at me..You are going to st©p acting like a teenager in love and go back to the p@rty acting like an engaged happy girl…”

“What if I don’t????”

He slowly let goes of my arm and takes a step back…

“I will ruin you and your family. I will take that land, burn everything in it and build a grand h0tel…” He sounded as arrogant as he could be..

“Don’t you get bored with the same threats??? I don’t care about anything…”
“Begin to care young girl,” He placed his hand on my n£¢k, “If you do anything that will embarras-s me, I will kill you. You won’t ruin my plans…” He started strangling me…

“I can’t breathe Jordan…” I struggled to talk but it didn’t matter to him..
“I want you to go back there and act all happy.
Do you get me???” He ordered and I shook my head…

I had never seen him so mad and terrifying…It felt like the devil himself..
How was I going to survive with a monster for two years???

He freed me from his grip and I knelt g@sping for air.

“You are a monster Jordan, you want me to marry you but keep this in mind I will make your life a living hell that you will regret ever taking me with you down this road..” I threatened ru-bbing my n£¢k…

“Now listen to me,” He lifted my chin up, “We are getting married tomorrow first thing in the morning. I won’t take my chances with you…Stand up we have paparazzis and guests to plea-se…”

“Even if you marry me right now and then, my heart will always belong to Jaxon Marcias…” We were now nose to nose..
“I don’t care whether you love Donald Trump himself, you are going to be my wife…”

“Can you hear yourself??? I am in love with your brother…”I emphasized since it seemed he didn’t un-derstand what I meant.
“Stand up from the floor and let’s get back to the p@rty…” He lifted me by the arm…

“I hate you…”
“My love, am glad we are on the same page…”

Jordan was driving me crazy and I didn’t know what to do. For Christ sake I was in love with his brother but he didn’t care. He didn’t seem bothered. Who is not bothered seeing his wife to be in love with his brother??? This guy is weird..

I took a de-ep breath, practiced my smile and intertwined our hands. When we got back at the p@rty the paparazzis and celebrity reporters ran towards us..
“Ciara, how are you feeling about this???”
“Jordan do you think she is the one???”
“Where did you two meet???”

“Calm down fellows…Yes i know she is the one since I feel in love with her from the moment I saw her…She is a very amazing woman and I wish to spend the rest of my life with her….” How could he lie without glitching????

“Ciara, were you two d@t!ngwhen you were still with David???”
“Is he the reason you are working with Jaxon Marcias???
“When is the wedding???”

I stood there silently unable to fake the I am a happy engaged girl until he squee-zed my hand so ti-ght..
“No, David and I have been separated for a while..I worked with Jaxon because my work speaks for itself..and we are never getting married..”

If looks could kill then I would have been died by now from Jordan’s glare..
“I was kidding,” I faked a laugh and everyone sighed with relief, “We will be getting married in two weeks…”

“Will you leave him at the aisle too???” I saw Jordan gritting his teeth and knew I had to give a wise response…
“Of course not. I love him and I would be so happy to walk down the aisle with him…” If only I could stand him up…

After that people begun congratulating us on our engagement…
“Welcome to the family, sister in-law…” Sophie hvgged me…Oooh yeah, I now had to see her everyday of my miserable two years…
“Ciara is going be my sister in law…” Mason was all syked up whereas his twin was there trying to act how happy he was for us but his red eyes betrayed him..
“I am happy for you guys but I nee-d to go…”

“Are you not performing????” Sophie asked…
“I have a so-re throat, I will just go to my room…”
“Do you nee-d some medicine???” I could help but blurt out. Yes I cared for him..
“No, I will be fine…”

“Girlfriend or should I call you Mrs Marcias???” Kendi said all excited you would have thought she was the one who got engaged.
“Ciara will do…”
“We are happy for you, can we take a picture of your ring???It looks expensive..”
Lilian stated as her and Vicky jumped up and down excitedly looking at it.

They took pics of my ring and some selfies with me to post on the Instagram…Everything was happening at a supersonic speed. I looked everywhere for Sebastian or Brian but there was no sight of him…

“Well, I can say you pla-yed this game pretty well???” Chloe whispered behind me.. Just what I nee-ded to vent my anger into..
“Sister in-law???” I turned around acting all girly and hvgged her,” I am happy to see you…”

“You k!ssone brother and marry the other. I nee-d some lessons girl…”
“Just keep this in mind, I am getting married to the eldest Marcias son and so I will always have more power than you..Watch your back love…” I pe-cked her cheek walked to were Jordan was standing with some friends…

“Love I am so tired,can you drive me home???”I placed my hand around his arm..

