Is this the reason US basketball is falling behind?
Over the years, basketball development in the US has been stuck in a cycle of mediocrity where young players have turned into money making machines for these programs.
It's no news that the AAU program is broken and now, the college system is facing it's own share of redundancy. NIL deals and signing of professional players is the biggest trend and this in turn means the pathway for kids in highschool, prep and junior colleges is slowly going extinct.
The rest of the world has caught up and the US is slipping up
