Light Is Sweet!
God has been so good to me thus far in life. He is a good God and is mindful of me. I give Him all the praise for He alone is worthy to be praised!
I may not have had this strong conviction a few years ago when my life hit “very rough weather.” At that time, it was as though the world was going to end and I was going to become as nothing. I wondered what I had done wrong to merit such an attack against me and everything that had to do with me. I knew I was not entirely living right and had key areas that needed to be addressed, and so I thought I had finally done myself in. I felt it was avoidable and at some point, indeed felt that God could have averted such downfall on my behalf. It was particularly bad because of the state of my family at the time.
I would spare you the details but in it all I saw the hand of God and it was mighty on my behalf. It remains mighty actually and most of all, I am more fulfilled in Him today than I have ever been. Like Job, I can say that I knew only what I was told about God before, but now I have witnessed His intervention and know who He truly is.
I am upward bound again, taking one step at a time, looking unto Jesus - the author and finisher of my faith, trusting in His word and enjoying the life that He promised. God has done through my hands what I never imagined in these last few years. In particular, He put a “writing grace” upon my life and has written to date over 27 life-impacting and life-transforming titles through the hands of my wife and I, all testifying to His glory and sharing those things that He has opened our eyes to.