“Whohhhuu!!!!She is alre-ady missing you…” One of his friends tea-sed him.
“We are just crazy in love…” He tried k!ss!ngme but I pu-ll-ed back.
“Baby we can’t parade our be-droom matters.”
He wasn’t gonna show off to his friends with some fake love bullsh-t…
“Okay love, let’s get you home…”

We acted all loving and sweet but the moment we got in the car he was all cold and angry again.
“Get enough sleep, tomorrow we are getting married???”
“But I thought it was in two weeks time???”
“I make the rules…And I say what will be done and when…”

I was a prisoner in my own house..When Jordan told me that the next day I would be un-der lock and key, I thought he was bluffing until he acted his threat…

There were three armed strong men in my house who made sure I didn’t get out of my room. Jane and I had no access to our phones until Mr arrogance stated otherwise…

He had this silly idea that I would run away or say something stupid to the press…

I just did one silly mistake and one of them ran inside my room in a lightning speed and stood right there infront of my be-d…

What harm was it in screaming???I hated the torture Jordan was putting me un-der..

“Are you gonna just stand there in a girl’s room???” I thought I would pl@ywith his conscience but nope, he didn’t even move..

I sat on my be-d, tapping my feet irritatingly on the floor but it didn’t get to him…

I stood up and he stood in my way…

“Do you want to see my un-derp@n-ts???”I yelled threatening to drop my pyjamas to my knees..
“Don’t do that Mrs Marcias
These are just orders from the boss…”
“So you wanna take me to the bathroom????”

He shook his head and moved aside….

I stood infront of the bathroom mirror thinking of ideas to escape from there but none of them made s-en-se…

Jump throu-gh the window, I can’t fit.
Hang myself, I am not that stupid..

Swallow some slee-ping pills…No, I am not that desperate..

Pretend am unconcious…Jordan would marry me even if I am dead and the thought of getting married unconcious scared me…

One minute later,

“Mrs Marcias, are you okay????” He started knocking the door so ha-rd .
“If you don’t open the door, I will break it down…”

“I am coming in Mrs Marcias…” He can’t do anything, he is trying to scare me..

So I thought until he broke the door and c@m£ in like nothing had happened..

“Was that necessary???” He found me seated on the toilet seat..
“I thought you were planning to escape…”
“Do I look like a terrorist to you???”
“No…”

“For your punishment, I won’t get re-ady or even have a bath. Let’s see what your boss will say about that..”

I stood firm on my word and refused to either shower or get dressed…
Jordan had said we were going to get married at 1 pm and it was now 4 o’clock in the evening…

Did he decide to let me go???plea-se,who am I kidding???

I was exhausted from waiting for my husband to be to come that I dozed off…

“Wake up???” Jordan tapped me harshly on my shoulder…
“So we are getting married???I thought you ran away…” I tea-sed him but he looked as cold as everyday…

“Why are you not re-ady???”
“I don’t want to and you can’t f0rç£ me…” I shrugged…
“Then I will marry you in your pyjamas…” He took my hand and drag me from my be-droom…

There was Jane also been dragged from her room too.

“Are we animals???” I shouted at Jordan.
“Shut up!!!!”

“Ciara, this man is crazy. After getting married plea-se admit him in the asylum…”

Jane thought she had whispered but the arrogant psychopath heard it all…

“If you don’t shut up, I will cut your ton-gue out…”

And she was scared…

“We can’t get married, we don’t have a marriage licence…” I boasted doing a happy dance only to be sl@pped with a paper on my face.

“What’s that????”

Holy donkey on a bicycle, we had a marriage licence.

“But how did you???” I stammered.
“I knew you would try to act smart and so I had a plan B…”He gr@bb£d the licence from my hand..

“But where did you get my identification card???You are a fraud…”
“Me, a thief but you gave it to my mother a week ago together with your pas-sport ph0tos…” He smiled looking all victorious while I rolled my eyes away..

