Lover Boy Kills Partner Because of S*x,Dumps Her Dead Body Inside Well in Ibada

A 26 year old man simply identified as Shagbada Erigga has been arrested by the Oyo state Police Command for killing his girlfriend, 30 years old, Happiness Winifred over s*x refusal and further dumped her co**se inside a well in Ojoo area of Ibadan, Oyo State capital.

Oyo state Commissioner of Police, CP. Chuks Enwonwu made this known while addressing newsmen during a press briefing at the Oyo state Police Command Headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan on Tuesday.

Police revealed that the suspected murderer, Erigga invited his 30-years-old lover, Happiness Winfrey to stay the night on the 21th of June, 2020 and killed her during a heat argument over S*x, before he dumped her body in the well.

The state Command further explained that it’s officer at the Ojoo Police Station swing into action in sequel to an information from one Mr. Agu Benson, a resident of Oritoke Area of Ojoo, Ibadan on the 25th of June, 2020 at around 7:00am in the morning claiming he went to fetch water and found the dead body of the lady inside a well in the neighborhood.

The suspected murdurer, Shagbada Erigga confessed that he “accidentally” killed her girlfriend when she refused s*x and he decided to dump his dead body in a well to keep safe.

“I killed my girlfriend unintentionally because anytime we want to have s*x she used to refuse. I was telling her that why did she like refusing s*x anytime I asked for it.

” She took the argument to the hot level and provoked me to slapped her, she slapped me back, I blow her and he roughed my cloth, then when I hit her on her neck she went unconscious and died.

I had no choice than to be safe and I decided to throw her inside the well.” He explained.

The 26 years old suspected murderer, Shagbada Erigga is a native of Delta state who lives in Ibadan and work as a carpenter in a carpentry industry in New Garage, Ibadan.

The commissioner of Police, CP. Chuks Enwonwu who also commend the unrelenting effort of community leaders in ensuring crime in Oyo state is reduced to the barest minimum, also admonished members of the public to keep providing credible and timely information to aid the force in combating crimes and criminality in Oyo state.

LAUTECH 400L student wins Osinbajo N1m business grant

Olaniyan Opeyemi Emmanuel, a 400L student of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, has won Osinbajo N1m business grants prize.

Emmanuel was among the 100 youths across the country selected and declared winners of the competition.

This was done in commemoration of Proffesor Osibajo’ 63rd birthday celebration by friends of the Vice President tagged “8 March Celebration”.

The one-time presidential aspirant at LAUTECH Students Union Government early last year is popularly known as Flamezy on campus from the department of Mechanical Engineering.

He came 29th with his business idea for PET-Urban, a business that converts used plastics to raw material.

The application was opened to youths between the age of 18-35. Applicants were asked to write a one-off, one page proposal on how 1 million Naira can improve their business. Other conditions for eligibility includes being a resident of Nigeria as well as running a Nigerian brand.

It was gathered that a total number of 26,000 youths applied for the grant.

However, 6,000 out of the numbers did not meet the given deadline while about 16,000 applications were disqualified after the first screening based on a criteria that was decided upon by those in charge.

Only 4,000 Applicants scaled through to the last stage where external analysts were made to asses the applications from Nigeria and the US.

Speaking to Mouthpiece NGR, Emmanuel expressed his profound gratitude to God Almighty for the grace and privilege given to him.

“I will also appreciate Professor Yemi Osinbajo and his friends for putting up this great opportunity for small businesses to grow and thrive.”

“My colleagues in LAUTECH and other students should think outside the box and innovate, they should strive to become problem solver and solution provider.”

Emmanuel noted that there are lots of opportunities out there but only few get to know or have what it takes to get it.

He said the students should search for opportunities out there and stressed that in their gettings they should get wisdom and sell it not.

“Getting wisdom will come through reading beyond shores, students should read books on busineess, investment and leadership. They shouldn’t be restrained to what is taught in the lecture hall alone”.

“Those who want to write a business plan can consult me,” he added.

Okere of Saki To Get Staff of Office On Thursday

Following the emergence of as the Okere of Saki, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State will on Thursday June 11, 2020 present Staff of Office to the paramount ruler of Saki town.
The ceremony is billed to hold by 10 am at the palace of the monarch in Saki town in a low key as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic currently ravaging the globe.

