The Supreme Court of Nigeria has temporarily halted the move by the Federal government to ban the use of the old N200, N500 and N1000 notes as legal tenders from February 10.

The Supreme court gave the order while delivering judgment in the exparte application filed before it by the Kaduna, Zamfara, and Kogi state governments against plans by the FG to stop the use of the old Naira notes.

The three states had applied for an order of interim injunction restraining the FG through the Central Bank of Nigeria or the commercial banks from suspending or determining or ending on February 10, 2023, the time frame in which the older versions of the N200, N500 and N1000 notes may no longer be legal tenders

Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived a woman named Maria. She was known for her love for good health and was always seen practicing healthy habits like exercising, eating clean, and drinking plenty of water.

One day, Maria visited a local fortune teller who warned her about a curse that would befall her if she continued to prioritize her health. The fortune teller told Maria that if she continued her healthy habits, she would become cursed and would become a ghostly figure that would roam the village, seeking revenge on anyone who didn't prioritize their health.

Maria laughed off the warning and continued her healthy habits, thinking it was just a silly myth. But as time went by, strange things started to happen. Every time Maria exercised, the villagers would hear ghostly whispers coming from the forest. At night, they would see ghostly figures floating in the air and disappearing into the darkness.

As the rumors of the ghostly figure spread, the villagers became afraid and many stopped practicing their healthy habits. But Maria refused to give up her love for good health and continued her routines, despite the warnings.

One day, while Maria was out for a morning jog, she suddenly disappeared into thin air. The villagers searched for her but she was nowhere to be found. It was as if she had vanished into the ghostly world.

From that day on, the ghostly figure of Maria was seen roaming the village, seeking revenge on anyone who didn't prioritize their health. The villagers lived in fear, and many stopped practicing healthy habits altogether, for fear of becoming cursed like Maria.

And so, the tale of the ghostly figure of Maria, who once loved good health, serves as a warning to all who prioritize their health. For if you don't heed the warnings, you may end up like Maria, lost in the ghostly world forever.

Didi Ezenwa is from Imo state Nigeria. He is an Actor and producer, he studied mass communication in Abia state University;

Didi in his words " I'never planned to venture into acting. It all happened incidentally. I was passing along a movie set, and the director called me and asked me to do a scene for him. After that scene, my passion to do more acting grew.

I went to UUC academy, where I got some training, and also shot my first short film. After the programme, I started attending auditions and getting roles. Though during my college days, I was part of a drama group called ivory Tower theater, the best drama group in South East then, trainings I got from the group, helped my confidence and attitude in acting".

When asked about his love life by one of our correspondent, his respond was rather funny though, in his words " Relationships are complicated, I rather focus on my career"

The Department of State Services on Monday said its officers have arrested an undisclosed number of persons involved in the sale of the new naira notes.

The DSS, in a statement on Monday by its spokesman, Peter Afunanya, accused some commercial bank officials of aiding the crime.

The statement was titled, ‘DSS intercepted syndicates selling new currency notes, bank official implicated’.

It read, “The Department of State Services hereby informs the public that it has intercepted some members of organised syndicates involved in the sale of the new redesigned naira notes. In the course of its operations, in this regard in parts of the country, it was also established that some commercial bank officials are aiding the economic malfeasance.

“Consequently, the Service warns the currency racketeers to desist from this ignoble act. Appropriate regulatory authorities are, in this same vein, urged to step up monitoring and supervisory activities to expeditiously address the emerging trend.

“It should be noted that the Service has ordered its Commands and Formations to further ensure that all persons and groups engaged in the illegal sale of the notes are identified. Therefore, anyone with useful information relating to this is encouraged to pass the same to the relevant authorities.”

Four months after the mysterious death of YouTuber and blogger, Gabby Petito, the FBI has revealed that her boyfriend , Brian Laundrie "admitted responsibility" for her murder in a notebook found with his body.

Brian Laundrie, 23, shot himself after Petito was found in September 2021 strangled in a Wyoming campground. The couple had been on a cross-country road trip in their van that Gabby Petito documented on YouTube.


But Laundrie returned alone to his family home in North Port, Florida, on 1 September without Petito sparking outcry by her family over her disappearance . Weeks later her body was found.

The murder of Petito, 22, drew national media attention and the FBI placed Laundrie as a person of interest in her death but weeks after disappearing, Laundrie's own body was found in a Florida nature preserve near his parents' home on 20 October

"The investigation did not identify any other individuals other than Brian Laundrie directly involved in the tragic death of Gabby Petito," FBI Denver Division Special Agent in Charge Michael Schneider said in a statement on Friday, January 21.

The FBI's primary focus throughout the investigation was to bring justice to Gabby and her family."

He said all "logical investigative steps have been concluded" in the case.

In a statement, the Petito family thanked law enforcement for their investigation. They gave particular praise to the FBI's Victim Services Department, which they said helped the "entire family navigate through the worst moments of their lives".

FBI says Laundrie's body was found in an area of the nature preserve that had previously been underwater. He was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, along with the journal, a revolver and a backpack.The FBI statement said that, on his journey back to Florida, Laundrie sent text messages between his and Petito's phones in an attempt "to deceive law enforcement by giving the impression Ms Petito was still alive". He also used her debit card without authorisation.