How did I not think of this, I thought my identification card and pas-sport ph0tos were to be used for a good cause…

Just as we were arguing, Sebastian walked in…

“You guys are not even re-ady???The registrar is here…” He retorted.
“We are re-ady, the bride will be in her pyjamas…” Jordan replied dryly…

“Men, let the girl atleast look good at her wedding???” Sebastian stated but I gave him a blank look..I wasn’t gonna act happy in a wedding I didn’t even want to be in…

Wear a go-wn for who???If he doesn’t want to marry me, he can as well turn around and go back to the hell hole he c@m£ from. It would be very good of him..

“I am good Seb…” I thun-dered.
“But???”
“It’s my wedding…”
“Which you don’t want to be in…”
Does Jane want her ton-gue cut out???

“Come here…” Sebastian embossed me into a hvg,”I am sorry I couldn’t save you from this..”
“Atleast you tried…”

“Enough with the family reunion, it’s time to make this thing official….”Jordan ordered…

The Registrar sat on the other side of the table infront of the couple to be. Jane and Sebastian standing beside us as witnesses…

The wedding was typically quic-k. There were no vows… Jordan just placed a ring on my f!nger, I did the same…We signed the certificates, the witnesses signed where their signatures nee-ded to be and we were married….

As simple as that…The bride in her pyjamas and the groom looking all tired…

“Pack all your clothes, we are leaving in fifteen minutes…”He didn’t even looked a little bit happy..
“Can I stay just for tonight???”
“No, pack your bags and I won’t say it again…”

Something unre-adable in his mind told me he was serious and so I stood up and went ahead into my room..

“Bestie, I am scared for you…This man is an animal…”
“Jenny, I will be fine. I just have to tolerate him for two years…”
“But….”
“Ssshhh!!!!I will be okay…” I hvgged her, tears burning my eyes.

I wasn’t going to be fine but I nee-ded to act strong…

After two hours I was done packing and it was time to start my new miserable life in the Marcias mansion. Learn how to tolerate Chloe,act like I love Sophie,act cool infront of Jaxon…Damn, it was hell of work…

When we got into the mansion, everyone was surprised to see me and my bags in the living room..
“Dear what happened???” My mother in-law asked looking all worried…
“Mum, your new daughter in-law…”
Jaxon on hearing those words, he dropped the cu-p of coffee he was holding….

“Jaxon are you okay????” I asked running to him.
“I will be in my room….” He ran upstairs. I tried calling him but he ignored.
“Baby, he is fine…The maid will clean this up..”Jordan c@m£ and stood beside me..

“How did this happen??You two only got engaged like yesterday…”Mason couldn’t believe it and so Jordan showed them our marriage certificate…

“But why so fast????” My mother in-law was still in shock…
“Because I love her and we cant stay ap@rt from each other…” He took my hand and k!$$£d it,”Love let’s go to our room, you nee-d to rest…”

“Where is her wedding dress???Your honeymoon???Why is she in her pyjamas??” For Christ sake Mama can you st©p with the questions.
It’s ha-rd for me to put up with the lies…

“Mom that’s between my wife and I. We will go to our room now…” He literally pu-ll-ed me out of there and for once I was grateful..The questions were driving me crazy…

We got into our room and he threw me on the be-d…
“Not a word to anyone. Never answer any question Do you un-derstand???”

“Where do I put my things???”

“In my closet, there is two empty shelves.You will try fit your clothes there..”

“Are you kidding me, how are they supposed to fit in there???”
“Thats your problem…”

He begun un-bu-ttoning his shi-t infront of me.
“What are you doing???”
“We are married and just because you are here I won’t change my habits. I sleep n-ked and re-move my clothes here where I am standing.”

I turned around until I was sure he got into the bathroom…

Dear God, give me strength or I will kill this man in his sleep…

I was so lost in my own world until Jordan c@m£ to dry his hair beside me ma-king me we-t…

“Jordan???”
“I dry my hair at this sp©t…”

His hair looked messy in a good way…Wow, this guy was really handsome but not my type..I always heard stories of how Latina men were very handsome and him being a mixed race he had the b©dy and the looks. Not forgetting his siblings, his family was made up of beautiful people….

“What are you staring at????”
“Just wondering how one can be so ugly…”
“Wrong move crazy mud girl, I am handsome and I know it. And Don’t say it’s because my mother told me….”

