UKRAINE: World Bank Approves $723m for Ukraine

$723m (£551m) has been approved by the Word Bank for Ukraine.

The money approved as loans and grants is to support the country as it battles Russian invaders.

The bank said it is continuing to work on another $3bn package of support in the coming months for the country if the war continues to escalate.

The bank also promised extra help for neighbouring countries that are taking in more than 1.7m refugees, which are mostly women, children and the elderly.

The bank said the funds would help Ukraine's government provide critical services, including wages for hospital workers, pensions for the elderly and social programmes for the vulnerable.

The bank says the financial package for Ukraine includes a $100m pledge from the UK.

"The World Bank Group is taking quick action to support Ukraine and its people in the face of the violence and extreme disruption caused by the Russian invasion," the bank's president David Malpass said in a statement.

The package includes a $350m loan, plus $139m through guarantees from the Netherlands and Sweden.

It is also made up of $134m in grants from Britain, Denmark, Latvia, Lithuania and Iceland, as well as $100m of financing from Japan

The Government of the Republic of Benin has released Yoruba Nation Activist Chief Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Ighoho.

Professor Banji Akintoye, a Yoruba Leader and Leader of Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide’s Umbrella Body of Yoruba Self-determination Groups, and Professor Wale Adeniran, a French Language Expert/Deputy Alana of Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, were given the Activist on Monday.

Chris Brown Sued For $50 Million By Former Housekeeper

A housekeeper for Chris Brown has filed a $50 million lawsuit against the R&B artist after claiming she was attacked by his Caucasian Shepherd Ovcharka dog at his Tarzana, California home in December 2020.

The woman filed the suit under the pseudonym Jane Doe, and is seeking $20 million for pain and suffering, $20 million for emotional distress, and $10 million for loss of income. The lawsuit details what happened during the incident and maps out her reasoning for the financial damages.

The unnamed housekeeper claims that while working at Brown’s mansion his dog Hades got loose and attacked her and ripped off chunks of skin from her face and body. According to the American Kennel Club, this specific breed of dog can weigh as much as 200 pounds. Brown also previously posted a picture of him on his Instagram account.

The lawsuit also claims Brown misled authorities on the nature of what happened, stating he had no idea the attack took place before first responders arrived. This is despite him coming out and allegedly seeing Jane Doe in a pool of her own blood, and instructing his team to “take the dogs before the cops arrive.”

Jane Doe reportedly said she’s already spent $24,000 on medical expenses and believes she’ll spend another $400,000 in the future. Additionally, she claims she will lose $550,000 after the dust from the lawsuit settles.

Chris Brown hasn’t yet responded to the lawsuit.

32-Year-Old Ghanian Media Personality, Abena Korkor Reveals She’s Had S*x With Over 100 Men And She Is Not Ashamed Of It

Abena Korkor, a 32-year-old Ghanaian media personality, has got people talking after she publicly revealed her body count.

In an interview with Jerry Justice on Adom FM, Abena Korkor said she’s had s*x with over 100 men and she isn’t ashamed of it because men do worse.

According to her, she has had numerous escapades all for fun, and she has now lost her body count.

Sometime ago, Abena disclosed what pushed her into sharing her n**es on social media.

The media personality in an interview with Fiifi Pratt on Kingdom FM, revealed that she began sharing her n**e photos and racy videos of herself after being diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

Speaking on the experience she stated that she used to be a quiet church girl who young ladies wanted to model their lives after until she suddenly changed and became the lady no young girl wants to associate with.

She however noted that showing her skin doesn’t make her less intelligent or industrious.

According to her, women should be proud of their sexuality and African women who are proud of exhibiting their sexuality, shouldn’t be seen as being loose or without morals.

God Will Not Forgive You – President Zelensky Tells Putin

Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky has said God's wrath will soon come on Russia's President Vladimir Putin for invading his country.

Zelensky said God will never forgive Russia for the destruction and killings Putin brought on his country.

The Ukrainian leader said this in a new Facebook video on Sunday.

Russia began the invasion of Ukraine over a week ago, with over 1.5 million people reported to have fled the country for safety, while hundreds have been killed and injured.

The two countries will return to the table to find a way to resolve their differences on Monday (today) but before then, the war, already in its second week, will go on as the Ukrainians vow to defend their democratic system at all cost.

“Today is Forgiveness Sunday. But we cannot forgive the hundreds upon hundreds of victims. Nor the thousands upon thousands who have suffered,” Zelensky said.

“And God will not forgive. Not today. Not tomorrow. Never. And instead of forgiveness, there will be Judgment,” he said.

The President accused President Vladimir Putin of Russia of planning “deliberate murder” in the shelling of Ukrainian territory.

“For tomorrow Russia has officially announced the shelling of our territory. Our enterprises of the defense complex. Most were built decades ago by the Soviet government, built in cities,” he cried out.

He said that Russia has turned its attention to killing the ordinary people by shelling “an ordinary urban environment,” where thousands of people work, with hundreds of thousands of civilians living nearby.

He added, “this is murder. Deliberate murder.”
