COMMANDING OFFICER 19 BATTALION REAR DONATES FOOD ITEMS TO THE CORRECTIONAL CENTER OKITIPUPA
The commanding officer 19 battalion rear Okitipupa Ondo state Major EO Morakinyo has on Tuesday donated cash gift and food items to the Nigerian correctional center Okitipupa as part of activities to mark his birthday celebration.
Major EO Morakinyo said the gift items donated to correctional center was to identify with the people and also give them a sense of belonging, charging the inmates to be law abiding citizens and not to lose hope.
Receiving the gifts items, the officer in charge of the Nigerian Army correctional center Okitipupa, Officer DA Amele, who appreciate Major Morakinyo for his kind gesture, described him as a man of love that have compassion and as well determined to work the growth of humanity.
Officer Amele while wishing him more grace and strength on his birthday celebration, encouraged the commanding officer not relent in his press towards national development, adding that this year celebration will mark the beginning of greater success in his career.
The commanding officer 19 battalion rear, Major EO Morakinyo therefore appreciate the men and officers of the 19 battalion, the correctional center and other well-wishers who have joined him to celebrate his birthday as the officers of correctional center filed out to take group photograph.

GOV AIYEDATIWA CONGRATULATES HON. D.I. KEKEMEKE ON BIRTHDAY.

The Governor of Ondo State, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, congratulates the National Vice Chairman (South) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Isaac Kekemeke, on his 61st birthday.

Hon. Kekemeke, a former member of the Ondo State House of Assembly, former Secretary to the State Government and former Chairman of the National Examination Council (NECO) is a former Chairman of the APC in the State.

Governor Aiyedatiwa describes Hon. Kekemeke as a dedicated public servant, a political leader of repute and a champion of the people.

The Governor hails the contributions of Hon. Kekemeke to the development of Ondo State in many capacities that he has served, as well as his role in making the APC a ruling party in the State.

Governor Aiyedatiwa also acknowledges the roles played by Hon. Kekemeke towards the enthronement of the Renewed Hope Agenda administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Governor wishes Hon. Kekemeke many happy returns in sound health.

ONDO TO REHABILITATE NYSC ORIENTATION CAMP, IKARE AKOKO.

- As Gov approves payment of monthly stipends to Corps members.

Ondo State Governor, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has approved monthly stipends to National Youth Service Corps members deployed to serve in the State.

Governor Aiyedatiwa made the declaration at the Swearing - In - Ceremony of the 2024 Batch 'B' (Stream 1) of Coprs members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ikare Akoko, on Tuesday.

The Governor promised to rehabilitate the facilities at the NYSC Camp, including provision of Solar-powered light.

The Governor enjoined the new Corps members to dedicate themselves and brace up for the task ahead as they will be exposed to daunting but fulfilling challenges of national development.

Governor Aiyedatiwa reiterated the determination of his administration to adequately cater for their welfare and security throughout their service year in the State.

"As we therefore induct you into the national service of our dear Country today, you face a greater challenge to prove that the future of our Country and coming generations would be secured in your hands. This is why you must rededicate yourselves to the task of bringing about positive changes in your various assignments", he said.

The Governor reiterated that his administration will continue to support NYSC at all times to ensure Corp members have a memorable year in Ondo State.

Speaking after an inspection of the camp, the Governor said: "The area is clean, disinfectant the bathroom and toilet but they are old, some kind of renovation needs to be done and that is what we are going to do. Electricity is also one of their problems and we will try to deploy solar light across the entire camp so that at night the area can be bright and for the hostels, we will see what we can do."

Earlier, in his welcome address, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mr. Samuel Pepple, thanked Governor Aiyedatiwa for his presence at the event, saying from it is the first time a governor will visit the Orientation Camp in the last 13 years.

He said a total of 1,423 Corps members have been registered in the camp for the mandatory one year service for the batch.

The Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Mr. Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye, in his remarks, noted that the Governor's presence is testament of his love to the youth, charging the Corps members to contribute their quota to development of the State.

The Chief Judge Of Ondo State, represented by Justice Femi Akinbinnu, administered Oath of Allegiance to the Corps members.

CHINA TO EXPAND BUSINESS INTERESTS IN ONDO STATE .

- Chinese city, Linyi, eyes investments in technology, agriculture, construction.

- We are making Ondo attractive, conducive for investors, says Gov Aiyedatiwa .

Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has expressed the commitment of his administration to enhancing the existing relationship with the People's Republic of China to further boost the state's economy.

Governor Aiyedatiwa stated this on Monday when he received the Deputy Mayor of the Linyi Municipal People's Government of Shandong City, China, Sun Deshi and his team at the governor’s office in Akure.

Highlighting the mutual benefits for Nigeria and China, Governor Aiyedatiwa noted that Ondo State is rich in natural and human resources. He advocated for an increased exchange of business ideas, particularly in technology, education, and agriculture, to help Nigeria overcome current challenges.

The Governor also affirmed the continuity of the working agreement signed by the late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu with the Chinese city for the operation of the Ondo-Linyi Industry Park in Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area.

Governor Aiyedatiwa, who promised the Chinese delegation the maximum support of government, stressed that his administration is making the State more attractive and conducive for investors to do business.

In his address, Deputy Mayor Sun Deshi of Linyi Municipal People's Government expressed China's interest in collaborating with the Ondo State Government to expand the already established companies, emphasizing China's expertise in technology, agriculture, and construction.

Ms. Yan Yuqing, the Consul-General of the People's Republic of China in Lagos, praised the Ondo State Government for the establishment of the Linyi Industrial Hub and its hospitality.

Ms. Yiqing promised to expedite more business opportunities in Ondo State.

Those at the meeting included the Deputy Governor, Dr. Olayide Adelami, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Prince Segun Omojuwa, Commissioner for Information, Hon Wale Akinlosotu, and a facilitator of the Ondo-Linyi Industrial Hub, Chief Alex Ajipe, among others.

GOV AIYEDATIWA CELEBRATES DR. BODE OLAJUMOKE ON 80TH BIRTHDAY .

Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, congratulates an elder statesman and community leader, Dr. Bode Olajumoke, as he marks his 80th birthday.