“Whatever….”
“Before I forget, you will be slee-ping at the couch. I will share my be-d with you….” He threw his towel on my face…

“What the??”
“I throw my towel at that sp©t…”

Angrily I took the towel and begun stepping on it but he just stood there wondering what I was doing…
“You are a very bitter woman…”
“And I am not slee-ping on the couch. I am slee-ping on this be-d and if you…..” He walked out on me as I was talking…Did he just walk out on me????He is so rude…

I sat on the be-d thinking of how everything happened so fast…I was a married woman but didn’t have the wedding of my dreams…

I got married in my pyjamas, in my living room and here I am in my husband’s room..The man I detested so much, truly fate had a way to make my life a nightmare.

“Mrs Marcias can I come in???” It was Carol..
“Yes Carol..”
“Here is your food. The boss said you are very tired you won’t come down for dinner…”
“Place it there and thank you…”

She nodded, placed the food beside the be-d and walked out of the room..So he cared about me, that’s weird. What is he planning????

Did I have some appetite, No…Although the plate of spaghetti and meatba-lls looked tasty, I didn’t even have a bite.

Episode 18

Ciara’s POV

Jane changed her mind at the last minute about going to Sophie’s p@rty and so I drove there with Kendi Joy.

She had worn a gold sequin beaded caftan go-wn with one shoulder. She really never disappoints. Her hair was held in bun matching her elegant dress with a black purse and stilettos.

The theme of the p@rty was to come dressed like your favourite person in red, black and gold.

I was restless about tonight and as it is said if you are unsure of what to wear go with red.

Mine was basically a two piece sleeveless floor length dress with a lace t©p.. It looked more of a satin prom dress with the exquisitely crafted appliques shimmering across the upper bodice
The demure jewel n£¢kline and the illusion back radiated red h0t s-en-suality.

The floor- length hemline just grazed the ground beneath and the sleeveless bodice ba-red a bit of skin enticingly.. My straight hair black short Bob wig did a good job in covering my horrible hair.

“Have you ever thought of being a celebrity stylist????” Kendi asked pu-lling over in the parking lot.
I chuckled, “Why???”
“You have a great s-en-se of fashion. We should really work together in the future…”

If not that I was restless I would have been plea-sed with the news..

“I would love to…” I smiled
When I was about to get out of the car, she held my hand.

“Are you okay??? You have been silent all the way here…”
“I am okay Kendi, just exhausted…”

There was a grand red carpet entrance and some people who were videotaping and taking ph0tos of the guests as they got into the Marcias ball room.. Celebrities were busy being interviewed and talking to each other…

People always wanted to see beyond the Marcias gate. Since Sophie was hosting the p@rty in their ballroom, the people’s wish was about to come true…

There was a backdrop for a ph0to area where we took some ph0tos with Kendi before reporters surrounded us.

“Are you two working together???”
“Are you two friends??? you drove here together…”
“Ciara, did you design your dress???”
“Kendi who are you wearing???”
These reporters they can’t even give you time to answer…

“We will be working together in the future and yes we are friends…” Kendi beamed…
“Yes I designed my dress…” I replied.

“How is it working with the Marcias???”
“It’s a good experience…”

Before they could ask more questions we walked inside the ballroom…Sophie had really spiced up the guest list. There were fashionistas, actors, bloggers, musicians name them all…

The turn up of guests was excellent. I guess sli-pping a ju-icy pre-p@rty nugget to her well-follower blogger friends was not such a bad idea…

Kendi introduced me to her fashionistas friends but my eyes were stuck on the crowd looking for Jaxon and Jordan. The only person I saw was Mason laughing with some models…

After the introduction, I went to talk to some t©p designers in the country that I have worked with.. Indeed Sophie didn’t disappoint.

There were different table layouts in the room, Round, square and rectangular.
They were covered with a gold centerpiece where a tall candles paired with low floral were placed. If that wasn’t enough the glas-s vases and bras-s flatware added complexity and warmth to the table… Also the plates and silverware were aligned to perfection..

In each table there were different kind of lollies as-sembled in different containers and exotic items which the guests started to munch away as soon as they sat…There was also enough champagne flutes, wine and water for everyone to enjoy…

She also went overboard with hundred of helium filled balloons and hanging lanterns giving the room the perfect lighting. At the end of the room, there was a table where food had been placed. In the middle she had improvised a dancing floor and where the artists would perform… There was also a soothing jazz music in the background that added flavour to everything

“You really look beautiful. Where can I get a dress like this???” Anita the most influential fashion blogger in the country asked.

Yes, I have seen her in so many events but we never talked…

“I would make you one..” I stammered.
“You really look beautiful.Right guys???” She confirmed from two of her best friends whom they were always together… Vicky and Lilian..

