Tinubu Under Fir£ Over Anarchy Comment At Tribunal
Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu has received intense criticism for warning members of the presidential elections tribunal that removing him as president could lead to a breakdown of law and order in Nigeria.
Tinubu who admitted his failure to score 25 per cent of votes cast in Nigeria’s capital Abuja said it was insufficient to overturn his victory as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
In their final defence statement to the court, Mr Tinubu’s legal team, led by Wole Olanipekun, said, “Any other interpretation different from this will lead to absurdity, chaos, anarchy and alteration of the very intention of the legislature.”
With ‘Anarchy’ trending on Twitter, Nigerians berated Tinubu’s lawyer’s submission.
Tinubu, who contested the February 28 presidential election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was declared the winner of the poll by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Tinubu secured a total of over 8 million votes to defeat Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who had the second-highest figure of over 6 million votes, while Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) came third with over 6 million votes which was lesser than Atiku’s.
However, Atiku and Obi approached the tribunal seeking to upturn Tinubu’s victory
Adamu had also claimed ignorance of the emergence of the principal officers, saying he was not carried along in the process by the lawmakers.

Davido’s Ex-signee Trevboi Wanted Over Alleged Murder
Former music artiste signed under Davido’s record label, Trevboi Amosun, has been declared wanted by the police following the killing of another man at a popular nightclub in Fadeyi, Lagos.
According to a twitter user, who goes by the moniker ‘Cloud Target’, the killing occurred Friday night at Bar 38, where the victim, identified as Kenny died.
He alleged that Trevboi shot and killed Kenny during an altercation late Friday night.
Reacting, the Police PRO, Benjamin Hundeyin said investigation into the incident has commenced.
The nightclub, Bar 38, has temporarily suspended its operations as the police conduct their investigations at the scene of the incident.
The management of the establishment has expressed its cooperation with law enforcement to ensure a thorough and unbiased inquiry.

Emily Blunt Set To Take Break From Acting
Mary Poppins Returns' actress Emily Blunt has revealed she is taking a break from Hollywood so she can focus on her family.
Emily Blunt, who has daughters Hazel, nine, and Violet, seven, with husband and fellow actor John Krasinski - wants to scale back her work commitments this year to "be there" for her kids for an extended period of time.
Appearing on iHeartPodcast's Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi, she said: "This year, I'm not working.
"I worked quite a bit last year, and my oldest baby is nine, so we're in the last year of single digits."
The actress added that there was a great “emotional cost” to her and the kids when she takes on time-consuming projects.
She added that she’s “very prone to guilt”.
The 40-year-old actress, who stars in Christopher Nolan's upcoming film Oppenheimer, explained that she wants to be there for certain moments in her daughters' days which "are so important when they're little".
It comes as Blunt recently admitted that she doesn’t want her children to follow in her footsteps and be actresses.
The British star admitted that the cutthroat industry can be “very disappointing” for women due to its superficial element.

Lady Set To Break World Record For Longest Sex Marathon
A 25-year-old woman, named Danny Zara, from Mankon in the North West Region of Cameroon, is set to break the Guinness World Record for the longest duration of sexual intercourse.
Incidentally, the current holder of the record for longest sex is a Nigerian man with an existing record of 15 hours, 7 minutes and 23 seconds, a record held since 2013.
The attempt to break and set a GWR record has thrown out many interested participants after Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci successfully broke and set a new record for longest cooking marathon by an individual.
Danny Zara from Cameroon, wants to establish a new record of 200 hours in this specific activity, and to achieve this, she is seeking the participation of capable individuals who are willing to join her in this endeavor.
The sex-a-thon is set to commence on the 17th of July, 2023 in Limbe, Cameroon with the event venue to be communicated exclusively to the selected participants.

Tom Brady and Kim Kardashian have sparked dating rumors after they spotted being super flirty with each other” at Michael Rubin's annual white party last weekend, intensifying rumors they are dating.
According to the Daily Mail, a source at the party alleged the Reality tv star Kim and American football legend Brady were “seen during the day on the beach together and again dancing at night.”

