Most times, when me and my brothers are discussing, I usually hear this statement from either any of when when communicating how someone offended him to the others
" Well sha , I just leave am because I reason say IF NA MY BLOOD BROTHER DO ME THIS EXACT SAME STUFF OR EVEN WORSE I GO FORGIVE AM" . ......
So you see forgiveness is easy for us to others because we first learnt it among ourselves. Whatsoever you don't cultivate within , you can never express outside. Many at times, I hear friends telling me stuff like " Baba there's nothing like true love" , I simply reply " You don't truly love yourself ". Some will say "there's nobody worthy of trust " , I simply reply " You don't trust yourself ".
Sometimes they become confused and say " no issalie I love myself, I trust myself". I simply shake my head and laugh π
cause I understood what I m saying.
I am able to love you well because I first loved myself well. I love myself, even my flaws cause I know they are all contributing in building my personality. I love my days of weakness, foolishness and my days of strength and wisdom. I am able to accept myself for who I am now and keep myself open for change and improvement. That's why I am able to love you the way I do too. After all " Charity begins at home "
I trust people the way I do now not because I am oblivious to tendencies of them betraying me. I trust them the way I do because I trust myself first. I trust in my ability to forgive myself when I disappoint myself, so I trust my ability to forgive them too no matter their level of betrayal