“Yes, she should join the our club,”Lilian suggested and Kendi answered behind me,”Yeah, I was thinking the same thing…”

I wanted to be happy but I couldn’t until I was sure everything went right tonight. The club they were talking about was formed by them with the purpose to help each other grow in the world of fashion. And the fact that I qualified to join the club felt like a lifetime achievement.. Do you know like how many fashionistas would like to join them???A lot but they are the ones who approach you and not the other way round..

“I will be back ladies..” I excused myself the moment I saw Mason at a close distance..

“Mason???” I called out.
“Yes Ciara???” He hvgged me…, “How are you???You look beautiful..”

“Have you seen Jaxon or Jordan???”
“Jaxon is the guest artist in keeping up with your artist so he will be running late and Jordan I don’t know where he is…”

I begun having a bad feeling about the night. Everything seemed out of place… I tried calling Jaxon but he wasn’t picking up… Dear heavens, don’t let me fall flat on my face…

I sat beside the club ladies as we waited for the host to officially start off the p@rty..

We talked about the latest trends, all I nee-ded to join the club, their achievements until Sophie stood on stage.

She looked very beautiful. Light makeup, hair held in a shaggy bun, a metallic chainmail dress with short sleeves, a de-ep v-n£¢kline and a panel with gathering details contrasting the w@!st that looked good on her..Truly she was the host of the p@rty.

“Did you design that???” Lilian asked and I nodded with utmost confidence.
“I love it….”

“Hello my people, thank you everyone who accepted my invitation to the best welcome back p@rty ever. As you all know I have been out of the country for a while and I wanted to come back with the ban-g the Sophie way…”

The room was filled with screams and laughter..

“I know I look sas-sy. So before you start asking who I am wearing??? Ciara kindly stand up…”

Trembling, I stood and waved at the crowd..
“She is behind my look, I call her my designer, my icon.Thank you Ciara…”
I smiled and sat down…

“With that said. I officially welcome you to Sophie’s welcome back p@rty…”

There was performances from different bands and numerous artists… .
People had alre-ady served their food, some a little ti-psy but no sight of my man… I was starting to get worried…

Suddenly my phone pinged with a message…It was from him, finally he remembered he had a girlfriend.

>>My baby looks beautiful tonight..

>>Where have you been???

>>Relax baby, I am performing soon and then the whole world will know about us…

>>Can’t wait.
See you on stage my love…

Atleast now my heart was at peace and I could bring myself to smile…

When Jaxon got on stage looking all h0t, the girls begun screaming.. He had worn the black suit I had made him.. I couldn’t wait to officially be his woman and ru-b it on Jordan’s face…

“Hey ladies, are you re-ady???”
“Yes!!!!!”
“We love you!!!”
“Marry me!!!”
Girls were indeed crazy….I wanted to stand on the table and declare my love for him and see what those girls would have done about it..

Before I perform, my brother Jordan has an announcement…My blood ran cold
My heart felt like it would explode from beating..My bowels loos£ned.

People waited for Jordan to get to the stage but no, he c@m£ to where I was sitting and took my hand…

“What are you doing???” I whispered to him but he just chose to ignore me…

The air around me bec@m£ suffocating and my vision blur…I wished the floor would open and swallow me alive but I was just being silly…For a second I was reluctant to standing up but I didn’t want to embarras-s myself…

He walked me to the stage and went on one knee. I have never been scared like i was on that stage that I was literally shaking like a leaf…

Now I un-derstood why he was nowhere to be found. He was planning on how to bring me down and he had succeeded. He knew I wouldn’t embarras-s myself infront of all these people..

Perfect timing Jordan, I know un-derstand why you are the most successful CEO…Strategy..

“Ciara Kimani would you be my wife???”
My heart bec@m£ shattered disarray of pieces as the whole room was in shock. Who would have thought Jordan Marcias would propose to a simple celebrity designer like me????

My eyes begun dripping with tears and I am sure the crowd thought it was from happiness but no. It was because of the hurt I saw in Jaxon’s eyes who was standing behind me..What had I done??? What kind of love triangle madness is this???

