This is what happens when you invest your all in the birthing of art.
You'd achieve beauty, powerful enough to mesmerise and liberate the soul.
After all, even John Keats admits that "A thing of beauty is a joy forever."
While we were busy creating this beauty, I kept telling the author, "We would not sacrifice quality and beauty on the altar of meeting the deadline."
And I am glad she was patient despite the pressure to hasten the process.
And here it is, Ọlábímpé Adélọ́rọ̀'s first literary beauty. You need to read this book to see what she did with her years of experience in cyber security.
You have not read anything like this.
Today happens to be her 20th wedding anniversary. And today, she is also launching this book both offline and online.
We would love you to bless us with your presence at the online launching. Join us on Zoom at 4:p.m. (West African Time).

Nigeria’s Biggest Filmmakers: A Yoruba Dominance?
In a recent discussion, Chude Jideonwo boldly claimed that Nigeria’s biggest filmmakers are predominantly Yoruba.
His statement sheds light on a growing conversation about the cultural dynamics of Nollywood, and more specifically, the significant role the Yoruba film industry plays in shaping the landscape of Nigerian cinema.
Jideonwo’s assertion that, “What has happened is that the Yoruba filming culture has merged itself into the other groups that are leading again.
Can you name one Hausa-language movie on Netflix or Amazon? Or can you name one Igbo-language movie on Netflix or Amazon? The closest was… Genevieve’s ‘Lionheart’ many, many years ago.
Only Yoruba movies are able to exist on Amazon on Netflix and become mainstream cultural hits,” is a thought-provoking observation.
The rise of Yoruba filmmakers is undeniable. With the likes of Kunle Afolayan, Tunde Kelani, and Kemi Adetiba leading the charge, it seems that the Yoruba-language film industry has successfully crossed the barrier between local and international appeal.
This begs the question: why is it that the Hausa and Igbo film industries haven’t achieved similar levels of visibility on global platforms like Netflix and Amazon? Is it simply a matter of linguistic preferences or are there deeper cultural and structural issues at play?
Jideonwo’s statement hints at a merging of cultures within Nigerian filmmaking, where Yoruba films have become the dominant voice that others are now blending into.
This dominance could be attributed to a rich history of storytelling, deeply rooted in Yoruba tradition, which has found resonance with both local and global audiences.
The narratives in these films, often infused with cultural heritage, seem to strike a universal chord, making them more appealing to streaming giants.
However, this dominance also raises concerns about the underrepresentation of other Nigerian ethnicities in
Knowing Your Worth: The Power of Proper Branding and Delegation
In 2012, Nigerian comedian Bovi found himself on the verge of a turning point in his career. An agency reached out with an offer for a one-minute ad for Diamond Bank.
The pay? 200,000 Naira. For a rising star like Bovi, who had only been in the game for four years, the money seemed reasonable.
But, he knew the value of opportunities that could grow his career, so he accepted the deal. Little did he know, this "small deal" would teach him one of the most significant lessons in branding and self-worth.
The adverts started rolling in, and things were looking up. But here’s where the story gets interesting. Bovi reached out to Ann Obaseki, Basket Mouth’s manager, to help him prepare an invoice.
When she found out the details of the contract, her reaction made Bovi take a step back. She couldn’t believe he would settle for such a low amount when his face would be the bank’s front for the whole year.
And that’s when the scales fell off.
You see, many of us undervalue ourselves simply because we don't fully understand the power of our own brand. We accept less than we deserve, thinking we’re making a “smart decision.”
But what Bovi did next should serve as a lesson for every one of us—he didn't hesitate. He immediately walked away from the deal and told the agency that the money was too small.
He was willing to give up the opportunity for something that better aligned with his worth.
The agency insisted they wanted only him, so he directed them to speak with his new “manager.”
Ann stepped in, doubled the offer, and secured the deal on much better terms. In the end, the advert not only paid Bovi what he was worth, but it also won Nigerian Advert of the Year.
The moral of this story? Know your worth. Sometimes we are our biggest limitations, and until we realise our true value, we will continue to accept crumbs when we should be feasting. It’s about understanding your pe

Florence Otedola, famously recognised as DJ Cuppy, has achieved a groundbreaking milestone, becoming the first Nigerian to lead an opening session at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

🎥 Watch as Kayode Okikiolu brings a brilliant perspective to the Nigerian Petroleum Industry through an unexpected medium—table tennis! 🏓
In this thought-provoking video, Kayode uses the game to symbolise the back-and-forth power dynamics between major players like the NNPC, Dangote Refinery, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Whether they win or lose, these players still come out on top, while the common people bear the real loss.
This clever commentary shows how we, the people, are being 'played' in the energy sector. It’s an intelligent and creative way to break down the complexity of the industry.

There's a rising movement against PROSPERITY SERMONS in Nigerian churches, now dubbed the 'Abel Damina Effect.' A shift in focus, challenging what we’ve always known. Change is here!
The words below belong to Pastor Sam Adeyemi:
"It is amazing that the pictures now being painted for us as Christians, even as believers that the proof that God has accepted us, that God has blessed us is in the material things we acquire.
It's in the cars. It's in the houses. It's in the money.
It's a BIG LIE. There are loads of people that don't pray, they don't know God, they are not saved and they have LOADS of MONEY.
The kingdom of God is not MEAT AND DRINK. Romans 14 VS 17. It is righteousness. It is peace. It is joy in the Holy Spirit."

Happy Sunday
