VIDEO: Passenger Jet Crashlands At Abuja Airport

A Boeing 737 passenger jet belonging to Aerocontractors Airlines crashlanded at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Sunday.

Although no injury or fatality was recorded, the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau, an agency of the Federal Government, confirmed that the aircraft got involved in a “serious accident” around 10.47 am upon arriving at the NAIA from Lagos.

The Director, Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, NSIB, James Odaudu, confirmed this in a statement issued in Abuja on Sunday, adding that investigations into the accident had commenced.

In Ankpa, in Kogi State, military personnel arrested some political thugs who claimed to be police officers. The only issue with the so-called police officers was that they did not have any form of identification on them other than the uniform and bulletproof vests they had on.

It happened on a day the incumbent governor accused the media of fabricating stories of electoral malpractices and violence.

EFCC Obeys Court Order, Presents Emefiele In Court

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,(EFCC) on Wednesday produced the former Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele,in court to continue hearing of his bail application.

This comes after The EFCC refused to obey a court order directing it to produce Emefiele in court on Monday or release him unconditionally.

The court subsequently restated its order and adjourned proceedings till Wednesday.

On Saturday, November 4, 2023 around 11am, close to NNPC depot in Calabar, 5 kidnappers laid siege to, seized and locked up a private residence of a senior female INEC staff, locked her security guard in the fridge, and took the woman away in her Toyota Highlander.

One of the kidnappers was grabbed by the youths of the area after a chase and he is now with the anti-cultism unit of the Police in Calabar.