I stood there unable to talk…The word Yes had stuck on my throat…

I was shocked, words were stuck on my throat. Suddenly my knees were as weak as cooked noodles…

I knew, the dress was from Jordan but how was I to get myself from this mess. I finally have things going right with Jaxon and I didn’t want to mess that up…

Jaxon’s face was scrunching with anger…

“What is this dress???”
“How should I know???” I replied coldly. I could feel my world crumbling down…

“It’s an expensive dress..” He raised his eyebrows in surprise..
“Yeah and I can’t afford it…”

“Are you sure you have no suitors??? Because I don’t get why it is on your be-d…”

God get me out of this mess and I promise I will try not to be so rude.

“Are you calling me a sl-t?? Yes you are calling me a slut
How am I supposed to know about this dress??? I was with you to Maasai Mara..” I rose my voice..

I know I didn’t have to but I had to make him feel bad to forget about the dress…

“Baby, you are putting words in my mouth..” He spoke calmly…

“Do you believe me???” I flashed him what I hoped was a beguiling smile…

“Trust me honey…” I tried to k!sshim and felt he was still restless…

“Guys, I am sorry. I have come for my dress…” Jane stated when she opened the door..

I could now breath like a normal woman.

“So it’s your dress???” He asked.
“Yeah, Max bought for me and I decided to put it in her room…” She explained, took the dress and walked out of the room.

“Phewks!!!I am glad its not yours…” He sighed and placed his hand on his che-st..
“I told you baby…” I poked his forehead with my f!nger…

“I am so sorry…” He lifted me off the floor and moved me around in circles…

“St©p Jaxon, I will get dizzy…” I laughed..

“I love you Ciara….” He shouted on t©p of his voice.
“I love you too Jaxon ….” I joined him and there we were acting like teenagers…

“Honey, I have to go before mom starts being hysterical…”

His mother was something I tell you..She keeps calling him like it’s an emergency number

“Okay, I will call you later…” We shared a k!ssand he left… Finally I could gather my thoughts together…

Before I could even sit and think about what to do with Jordan, Jane walked in smiling like she had won some lottery.

“Why are you smiling????”
“How was the getaway??? Did you two do it???”

“It’s none of your business…” I stood and walked to the mirror b!tt!g my l!pat the thought of the fun I had.

“Its my business cutie pie..” She looked at me throu-gh the mirror..

I covered my face with my hands, “We did it and I loved it…Like I haven’t had such an amazing s-x in ages…” I giggled like a fool.

“I am so happy for you…” She screamed dancing me around then she suddenly wears a worried look.

“Love, what will you do about Jordan??? You can’t jiggle two brothers…”

“That dress was from him right???”

“Yeah and he said he will come to pick you at 6pm. How do you stand him??? I would have strangled him long time ago. Who does he think he is???” The way she talked you would have thought she was around him all the time..

“You know what I will set things right today…Trust me…”

“So should I bring the dress????”
“No, I will wear one of my creations just to irritate him..” I chuckled…

I know I should have been re-ady by 6pm but I had no hurry. He was the one desperate not me..

When he arrived, I hadn’t even showered. Who cared???

“You aren’t dressed???” He asked shockingly when he found me watching Netflix.
“I didn’t feel like getting re-ady…”

“Are you for real???” He barked holding me by the arm,” We are supposed to be at the minister’s house at 7pm..”
“St©p manhandling me, I will shower when I feel like..”

“Don’t even try to dare me…”
“What will you do???” I stuck my ton-gue out at him…

“You will see….” He took me in his arms.

“Leave me alone!!!” I begun sl@pping his back but he didn’t care.. He slammed into Jane’s and Max’s room.

Jane was in a towel re-ady to get into the bathroom but Jordan pushed her aside and got me in.

He dropped me on the bathroom floor and turned on the shower..

“Jordan this is not my room, the shower is cold..” I shivered.
“I want you re-ady in ten minutes…” He got out of the bathroom and slammed the door…

Jane walked in after he left limping, “That guy is crazy he almost broke my head…”

“Could you plea-se turn the heater on and bring me a towel, sponge and soap??”
“Okay love…”

Yes I got re-ady but took one hour…And I didn’t wear his expensive dress… My life my rules…

“I am re-ady…” I found him walking around the living room in circles…
“It’s alre-ady 7pm, why did you take so long??? Why did you not wear the dress???”

“My life my rules…” I walked past him…
I wore a black off shoulder go-wn with a dramatic side slit that elevated the black -tie go-wn with a column silhouette. This dress really flattered my figure..

“Open the door for me, I am a woman??” I rolled my eyes when we got to his car.
“Are you a cripple???”
“Do you want me to get back to the house???”

