On the way to a friend's house some days back. I needed cash for tfare so I had to withdraw from a POS center.

I saw a POS stall inside a compound so I went in. As I approached the stall I noticed a supermarket on the other side in the same building.

I have never noticed this supermarket and I've passed by this building many times there was not even a signpost to show this business exist.

And I was wondering how they make sales when this store was practically hidden. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the people patronizing them were neighbors, friends, family and anyone who found them by chance because as far as I know, this business didnt exist.

Why am I sharing this with you?

Now, imagine yourself as that business owner with amazing products in your shop. Products that people really need (in this case food) yet you struggle to make sales.

If you even make sales let's assume 5 -10 times in a week. Tell me, if you continue like this, do you think you will make enough money to renew rent? Pay for utilities and cover other costs that comes with running a business in today's economy?

You have hot selling products yet people interested in what you are selling are likely unable to see your business.

See...

The simple logic behind consistent sales in any business (offline and online) is to get more people to know about your business and growing your customer list.

You can't continue to wait for friends, family, or same customers to buy because if you do dust will eventually cover your product and you may likely shut down the business. Then, you will conclude the business didn't work when you weren't doing the right thing.

Do yourself a favor this new week, sit down, take a pen and paper, think of how to grow your business. Come up with strategies to generate and grow your customers list.

LET PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS.

And remember the formula is MORE LEADS/CUSTOMER=MORE SALES (with the right closing skills too 😄)

Have you been running ads on Facebook and keep getting banned? Keep reading this post. I am about to unveil simple strategies to use the next time you are setting up your ads campaign.

1) Avoid promoting products that go against Facebook Ads policy. If you still don't know what the policy says, google "Facebook Ads policy" to check it out.

2) Make sure your ad copy and creative are clear and not misleading. Also, avoid making unverifiable claims and using misleading images.

3) Ensure you have enough balance in your ad account to sustain your ads. Never let your ad account balance run empty while your ads are still active. This can trigger a restriction.

4) Do not delete comments on your ads as facebook sees this as negative feedback, which can harm your ad.

5) If your ads get rejected, delete them and start over. If you didn't violate any Facebook rules, you can request a review.

So, before you hit the publish button, make sure you have checked all the points I listed above.

6 BIGGEST LESSONS I LEARNED IN 2023.

1) Talk is cheap, It doesn't matter all the goals you set and hope to achieve, if you don't take action nothing happens.

2) Fear and procrastination are 2 dream kill..ers and can keep you stuck for years if you let it.

3) Success is earned, every person you know thriving in whatever it is they do is not lucky because they worked hard for it.

4) Time waits for no one, if you do nothing to improve your life and situation, a few years down the line you will be in the same place you were or even worse.

5) Nobody is coming to save you (well apart from God) your life is your absolute responsibility. Stop waiting for that rich uncle or friend who promised to help you and help yourself first.

6) You don't need anybody's permission or validation to pursue your dreams even if it sounds or looks impossible. They are yours and you have the right to dream as big as your thoughts can take you.

Raising capital is probably the biggest obstacle a lot of people face in starting a business. I will be sharing 3 strategies that can help you raise capital to start that business you have always wanted.

1) START WITH WHAT YOU HAVE: At the beginning of a business, nobody will likely believe in your ideas as much as you, well that's normal, and don't take it personal.

Invest your own money no matter how little to at least get the business off the ground and when things begin to take shape, you will see people who will be willing to invest in your business.

After all, If you can't invest your money in your business why should other people do it?

2) CONVERT YOUR SOCIAL CAPITAL INTO FINANCIAL CAPITAL: Social capital refers to the value of close relationships you have in your life. This is where you leverage the relationships you have in your life by talking to a few friends, family, colleagues, neighbors, etc. Truth is anyone who genuinely wants to see you grow will support you.

3) FIND PEOPLE WHO HAVE MONEY TO INVEST: A lot of people have the cash but may not have the time, idea, knowledge, or skills required to start a business. Maybe because they have a full commitment like a job or may not have the entrepreneurial spirit to actively build a business.

You can leverage such people and partner with them which is a win-win situation for both of you. As the old saying goes "two or more heads are better than one".
