Many people always confused Digital Marketing for Affiliate Marketing, but Affiliate marketing is just a Subset of Digital Marketing.

So yesterday night while I went to get bread and egg from the “meshy (pronounce it as meyshai, the Hausa people who sells noodles, bread, egg, tea, etc.) there’s an anomaly that became so expressive to me, and I wanna give voice to it.

The Yorùbás respect people a lot, and that’s not camouflage, it is the way their (our) culture is, being respectful has been grafted into the way we behave, speak, and address people.

But unfortunately many times, they (we) only respect ourselves (I mean our tribal members) we don't tend to respect people from another tribe.

When we are communicating, we use plural words for people that are elder than us, and dare not call them by name, because this is who we are.

But we can call the Hausas, Igbos etc by their name, and use singular words for those of them that are elder than us, simply because they are not Yorùbá, even when they can speak.

This is very bad, and the truth is whether we know it or not, we are watering down, and disintegrating the quality of our language.

I know that many who are of Yorùbá descent can't even speak the language well. But for those who can, please be an agent of change.

What do you do as a city when your residents do not adhere to the rules of crossing roads safely?

You have to think long and hard about how to change their behaviours.

This ad is so ingenious and it speaks to how we can shift public perception and behaviour when we pass our messages across creatively.

PS. Ensure you take sufficient care when crossing roads.

This night, I wanted to buy bread, I went to my usual place to get bread, but unfortunately the kind I usually buy wasn't available, so I thought of options and decided to go to the bakery close by, but got entangled with something else on the way.

When I was done, and stood up to continue my journey in search of bread, I felt a shift in my spirit not to go to the bakery I was headed, but to a Supermarket also close by, I was telling myself “it's being a while I had gone to this supermarket to get groceries.”

I thought it would be a good time to be there, while I was still thinking exactly why I was directed from the place I wanted to go.

After I had gotten the bread, I left, and on my way home, I met a fried who said “because x (the bakery I want to get the bread) didn't open today, you guys has just left them like that right?”

In my mind, I was trying to capture what he said, and when I did, I told him I wasn't aware that they are not opened.

You might be wondering where I'm heading to with all I'm saying right?

Okay, here's it.
The bakery had shut down all other existing bread sales in the city, and it is evidently known in the city today by all other businesses who bakes bread, and other snacks because their sales skyrocketed.

That is the importance of DIGITAL MARKETING. I hope you understand?

“Experience is the best teacher,” they say but it is better to learn from someone who has the experience because learning through experience takes a long time, but learning from someone who has it helps to fast-track the Process.

It is a new day, we are moving closer to the end of the Year, and preparing for the new.
It is important to have goals for the new, but also more important that you smash your old goals.

I had the singular privilege to speak in a panel session on Thursday December 7, 2023. The event was based on knowledge and money, as the DON Emeka Nobis invaded LAUTECH and shared with us on Knowledge and money.

I was able to share my experience on when I began to monetize my skills, and it all boils down to the time I was managing a cafe when I met Joshua Ayodele Yusuf. As at the time all I have in mind is survival, but when Joshua Ayodele Yusuf and I began to speak, and converse I was challenged by his thought Process, and that is what caused the change for me.

I took courses to hone my skill, and then I began to monetize my skills. It was like a dream to me when I got paid from my First job, and that was when I knew that I can work things out.

I also got to share on how Social Media has greatly and largely impacted me. I can’t really remember how I got on LinkedIn, I have tried to but I don’t know how I got there. LinkedIn has really blessed me, and help me get connected with people, and opportunities.

In my less busy time I watch TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. That alone has helped me connect with a lot of persons, and make me grow my network.

I’m so grateful to the Organizer of the Program, Ogunkola Ifeoluwa Esther for Bringing me on board.