Oba Olabisi who is from the Ado ruling house emerged among the 22 candidates earlier nominated to fill the vacant Okere of Saki stool.

Okere is the title of the stool of the king of Saki in Saki West local government area of Oyo state.

The last Okere of Saki, Oba Kelani Olatoyese Olarinre II died in April, 2013 at the age of 60. Khalid Olabisi, a surveyor who is a graduate of the University of Lagos. He contested for Saki West, Saki East and Atisbo federal constituency in the 2007 general elections under the platform of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and lost to Alhaji Tajudeen Abisodun Were of the People Democratic Party (PDP).

Oyo State Free trade zone coming back to life soon – Hon Segun Ogunwuyi

Director-General, Oyo State Investment and Public-Private Partnership Agency, Hon Segun Ogunwuyi has did closed that the state government is on the verge of reviving the abandoned free trade zone project.

Hon Ogunwuyi, while speaking with journalists over the weekend, said Governor Seyi Makinde was sincere about setting up the free trade zone and would work towards its actualisation.

He said the immediate past administration only paid lip service to the establishment of free trade zone on Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

“Previous government paid lip service to free trade zone. We, as a government, are not interested in just talking about something but we are interested in people seeing it on the ground.

“Currently we are working on bringing back free trade zone into life. Free trade zone is the next best thing after crude oil for any state and we are going to see that happen,” Ogunwuyi said.

He said all efforts of the Makinde government, in the next one year, will be geared towards the expansion of the state economy to attract businesses and investments.

Furthermore, the Ogbomoso born politician added that the state was working to see the actualisation of the Ibadan Inland Dry port in Akinyele local government.

The former Governor Abiola Ajimobi government had in May 2017 flagged off the establishment of Pacesetter-Polaris free trade zone, targeted at being a hub of commerce, but the project didn’t see the light of the day till the administration expired.

Former Governor Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja of Oyo State has debunked claims by his erstwhile Deputy, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala, alleging that he was handicapped by the Ibadan High Chief from performing his role as a lieutenant.

Alao-Akala had insinuated that Ladoja did not allow him to perform his constitutional duties while they were both Governor and Deputy between 2003 and 2007.

The statement credited to Alao Akala, was countered by Ladoja media aide Alhaji Lanre Latinwo who explained that though his boss was not interested in mundane issues, he would merely like to put the records straight for posterity.

The Media Assistant noted that before Alao-Akala became what he termed a ‘Judas’ in Ladoja’s administration, his then boss saddled him with responsibilities of Local Government Affairs and Parastatals Monitoring in the State.

The utterances of the former Deputy, according to Latinwo ‘’was utterly untrue, mischievous and misleading, noting that the estranged Deputy Governor was ‘’being economical with the true.

‘’The claims that Alao-Akala was not allowed to perform while in Office as Deputy to Senator Ladoja, is a figment of his imagination because as a one-time Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the former Governor is adequately equipped with the law.

‘’Alao-Akala was just being economical with the truth because he was presenting to the public a different scenario as against what really took place when he was Deputy
to Senator Ladoja.

“At 70, why is Otunba Akala trying to rewrite history by telling what can be best described as white lies”.

Latinwo explained that after Ladoja’s impeachment saga and Alao-Akala, was dubiously picked to fly the party’s flag and represent the State as candidate at the 2007 Governorship election.
Ladoja was of the opinion that the estranged Deputy did not and still does not have what is needed to lead.

‘’To allow him to focus on his electioneering, then Governor Ladoja shed the assignments given to him (Alao-Akala) in order to focus on his campaign’’, said the statement, explaining that he was not given any other responsibility having become the gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

RRS ARRESTS MAN OVER N**E PHOTOS OF SALAWA ABENI

The operatives of Rapid Response Squad (RRS) has arrested a 19-year-old National Diploma holder of Yaba College of Technology, Lagos as the brain behind the blackmail of Queen Salawa Abeni with n**e photographs.

The suspect, Olufowoke Oladunjoye Emmanuel, a resident of Brentfield Avenue, Peace Estate, Magboro, Ogun State, was picked up by the Decoy Team of Rapid Response Squad last week Thursday after three days of monitoring him.

The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Hakeem Odumosu had in the wake of *the* attempt by an unknown individual to blackmail Alhaja Salawa Abeni sometime in April 2020, directed the Commander, Rapid Response Squad, DCP Olatunji Disu to fish out the suspect.