Gbenga Daniel Demands Suspension Of His N676k Monthly Pension
If only Nigerian politicians could be like GBENGA Daniel, the word would indeed be a better place. The poor would not need to lament about being choked.
The former Ogun State Governor did a noble thing, shocking Nigerians by letting go of his monthly pensions that’s about N676k.
Mr GBENGA Daniel, who was elected in February 2023 to represent Ogun east in the red chamber of the 10th national assembly, said he has written to Dapo Abiodun, governor of the state, to stop his monthly pension and allowances.
In a tweet on Friday, the former governor said “good conscience” informed his decision to have his monthly payment suspended.
In a letter attached to the tweet, Daniel said apart from the pension, he has not benefited from any welfare package such as medical, transportation or furniture since he left office in 2011.
Daniel was the governor of Ogun from 2003 to 2011.
This is act should motivate Nigerian politicians to stop hoarding the National cake and let the poor breathe by giving back to the society.

Italy's former prime minister, Silvio (berloni)Berlusconi has left €100million to a 33-year-old girlfriend and control of the family holding company, Fininvest, to his two eldest children.
The billionaire, who was one of Italy's richest men died on 12 June from leukaemia at the age of 86.
The three-time Italian prime minister whose empire is estimated to be worth more than €6bn, also left €100m to his brother, Paolo, and €30m to Marcello Dell’Utri, a former senator with his Forza Italia party who served jail time for association with the mafia.
Marina and Pier Silvio – his children with his first wife, Carla Elvira Dall’Oglio – will hold a combined stake of 53% in Fininvest, according to details of the will which was unsealed on Wednesday night
33 year old Fascina, a Forza Italia deputy, began a relationship with Berlusconi in 2020. The pair held a “symbolic” marriage ceremony in March 2022 and Berlusconi reportedly referred to her as his “wife” on his deathbed.
Berlusconi wrote his will by hand on a yellow notepad marked with the letterhead of his mansion near Milan – Villa San Martino – and signed it on 2 October last year, weeks before Forza Italia returned to government in a coalition led by Giorgia Meloni’s Brothers of Italy party.
According to reports, the decision over Fininvest was made in 2006.

The battle of the billionaires just got tense as reports reaching ALLNEWSNIGERIA reveal that more than 10 million people have registered accounts for Meta's new Twitter rival, Threads, just seven hours after its launch.
The billionaire, Mark Zuckerberg, who goes by the handle "Zuck on Threads," made the announcement on Wednesday night,, July 5 as he wrote a flurry of posts and replies coinciding with his new app's debut.
Threads is linked to Instagram, which Meta said in October has around two billion monthly active users.
The new app allows users to create Threads accounts with their Instagram usernames, as well as connect with people they follow on the image-based platform.
The launch of Threads comes as Twitter still the most widely used text-based social media app prevented free users from viewing more than 800 tweets a day and revamping its verification system.

Tragedy As Mad Man Strangles Waec Student To D£ath
A suspected mentally deranged man has allegedly strangled a 17-year-old student, identified as Beke Meretighan, to death in Arogbo, Ese Odo Local Government Area of Ondo state.
It was gathered that the deceased was attacked by the mentally ill man while writing his Junior WAEC on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at Ijaw National High School Arogbo, Ese Odo LG.
According to Ondo State-owned newspaper, HOPE, the “mad man” who ran into the school premises pursued students as they were shouting “Werey” which means “mad person” in Yoruba language.
The suspect was alleged to have grabbed the JSS 3 student who was writing his Junior West African Examination, put his head under his armpit and strangled him to death.

Three Ipob Members Arrested In Anambra
A security operatives in Anambra State have arrested three suspected members of the outlawed Eastern Security Network (ESN) and Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
They were arrested on Wednesday July 5, 2023, by operatives attached to Forward Operating Base (FOB) Aguata who were on a stop-and-search duty at Afor Nnobi road junction.
The suspects were reportedly intercepted with two AK-47 rifles with 150 live ammunition, fake police and army uniforms, two cell phones, two bulletproof vests, two walkie-talkies.
Recall that a viral video on Wednesday, showed the moment some members of the Independent People of Biafra (IPOB), brutalised a tricyclist in the southeastern part of Nigeria for not observing a sit-at-home declared by the group.
The sit-at-home is a disruptive practice initiated by various factions of IPOB to force the government to release Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the group.

