Nigerian Association of Gospel Film Journalists to Undergo Formal Inauguration
A significant milestone is on the horizon for the Nigerian gospel film sector, as the Nigerian Association of Gospel Film Journalists prepares for its official inauguration. The pioneering organization, representing an assembly of accomplished gospel film journalists and bloggers, is scheduled to mark its formal establishment on Saturday, August 26, 2023.
In a joint Press Release, Mr. Oluwafemi Dosu, the designated President of the association, and Mr. Oluwagbenga Bankole, the designated Director of Publicity, announced that this pivotal event will coincide with the 5th anniversary celebration of Gospel Film News. The commemoration will take place at GOFAMINT, House of Glory, located at Kilometer 40, Lagos/Ibadan Expressway, Aseese, Ogun State.
According to the statement, the core mission of the association is "to elevate comprehensive and professional film reporting, while fostering impeccable ethical standards among its members." The vision is directed towards "cultivating professionalism, unity, and the advancement of gospel film journalism in Nigeria, in alignment with international best practices."
The release further elaborated that the inauguration will install key officers into their roles, including the President, Vice President, General Secretary, Director of Publicity, Treasurer, Financial Secretary, Welfare, and Special Duties positions.
The event is poised to attract distinguished figures from the realm of drama ministry, such as Evang. Mike Bamiloye, Evang. Shola Mike Agboola of EVOM, Evang. Kolade and Sunmbo Segun-Okeowo, Evang. Yemi Adepoju, Evang. Isaac Femi Akintunde, Dr. Adeoye Omoniyi, Evang. Idowu Oluwaferanmi, Emmanuel Oye, and several other prominent personalities within the Nigerian gospel film industry.