After technical diagnosis of the complaint, the Decoy Team narrowed down on the suspect few days later.

Sources close to the team disclosed that the suspect couldn’t be picked because of the prevalence of Covid 19.

The suspect in his statement to the police confessed to have been the mastermind behind the ploy to publish some n**e pictures of Waka Queen in exchange for money, adding that he was alone in the scheme.

The suspect, a 2017/2018 Electrical Engineering student of Yabatech, disclosed that he saw the n**e pictures in a memory card which he picked up on the floor in Yabatech sometime in November 2019.

He added that after downloading the n**e photographs of Salawa Abeni on his phone, he picked up her mobile number from her Instagram page.

"On 1st of April, 2020, I chatted her up and also called her after sending few of the photos to her online.

My intention was to negotiate with her for few bucks and for me to destroy the photographs.

I thought everything was going on fine until the following day when I heard the news of the blackmail over the radio. I was with my mother. She was even cursing the blackmailer unknown to her that I was the brain behind it.

I immediately sneaked out, destroyed the memory card and threw my mobile phone and SIM card into nearby wetland in Magboro. Since then, I never mentioned it to anyone and called Madam Salawa Abeni about it again”, he disclosed.

Commenting on the arrest, CP Hakeem Odumosu stated that no individual would be allowed to commit a crime in Lagos from any State or escape to other States in Nigeria to evade arrest.

He advised guardians to monitor their wards, emphasizing that the internet is a fertile ground for opportunities but the State Command would not allow criminals use it as avenue to exploit law – abiding Lagosians.

Just In: UNIBEN Undergraduate R**ed, Killed While Reading Inside Church, Friends, Others Demand Justice

A 22-year-old 100Level student of Microbiology at the University of Benin, Edo State, Vera Uwaila Omozuwa, has been brutally r***d and killed inside a church in the city while reading.

The tragic incident, which happened three days ago, according to friends, saw her attackers smashing her head with a fire extinguisher and leaving her unconscious around the Ikpoba Hill area of Benin City, the state capital.

Despite being rushed to the intensive care unit of a hospital, Omozuwa couldn't make it as she succumbed to the injuries sustained during the savage attack.

Friends and all those, who knew her closely during her lifetime, have been paying tribute and calling for the perpetrators of the crime to be brought to justice.

"It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing away of our loved one, friend, sister and course mate.

"She was r***d on her way home from church and had her head smashed with a fire extinguisher in broad day light around Ikpoba Hill, Benin City. This happened yesterday, May 30, 2020," one friend wrote.

A Twitter user with the handle wrote, "Now this is a girl that just got admission, hasn't even done matriculation, and she was murdered in church.

"She's a newly admitted student of University of Benin, Microbiology Department. ."

Also commenting on the incident, another Twitter user with the handle said, "Saddening how our community gradually becomes unsafe for us. People getting killed on a daily frivolously.

"May Uwa's soul rest in peace and I hope her family ever finds the strength to bear this loss. This is for all of us. Hopefully, the perpetrators are caught! ."

In his own tribute on Twitter, OptomDr0812 said, "I had high hopes that you will make it, I told your mum to be strong, you are just too soft to go through such excruciating pain.

"You fought with those animals, you fought to stay alive in ICU, please don't rest until those demons are caught. ."

Spokesperson for the police in Edo State, Chidi Nwabuzor, when contacted on Sunday morning, did not respond to telephone calls to his mobile number while a text message sent on the matter was yet to be replied as of the time of filing this report.

AKINYELEMONIYAINFERNO: GOV. SEYI MAKINDE DISTRIBUTES Cash TO RELIEF TO Victims

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has donated cash relief to those that were affected by the fire incident that occurred at the Moniya market two weeks ago.

As he promised during his visitation to the scene of the incident, the Governor fulfilled his promise by setting aside the sum of Ten million naira ( #10,000,000)for the distribution to all victims affected by the inferno.

The Chairman Akinyele L.G., Hon. Taoreed Adedigba Jimoh while distributing the cash relief expressed his appreciation to the Governor for his humanitarian gesture towards the people of his local government.

He said that the money had been given to the victims based on the losses of each individual.
He also appreciated him for the recent food palliatives recently distributed by the governor in Akinyele local government & prayed that may Almighty God continue to guide him right.