Cocaine Found In White House, Hunter Biden Linked
The US Secret Service has begun Investigation following a cocaine discovery in the White House.
The discovery in the West Wing, which contains the Oval Office and other working areas for presidential aides and staff, led to a brief evacuation.
Secret Service agents found the suspicious powder in an area that is accessible to tour groups while doing a routine inspection, on Sunday night.
President Joe Biden and his family were at Camp David in Maryland at the time.
A senior law enforcement official said the substance was found in a storage facility routinely used by White House staff and guests to store mobile phones.
A preliminary test, which was first reported by the Washington Post, later confirmed it was cocaine.
The Secret Service will lead a full review of how the substance got into the White House. They said cameras and entrance logs would be examined to determine who had access to the area where it was found.
Cocaine is a Schedule II drug under the Controlled Substances Act, meaning it has a high potential for abuse, according to the US Drug Enforcement Administration.
The West Wing is a large, multi-level part of the White House that contains the offices of the president of the United States, including the Oval Office and the Situation Room.
Hundreds of people enter and exit the West Wing every day due to its proximity to the president's office. It houses most of the White House administration offices and is also part of the general public tour.
Therefore, the investigation is complex, and it is speculated that it will take some time to identify suspects..
Meanwhile, twitter users are accusing the president's son as a possible suspect due to his past involvement with drugs.
Earlier this summer, a video was leaked showing Hunter Biden smoking crack while driving through an Arlington neighborhood. The video also revealed that he was driving above the appropriate speed limit.

Controversy As Apc Lawmakers Reject Principal Officers
There seems to be trouble in paradise as the National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) distanced itself from the National Assembly’s majority leadership positions announced by Senate President Godswill Akpabio and House of Representatives Speaker Tajudeen Abbas.
Akpabio and Abbas had announced the emergence of new principal officers during Tuesday’s plenary.
Akpabio said the announcement was in line with agreements by the caucuses of the majority and the minority parties.
In the Senate, Akpabio named Opeyemi Bamidele (of, Ekiti) as Majority Leader; David Umahi (APC, Ebonyi), Deputy Majority Leader; Mohammed Ali Ndume (APC, Borno), Senate Majority Whip; and Lola Ashiru (APC, Kwara), Deputy Majority Whip.
The speaker said all the members of the APC in the house endorsed the selection of the principal officers from the ruling party.
But the national chairman of APC, Abdullahi Adamu, yesterday said the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) was not aware of the emergence of principal officers of the 10th National Assembly.
Speaking during a meeting with governors who are members of the party at the APC national secretariat on Tuesday, July 5, 2023, in Abuja, Adamu said the party has not officially communicated with the presiding officers.

Mmesoma's Father Speaks On Daughter's Alleged Jamb Forgery
Romanus Ejikeme, father to Mmesoma Ejikeme, the young girl accused by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) of falsifying her 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), has backed his daughter’s controversial claims.
Breaking his silence on the issue, Romanus Ejikeme, maintained that his daughter was right with her claims.
He insisted that his daughter did not forge her results, saying that she was a hardworking and studious student who did not joke with her studies.
Following Jamb's obvious technical glitch, the father opined that he has no plan to sue JAMB as suggested by some Nigerians who felt their daughter was being traumatized.
Ejikeme, who received some journalists today at his house in Nnewi, Anambra State, said that the family had left everything to God to judge.
Recall that Mmesoma Ejikeme had made headlines after JAMB faulted her claims as the highest score earner in the year’s overall UTME results.
Mmesoma had paraded a UTME result score of 362 which got her recognition and scholarships. JAMB, however, countered the student’s claim, describing her as a fraud.
