The fact that the electricity tariff was increased from N66 to N 225 kilowatt per hour for customers using at least twenty hours of electricity supply daily and there is no uproar on social media is an evidence that most Nigerians don't belong to band A category of electricity supply. would it now be safe to say electricity is a luxury in Nigeria?
According to the report, the commission will be reducing the number of customers that are in the band A category from 800 feeders to 500 feeders( that is from 17% of the total number of electricity users to 15%) .
I guess it's their way to properly focus on their target audience.
Anyway, the good news is that the increase will not affect others on the lower bands.
How many hours of electricity do you enjoy in your space currently?