I turned to walk away and heard him gro-an , “Fine..”

He opened the door for me and I slid into the pas-s£nger’s seat like a boss.

There was a weird silence in the car. I felt like I was suffocating… Sitting beside him was really boring.

He doesn’t smile, listen to music or even make jokes..

“What are we going to do in the minister’s house???”
“Dinner…”
“Can I turn on the radio???” This guy doesn’t even look at me…He is just focused on the road.

“Which song???”
“h!phop or RnB…”
“My car is not a club…”

“Boring man…” I mumbled beneath my nose and I am sure he heard..

“I am not a boring man, I just can’t stand you…”
“The feeling is mutual brother…” I got my phone from the purse and begun chatting with my baby on WhatsApp…

“Who are you chatting with???”
“Focus on the road…” I replied not getting my eyes off my phone…

Finally we arrived at the Minister’s place…We got throu-gh an entrance tower into a large courtyard throu-gh the front pouch where we were greeted by a large receiving area..

When we got to the mansion, the minister and his wife were waiting for us..
Suddenly Jordan wra-pped his hand around my w@!st.
“Hey Mr Minister, we are here…”
“You are late???”
“My fiancee here wasn’t feeling so well but now she is okay. .”Jordan k!$$£d me. What did I feel from the k!ss??? Disgust…

“I hope you are fine Mrs Marcias???..” The minister’s wife asked hvgging me..
“Yes ma’am. Thank you. Jordan took very good care of me…”

“Okay let’s go you help me set the table as the men talk and catch up…”

The minister and Jordan sat next to a large bar and a wine seller…

The minister’s wife and I went to the kitchen which had a voluminous walk in p@n-try which was open to a casual dining room which had am access to the butler’s p@n-try.

I didn’t un-derstand my role there. All I did was follow her around like a puppy while she gave orders to her servants…
“How do you survive with Jordan, I hear he is an arrogant man???” She asked and like a supportive fiancée I replied,”. de-ep down he is a good man and I love him.

Their house was indeed beautiful.
During dinner, the minister talked about business. I was bored and from the minister wife’s face I could tell she was too…

“So Mrs Marcias, are you happy about the wedding???” The minister asked.
Jordan placed his hand on mine, o really wanted to sl@p s-en-se into him but chose to calm down..

“He is a good man…he is as tough as a coconut but de-ep down he is as soft as a cream…” I smiled forcibly and the table was filled with laughter.

“Mr Marcias what made her out stand???” The wife asked..
He looked at me for a moment and tried to put up a practiced smile before facing them..

“She puts me in my place…”
Wow, I loved that answer..

“He also does dishes after dinner. He will be a good husband. He is also willing to wash these dishes when we are done…” I acted all proud and supportive…

The look on Jordan’s face was priceless.
It was like he had seen a ghost…
The guy has never washed dishes all his life..

“Is that true Mr Marcias??” The minister confirmed and Jordan pressed my hand ti-ght..
“Yes…” He stammered, confusion shouting all over his face..

“Who would have thought a feared CEO is such a good family man??? This is good news. You really deserve the contract..”The minister complimented the shocked man..

“So Mr Jordan is doing the utensils tonight, wow honey you should take some lessons from him…” The wife tea-sed…

I tucked myl-ips in so ha-rd not to laugh.
After dinner, the guy did the utensils for four hours…It was like there was a third world war between him and the dishes…

“Baby, finally….” I tea-sed him. He looked so tired and sweaty. Those utensils were alot…
“I am proud of you…” I k!$$£d him on the left cheek and he just nodded…

“Minister we will get going. Thank you for hosting us…” We said our goodbyes, he held my hand and we walked to the car…

“I hate you for this…”
“That’s what you get for man handling me…” I took the tuxedo coat from his hand and placed it on my shoulder, “I am cold…”

“But how could you do that??? Lie that I do dishes, you really placed me at a ti-ght sp©t…” He spoke calmly but he was really mad. He didn’t want the minister to see us arguing..

“And I will do more if you continue with this madness. Fix this mess. I don’t love you. You didn’t even care to ask if I love someone else. You are so heartless…” I acted all calm but de-ep down I wanted to castrate him..

“Get in the car, I take you home before I change my mind and leave you here…” He ordered in a low tone.
“I will just go back to the house…” I shrugged and he gro-an ed, “You are impossible. Why did it have to be you???”

“Feeling is mutual dishwasher…” I laughed irritatingly…
