WARD A, H QUALIFY FOR BAMIGBOYE'S CUP 2023 FINAL IN MUSHIN The maiden edition of the U13 Mushin Street Soccer Tournament tagged Bamigboye's Cup 2023 which started last week, played the semi-final marches today which Ward A and H qualified for the final match. The Chairman's Cup is aimed at developing grassroots football in Mushin local government by engaging soccer youngsters in the community to represent their wards as a team in the tournament. Today's semi-final matches were played simultaneously as usual at Denedo Street, Itire, and Anipele/ Solomon Close, Mushin of Mushin Local Government (MLG). At Ward H Itire, where Ward A and Ward J played, the match ended in 4 goals to 1 against Ward J which made Ward A qualify for the final match. In another semi-final knock-out match played at Ward A, Mushin hosted Ward G and Ward H, and the match ended draw 2: 2, and a penalty shoot-out made Ward H win the match with a 2-1 winning. The final match which was initially scheduled to be held today Friday, 1 September 2023 due to the sudden death of Hon. Muritala Oyeniyi, the Deputy Leader, representing Ward D at the Council Legislative Arms who died on Saturday, 26 August, 2023 will be hosted next week Friday, 8 September 2023 at Mushin LGA Secretariat car park, Palm Avenue by 3 pm between Ward A and Ward H.
