Attendees at the marriage between President Buhari's son and Emir Ado Bayero's son are trending on social media.

Ordinary opinions are that sworn political and societal rivals both attended the wedding and were in the company of each other!

So what?

This doesn't imply that the fire burning their hatred for each other has been quenched by this monumental wedding.

Haven't you attended church or mosque everyday with that person that is very mean? Perhaps a Landlord? A lecturer?

Haven't you attended the same GST 101 lecture with a fellow student trying to sn**ch your lover from you?

Again, the wisdom in those posts is far fetched.

On one side they become geniuses.
On the other side if they are not in a suitable environment they are labelled outcasts.

ANOTHER DAY IN 'IPOB' HISTORY.

Sit at-home Monday in Enugu, South East Nigeria.

The first sign of the compliance was when the mama put (restaurant) and pubs that routinely open at 6:00am daily were closed on Monday morning. One would think they will open for the morning rush at the junction and probably pack up in an hour, at least. But they didn't open at all.

They were a handful of keke speeding from adjoining streets to the expressway, again I thought by 10 am the traffic will increase, ironically there was a complete silence on the road by 10 am.

All this compliance for the release of one man, Nnamdi Kanu?

No.

This is to show the unity and solidarity of the Ibo people.

It is difficult to have everyone on one side for whatever cause.

But in cases where you can get ⅔ of the people- Lecturers, Students, Professors, Civil Servants, Millionaires, Transporters e.t.c to comply to a non-constituted authority then pay no attention at your own peril.

So, I stayed where I was on 9th August 2021 @ Thinkers Corner, Emene Industrial Layout Junction, Enugu.

DEMOCRACY DAY.

The most unlikely pair in the world is 'The Government' and 'The People'. Both have caused and suffered revolutions, wars and religious differences around the world.

Nevertheless, one is always in bed with the other when elections gradually start and quickly end at the ballot.

Permit me to say, what is started by the BOLD fingerprints of men does not often leave BOLD foot prints in the sands of time.

However, it is an event in an independent country's history that must be celebrated. But barely do we celebrate, we go about our daily turmoils leaving the day to be merely marked on the calendar.

NAT?ONAL UN?TY v NATIONAL GOAL

They are already leading the group by three points and they have made it to the final again this year. Although one more goal will seal the victory, even as the scoreline is 1-0 in their favour.

So, WAJE passes the ball to ZOMUJE who dribbles his first opponent, then runs past his second opponent, but, the third opponent tackles from behind and collects the ball, no whistle is blown, although there is a referee, a bias one.

However, WAJE and ZOMUJE now turn and start chasing their opponent who is running towards their 18 yard box of the field, intent on scoring a goal.

BIAMERIJE is not happy with his players for their miscalculation, but he is the last line of defence, so he positions himself in the middle, in a split second he changes his position when he sees that the opponent is moving the ball towards his left foot, this did not stop the man with the ball as he fired a shot towards the goal post, BIAMERIJE lifts himself up in the air and his body falls back to the ground like a cat, with the ball clutched to his chest. He had saved the team and ensured their victory. Because in the next minute the whistle was blown to signal the end of the match!

BIAMERIJE, did not blame his team mates, he simply played his role.

ZOMUJE & WAJE did not blame anyone they both started running back to defend their goal post. This is because it is their GOAL to ensure winning the match that led to their UNITY.

National unity can only be achieved if there is a National goal

A man has six wives.

Their names are; NW, NE, NC, SW, SE, & SS.

Whenever SS cooks the delicious food in her kitchen, her husband instructs her to give a sufficient quantity to all the other wives, which their children too can eat.

But, each time NW cooks a palatable meal in her kitchen. Her children instantly become hostile, parading the kitchen with harmful objects. The bigger ones thrusting such objects at each other, often drawing blood-a scare tactic- to half-brothers not to dare the food in the cooking pot.

The husband does not instruct NW to give the food to the other wives, he shuns equity and makes a caricature of a caring father who tries to stop the children of NW from truancy, for days, then months, finally years. He ignores the other wives and their children who are patiently waiting for the head of the family to play his role.

But each time he smells the aroma from the chimney of SS, he rushes down to her kitchen and barks down on her to give sufficient amount of food to all the other wives.

SS soon discovers that her food is running out. She has to confide in SE, the one closest to her. However, she must talk to the other wives.

SS wonders if this is a wise decision, to confide in SE. Because SE has never found favour in her husband again, since she last asked for divorce.

SE kept the reason to herself at the time, therefore, it made her the bad wife. But now, SS has began to notice that their husband has shown bias by chosing a favourite wife. Could this be the reason SE forcefully demanded a divorce ?

Who else should she talk to ? Should she talk to NE ? NE seems to have taken the word feminist to the extreme ! Yet she wouldn't ask for divorce ? She can't be trusted.

Will NC be on her side ? NC is always expressionless. NC seems to have food, but she has no kitchen to prepare her meals. She has to tell NC how their husband has wronged her by not building a kitchen for her ! This might get NC to play along with her.

It's time to go !

No. She hasn't spoken to SW.

SW is quite a caterer ! She has the menu list for every delicious meal.

SS has long noticed that whenever she gives out food to them, SW will take her little menu list and chose the meals her list told her to chose. SW wasn't bothered about the meals. SW didn't depend on it. SS concluded that SW would be her Sparring partner or Blank tile or ...Time will tell.

SS was sure. Sure that, it was time.
