Dear Ndi okpanam,
Re-awaking the okpanam youth and the spirit of patriotism.
Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed concerned indigenes of Okpanam, today , I write as promised on my fb wall last night, to address some of the pressing issues that threatens the future of our youths in okpanam.
As we all know , Communities are constantly evolving entities that experience shifts in various aspects of their social fabric. One significant area that often captures my attention is the character and behavior of the youth within a community.
The sudden change in the character of community youths, whether positive or negative, can significantly impact the overall dynamics and future prospects of same community.
When we talk about a sudden change in the character of community youths, we refer to a noticeable shift in their attitudes, values, and behavior within a relatively short period. This change can manifest in various ways, including increased involvement in criminal activities, decline in academic performance, social disengagement, or sudden enthusiasm for positive initiative.
"What do we have today amongst the youth of our dear community"?
My dear brothers and sister, Ndá» okpam , fellow comrades, the height of irresponsibility, increased drug abuse, lack of patriotism, love and the height of disrespect among our youth, which has become a growing concern, causing harm to individuals, families, and the overall well-being of Okpanam has eaten deep into the bone marrow of our youths.
Putting down my pen to papers today is to ignite the flames of patriotism, love, and respect within our hearts.
Okpanam, our beloved community, has a rich history and a promising future, and it is our duty as young citizens to contribute positively to its growth. Let us embark on a journey together to awaken the spirit of patriotism, love, and respect, and create a brighter tomorrow for ourselves and future generations.
Patriotism is more than just a love for one's country; it is a deep-rooted devotion towards the welfare and progress of our community. As the youth of Okpanam, we must recognize the significance of our cultural heritage, traditions, and values. By celebrating and preserving our identity, we contribute to the growth and development of our community. Let us embrace Okpanam with open arms and strive to make it a better place for all.
We must also understand that Love and unity are the cornerstones of a strong and prosperous community. In Okpanam, we are blessed with a diverse population, each individual contributing their unique talents and skills. It is our responsibility to cultivate an environment of inclusivity, where everyone feels valued and respected. By working together, we can overcome any challenges that come our way and build a harmonious and united Okpanam.
Recently, like I witnessed, the ways and manners at which a boy of about 19 years was approaching a man of 40 years and above shown to me that our youths has lost respect for the elderly.
Respect is not only an essential virtue but also a fundamental aspect of a thriving society.
Our elders and leaders have dedicated their lives to the betterment of Okpanam. We must acknowledge and honor their wisdom, experience, and guidance. By showing respect towards our elders and leaders, we cultivate a culture of gratitude, humility, and cooperation. Let us learn from their experiences and work hand in hand to create a brighter future. What I see recently and hear our youth spit out is a zero regards to our elders.
Our educational system is nothing to take home. Do we still have youths that wants to acquire quality or sound education?
Education is the key to unlocking our full potential and As the youth of Okpanam, we must prioritize our education and seek knowledge to acquire the skills necessary for personal growth and community development. Let us take advantage of the educational opportunities available to us and strive for excellence in all our endeavors. Through education, we empower ourselves to become agents of change, capable of transforming Okpanam into a thriving hub of innovation and progress.
Service to our community is one powerful way to express our patriotism, love, and respect. By actively participating in community service initiatives, we demonstrate our commitment to Okpanam's well-being. Whether it is volunteering for local charity organizations, organizing clean-up drives, or supporting initiatives that uplift the less fortunate, each act of service contributes to the greater good of our community.
My dear youth of Okpanam, the future of our community lies in our hands. Let us awaken the spirit of patriotism, love, and respect within ourselves and work tirelessly to build a brighter tomorrow for Okpanam. By embracing our cultural heritage, fostering love and unity, respecting our elders and leaders, pursuing education and empowerment, and engaging in community service, we can create a community that thrives on the principles of patriotism, love, and respect.
