If only you knew what you have been throwing away.

Onion, garlic and ginger peels are not waste ooo.

They're loaded with nutrients and antioxidants you can't afford to miss.

Infact, since onions are that expensive, why not use the peels to make some dry rubs and spices then use the actual bulb for the main cooking. For me, nothing goes to waste in my kitchen.

Here's what you need to know!

Onion peels contain quercetin- an antioxidant that is anti aging and good for cardiac health. And the highest amount is found in the peels not the bulb. It also contains vitamins (A, C, E).

Garlic also contains vitamin A and anti inflammatory compounds.

Ginger peels contains gingerol which fights inflammation and reduces wrinkles and fine lines.

Use only goods peels not rotten ones and remember to wash thoroughly.

Recipe:
Onion, garlic and ginger peels
Dried crushes pepper (1/4 cup)
Homemade Adobo seasoning (1 TBspoon)
Italian seasoning (dried thyme, oregano, Basil,, sage) 1 TBspoon.

Wash peels and dry till crisp

Mix all ingredients together and blend

Store in a dry container and used as spice mix.

Come and see Gift ooo🎉🎉🎉

Last week when hubby was stepping out, he ask if l needed anything from the African store as he may go there.

I didn't have much to restock so l just ask him to restock our proteins as that was what as running out.

Fast forward to when he got back and l went to help him get things from the truck of the car. Only to see a box of yam. He said he remembered l haven't eaten yam the way l should as a nursing mom and this is what l would normally eat in Nigeria.

Honestly, yam is the new gold here. The last time, we bought 2 pieces for $30 and didn't do much for us. So most of the time, we make do with sweet potatoes and plantains. The box is a fair deal, as he got it for $85 for 13 tubers.

I have been dancing o and thinking of all the amazing recipes to create. This holiday already got lit🥰🥰🥰.

No be to do better pounded yam like this🤣🤣🤣
