The purpose to bring together Academics program all over Nigeria and Africa as a whole for Championship .
Coach peter Ahmedu and his other coaches in the US believe this is the only way then can contribute and give back to the Society and a continent that have huge talent and give the kids opportunity to play the game they love . We are hoping it will be annual or quarterly program.

NBA Nigeria extends Jnr. NBA program to AJ City

The NBA Nigeria office hosted her first Jnr. NBA Clinic in 2024 at the Ajeromi Ifelodun Recreation Center in Ajegunle.

The event which also doubled as a Coaches Clinic hosted 85 kids and 6 coaches in the community to the Jnr. NBA curriculum.

The kids & coaches were thought the Fundamentals of the game as well as soft skills that elevate team spirit and excellence of basketball.

GAME 3.0
Yesterday marked the commencement of the 3rd friendly matchups within the Lagos 🏀 Secondary Schools Circuit.

Airforce Secondary School's male team secured a victory, defeating Whitesand School with 29 points. (38 - 09)

However, on the female side, Airforce Secondary school faced a tough challenge from New Era Girls Secondary School from Surulere, resulting in a 32-01 loss.

In the final game of the day, the male teams of Ijaiye Estate Grammar School and Airforce Secondary School competed, concluding with a 33-24 victory in favor of Ijaiye.

EBUKA & THEKLA U16 INVITATIONAL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT.

Riverdragons basketball program emerged winners of the ebuka & thekla invitational basketball tournament played at the lagos state sports commission mobolaji johnson sports centre rowe park. the tournament sponsored by riverdragons basketball program graduate ebuka oguezuonu featured eight youth basketball teams: riverdragons basketball team, warriors academy, hoops campos, warlords, mc'spencer academy,, dodan cadets, ajegunle ravens and bobcats. warriors academy stunned warlords in the third place game while riverdragons coached by academy graduate bolaji emilagba and david edward had to rely on a steal by ebuka dikeocha of riverdragons with ten seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. the game ended 37 - 36.
cash prizes were given to the winners . Riverdragons basketball program got the sum of one hundred and fifty thousand naira. Ravens got one hundred thousand naira while warriors academy got seventy five thousand naira.
most valuable player - obi godswil akunebu won the sum of twenty thousand. in a post game interview, the most valuable prayer expressed gratitude to the sponsor for putting together a fantastic tournament.
the tournament was proudly supported by the lagos state basketball association and had in attendance the chairperson of the basketball association miss Barbara harper. big shout to everyone that made it possible most especially phillip braide and the secretary lagos state basketball association olasupo williams.
