Material wealth can be lost, but the richness of good manners will always stay with us.*

Good manners are the most important provision of the traveller of the straight path. A person cannot be both pious and quarrelsome and unkind.

We should not forget that Satan was banished from the Divine presence not because of lack of knowledge or actions, but because of bad manners. This is why the best thing that destroys Satan is good manners.

May Allāh (ﷻ) bless you with the highest adab and etiquette.
May He ﷻ enable us to stay firm on the Sirat al-Mustaqim.

So, take care of your health: quit smoking, drinking, promiscuity, patronizing unlicensed medical practitioners, and engaging in unhealthy practices, taboos, and harmful cultural customs. PONMO( COW SKIN) CONTAINS PROTEIN:

cooked cow skin, often referred to as "ponmo" in some cultures, contains protein. However, the protein content is relatively low compared to other parts of the cow like muscle meat. Cow skin is primarily made up of collagen, which is a structural protein, and it also contains small amounts of other nutrients like fat. When cooked, the collagen in cow skin breaks down into gelatin, which provides some protein but is not as nutritionally rich as other types of protein found in muscle meats.

Minimum wage has been signed into law

Revenue is pouring into the coffers of the 3 tiers of government from taxable/untaxable sources

Cost of living has not relented - fuel is about #1200 and more in some areas, gas is #1400-1500

Meanwhile, workers have remained on the old minimum wage - all the while!

Where is the humanity in us?

Shouldn't giving Nigerian workers what is due them be an act of patriotism?

Shouldn't not doing same be an act of unpatriotism?

I'm not a civil servant but I feel the pains of these people and others who don't even have a means of livelihood - not that they are lazy or refuse to work - I have 2 graduate daughters in this category.

A supervisor in a secondary in PH yesterday ordered teachers who have no transport fare to wake up early and start trekking to school as truancy won't be tolerated!

What insensitivity!

What are we becoming in this country?

Again and again, the urge is strong to 'mind my business'

After all, those of us who insist that the right thing be done are seen as unpatriotic while those on the opposite side of the divide are the true and genuine lovers of Nigeria and Nigerians!

But the humanity in me won't let me!

I was surprised when I saw a Nupe man squatting to answer a call, probably from one of his superiors or elders. I had never believed that some of them actually do that until that day. These people are a special breed when it comes to respecting elders.