FBI Agent Schneider praised the public for submitting "thousands of tips," calling their role "invaluable".

When you eliminate the care (or worry or stress or whatever you want to call it), you are free to really be in the relationship. You can see the other person for who he is and you can give yourself to him freely – no strategy, no game-playing, no manipulation. You won’t feel a need to control anything. You can just be and there is no greater feeling than that.



But how do we do it? How do we stop our minds from spinning into overdrive, sending out waves of unpleasant thoughts and alarm bells?1. Realize stressing gets you nowhere

1. Stop-stressing-relationships

You need to realize that getting all wound up over the state of your relationship serves no purpose, ever. It causes problems within the relationship, and more importantly, it takes a huge toll on your sense of self and self-esteem. When you care too much, you inevitably become attached to a certain outcome. You invest mental energy in making sure things go a certain way. And if they don’t, then you suffer on many levels.



I have been guilty of stressing over past relationships. It was always the same pattern. Things started out fun and light, I got excited about the possibilities…and then became scared that my imagined future wouldn’t come to be…and then panic set in. From then on, the relationship was no longer enjoyable. Every interaction and conversation became a test to see exactly where he stood and how he felt.

2. See a relationship for what it is

Let’s talk about what a relationship is and isn’t. We’ll start with what it isn’t. A relationship isn’t a measure of your worth or worthiness in this world. It is not there to serve you and give you things like happiness and self-esteem. It is not there to make you feel good about life and about yourself. This isn’t to say a relationship can’t do these things, it’s just that these aren’t the elements upon which a healthy relationship is built.



A relationship also isn’t some sort of milestone, a sign that you have “made it,” that you will be OK, that you are now a member of some elite club.

Tips for general healthy living

All humans have to eat food for growth and maintenance of a healthy body, but we humans have different nutrition requirements as infants, children (kids), teenagers, young adults, adults, and seniors. For example, infants may require feeding every 4 hours until they gradually age and begin to take in more solid foods. Eventually they develop into the more normal pattern of eating three times per day as young kids. However, as most parents know, kids, teenagers, and young adults often snack between meals. Snacking is often not limited to these age groups because adults and seniors often do the same.

Tips:

1.Eat three healthy meals a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner); it is important to remember that dinner does not have to be the largest meal.
2. The bulk of food consumption should consist of healthy foods, such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and fat-free or low-fat milk products.
3. Incorporate lean meats, poultry, fish, beans, eggs, and nuts (with emphasis on beans and nuts) into a healthy diet.
4. Choose foods that are low in saturated fats, trans fats, cholesterol, salt (sodium), and added sugars; look at the labels because the first listed items on the labels comprise the highest concentrations of ingredients.
5. Control portion sizes; eat the smallest portion that can satisfy hunger and then stop eating.
6. Healthy snacks are OK in moderation and should consist of items like fruit, whole grains, or nuts to satisfy hunger and not cause excessive weight gain.
7. Avoid sodas and sugar-enhanced drinks because of the excessive calories in the sodas and sugar drinks; diet drinks may not be a good choice as they make some people hungrier and increase food consumption.
8. Avoid eating a large meal before sleeping to decrease gastroesophageal reflux and weight gain.
9. If a person is angry or depressed, eating will not solve these situations and may make the underlying problems worse.
10. Avoid rewarding children with sugary snacks; such a pattern may become a lifelong habit for people.

All skin types can benefit from daily cleansing and moisturizing, but different skin types, which include oily, dry, normal, combination and sensitive skin, have different needs—which is why understanding your skin type is the first step in caring for it. But how do you know what type of skin you have? The answer can be found through simple observation.

There are five different skin types: oily, dry, normal, combination and sensitive. By understanding what type of skin you have, you can begin to make informed decisions—giving your skin the care and protection it needs now and for years to come.
Skin type can generally be determined by simple observation. With two types of tests you can perform at home, we can help you understand what kind of skin you have in just 30 minutes (and most of that time is spent relaxing at home with a clean face).

Common Characteristics of Skin Types

Oily skinproduces an excess of sebum that causes the skin to appear shiny and feel greasy—especially throughout the T-Zone (forehead, nose and chin). If you have oily skin, you may be more likely to have enlarged pores, develop acne blemishes and be more prone to acne breakouts.

Dry skin is typically dull and may become rough, flaky or even scaly. It often feels tight or less elastic and may be prone to showing more visible lines. In addition, it may become itchy or irritated.

Normal skin is balanced—feeling neither dry nor oily. It is not prone to breakouts, flakiness, feeling slick or tight. Pores are generally small, the skin's texture is smooth, and it is less likely to be prone to sensitivity or blemishes.

Combination skin includes areas that are dry as well as oily—with the T-Zone commonly being oily, and the cheeks being either dry or normal.

Sensitive skin is often referred to as a skin type, but you can have oily and sensitive skin, dry and sensitive skin or normal and sensitive skin. Regardless of which type of skin you have, if you have sensitive skin, it may be red, feel like it's burning, itching or dry.
