If you find yourself struggling with this, you need to pay keen attention to this episode of our series on How To Conquer Stage Fright.

STEP 2:
Use the power of Imagination:
Before stepping up on stage, visualize yourself succeeding on that project. Don't leave it all to chance. Your positive mindset builds your confidence which reflects on your smile and that's what your audience see. Imagine yourself performing flawlessly and receiving positive responses from your audience, do that continuously till it settles in your subconscious mind - this will enable you conquer stage fright.

★FACTS ABOUT THE HIMBA WOMEN★

To the Himba woman, her hair is her power. These semi-nomadic people live in one of the most extreme environments on earth - the deserts that border Namibia with Angola.

As water is scarce they use a mixture of pastes on both their bodies and hair. These pastes blend the aromatic resin of the omazumba shrub with animal fat and ground red pigmented stone. This ‘otjize’ paste gives the women’s skin and hair a distinctive red glow which symbolizes both blood, the essence of life, and the earth’s rich red colour.

AFRICA is such a beautiful place full of amazing people with unlimitedly unique cultures. Aren't the Himba women beautiful? There are many more others like them and we'll be bringing them to your knowledge.

Stage fright is a very common phenomenon amongst so many people especially when it comes to public presentations. This is simply the fear or phobia for crowd.

In so many cases, this fear has developed so much to almost becoming a crippling effect to some persons when it comes to public presentations. By the end of these series, you should be able to conquer this monster.

~ STEP 1:
Prepare And Practice Extensively:
The more prepared you are, the more confident you'll be on stage. This has been the case for so many persons who overcame stage fright. Before coming for that presentation, prepare extensively, this will boost your confidence and enable you dominate your stage.

Meet the 15 year old South Sudanese Female Basketballer who is regarded as the tallest girl in Uganda. She’s currently under a hard training and still looking for an International Schoolarship where she can execute her talent and also be able to continue with her studies.
Her height amazes people, she’s said to be 6.9ft tall which is one of the tallest heights for a female athlete in the world.

The biggest passion of the Untapped Africa Initiative is to help young talented Africans discover the power in their potentials and find the necessary support and aid they need to live out their dreams. We wish this young woman the greatest if lucks in her plights in life.

Meet Bernice Dapaah, a Ghanaian entrepreneur who builds bicycles from bamboo. Her company, the Ghana Bamboo Bikes Initiative, employs mostly women and trains them to build bicycles with bamboo. For every bamboo she uses for the bike, she plants 10 more.

This is a beautiful way of being innovative. Do not be limited by the economic situations in Nigeria, there are unending opportunities all around you. While others are looking, dare to see. While some are just listening, dare to hear. Develop whatever you have before you, commit yourself wholly to a course and stay with it till it grows.

Back in the day, Stallone was a struggling actor in every definition. At some point, he got so broke that he stole his wife’s jewelry and sold it. Things got so bad that he even ended up homeless. Yes, he slept at the New York bus station for 3 days. Unable to pay rent or afford food. His lowest point came when he tried to sell his dog at the liquor store to any stranger. He didn’t have money to feed the dog anymore. He sold it at $25 only. He says he walked away crying.

Two weeks later, he saw a boxing match between Mohammed Ali and Chuck Wepner and that match gave him the inspiration to write the script for the famous movie, ROCKY. He wrote the script for 20 hours! He tried to sell it and got an offer for $125,000 for the script. But he had just ONE REQUEST. He wanted to STAR in the movie. He wanted to be the MAIN ACTOR, Rocky himself. But the studio said NO. They wanted a REAL STAR.

They said he “Looked funny and talked funny”. He left with his script. A few weeks later, the studio offered him $250,000 for the script. He refused. They even offered $350,000. He still refused. They wanted his movie, but NOT him. He said NO. He had to be IN THAT MOVIE.

After a while, the studio agreed, gave him $35,000 for the script and let him star in it! The rest is history! The movie won Best Picture, Best Directing and Best Film Editing at the prestigious Oscar Awards. He was even nominated for BEST ACTOR! The Movie ROCKY was even inducted into the American National Film Registry as one of the greatest movies ever!

NO ONE KNOWS WHAT YOU ARE CAPABLE OF EXCEPT YOURSELF! People will judge you by HOW you look. And by WHAT you have. But Fight on! Fight for Your place in history. Fight for your glory. NEVER EVER GIVE UP!

Even if it means selling all your clothes and sleeping with the dogs, IT’S OKAY! But AS LONG AS YOU ARE STILL ALIVE, Your STORY IS NOT OVER.
