PROCRASTINATION IS THE THIEVE OF TIME!
WAY TO DEAL WITH IT!
1️⃣ I Told Myself: Enough!
I admitted I had a procrastination problem, and if I didn’t deal with it, it could mess up my life’s ambition. So, I stopped making excuses for it.
2️⃣ Anytime I Remember Something, That’s When It Must Be Done
It doesn’t matter what I’m doing. The moment I remember something that needs to be done, I pause what I’m doing and quickly do it. Immediately! It works FOR ME.
3️⃣ I Started Working With Mobile Calendars and Alarms More Frequently
I began setting alarms for specific days and times when something needed to be done, and I disciplined myself to obey them.
4️⃣ I’ve Been Setting Goals and Planning My Months, Weeks, and Days for Over 15 Years
I plan my months, weeks, and days ahead of time. I know what needs to be done and when. It has helped me a great deal.
5️⃣ I Stopped Trying to Do Too Many Things at Once
I realised long ago that trying to squeeze too many tasks into one day never worked for me. So, I made adjustments, and it has really helped.
6️⃣ I Started Doing Important Tasks Early in the Day
I’m not a night person. I’m an early riser. I wake up early but tend to feel tired from late afternoon. So, I attend to the tough tasks first before my energy drops.
7️⃣ Anytime I Relapsed, I Quickly Snapped Myself Out of It
There were times I noticed I was slipping back into procrastination. Each time that happened, I re-energized myself and returned to discipline.
✅ The truth is, procrastination must be dealt with, and it must be dealt with NOW.
I dealt with mine, and the approach above could help you deal with yours too.
