BREAKING: MOTHER CONFESSES TO SLEEPING WITH DAUGHTER'S HUSBAND

4th February, 2024 10:11

A woman, identified as Madam Cynthia, has confessed to sleeping with her daughter’s 46-year-old husband, Joseph, in Nasarawa State.

We learned that the secret romantic affair between Cynthia and her son-in-law was blown open after her six-year-old grandson reported their escapade to his mother, Doris.

According to The Nation, Cynthia and Joseph were involved in a romantic relationship before his marriage to her daughter.

28-year-old Doris married Joseph, a sales manager with a private company, and was oblivious that he and her mother were dating.

On January 18, when Madam Cynthia visited her daughter’s matrimonial home in New Nyanya, Karu Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, she and her son-in-law decided to engage in fresh romance sessions during the visit. Unfortunately, their six-year-old son ran into them in one of the sessions and later let the cat out of the bag.

Madam Cynthia admitted to the romantic affair and pleaded with her daughter for forgiveness.

She said, “My husband died about 20 years ago, and I never found another man of my dreams until I met Joseph. He is a kind and generous gentleman. He is also very strong and very good in bed.

“He gave me the most satisfaction I ever had with a man in bed. Because of that, I did not want to lose his company, so I recommended him to you (Doris). I insisted that he must get married to you so you could have a taste of what he is made of.”

Narrating the incident, Doris said, “I met my husband through my mother in Lafia in 2018. I had just completed NYSC and she introduced him to me as someone who was very good and generous and would never mistreat me.

“Looking at Joseph, although he was not too young, he actually appeared gentle and promising. He would come to my mother’s restaurant every evening after the close of work, but I never suspected that he was also going out with my mother.

“She actually hid her main reason for linking the two of us together. My mother did not want my husband to get married to another woman basically because of his sexual prowess and kindness.

“To my admiration, Joseph actually showed commitment, making sure that all my needs were met even without me asking.

“Within a short time, he proved to me that he was actually a good man in addition to what my mother told me.

“We eventually got married in 2018, and two years later, we relocated to New Nyanya because he had secured a civil service job for me in Abuja and also opened a salon for me.

“Before I could say anything, she knelt down and said she was sorry I found out about their relationship the way I did, but she was not sorry she got both of us together.

“I have three kids and I am presently four months pregnant. My mother, a very careful woman, had told me after my marriage that she felt fulfilled that I got married to Joseph.

“She was always coming on visits, and would always ask whether I was enjoying my marriage. And I truly was enjoying it, because my husband did make life easy for me and my kids.

“She was always calling or visiting, and I thought it was because I am his only child. When I gave birth to my first son, she was very excited and often came to help out with house chores.

“She was always taking care of my kids who she loves so much. It was as if she was living together with us. We lived in a three-bedroom apartment, so there was enough space for her to stay for as long as she wanted.

“On January 13, my mother came around and it coincided with the time my husband took a week off to rest at home. It never occurred to me that my husband’s one-week rest was tactically planned to coincide with my mother’s coming.

“The setting in my matrimonial home was the best for them because of the kids. They took care of the kids while I went to work, but I did not know that they were also taking care of themselves.

“My mum loves a particular brand of alcohol while my husband also likes a brand of wine, which he always ensured was in the refrigerator.

“So while I was away to work and the kids had gone to school, they kept each other company with their drinks. It never occurred to me that their relationship was beyond mother-in-law and son-in-law.

“On Thursday, January 18, I returned from work and my eldest son came into my room as I was pulling off my dress. He looked worried and confused, so I asked whether his aunty beat him in school or he was not given food, but he said nothing.

“When I prodded him further, he told me that he saw his father and grandmother fighting naked in the visitor’s room and grandma was crying while daddy was on top of her.

“I asked how he got to know, and he said that when he returned from school, grandma bathed him and he slept off after eating because he was tired.

“He said that when he woke up, he went to check on Grandma (Madam Cynthia) in her room and found that she and her father were fighting naked and Grandma was crying under him.

“Obviously, they did not lock the door. He said his father ordered him to go out immediately. Although I was shocked at the revelation, I managed to control my anger and inquire to know more about what went wrong in my absence.

“My son’s claims were actually not unexpected because of my mother’s constant visit to us and her unusual closeness to my husband.

“They were so close and were always in the sitting room together. But another thought came into my mind: the two of them had known each other before I came in, and I actually knew my husband through my mother.

“I walked swiftly across the house and into my mother’s room and asked if something was on between my mother and my husband.

“She could not deny the allegation and that caused me to start shedding tears. I just did not know where the tears were coming from.

“My mother calmed me down and narrated the story of her relationship with Joseph and why she insisted that I should marry him.

“She said she got hooked on my husband because he was very good in bed in addition to his good nature.

“She said that every woman would like such a man and she did not want me to miss out on him because those are the traits that sustain marriages.

“She said she would have felt cheated if Danjuma had married another woman, and that was why she persuaded me to marry him.

SECURITY IS A SERIOUS BUSINESS

Security remains a paramount concern for the people of Nasarawa State, and recent efforts to bolster safety measures have garnered significant attention. The inauguration of a volunteer force by the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN) Kauta H**e, led by National Chairman Alhaji Bello Bodejo, has sparked discussions both locally and globally.

The volunteer force comprising 1000 individuals aims to collaborate with security forces, including the police, to address incidents of kidnapping and other security challenges in Nasarawa State. While this initiative received support from various quarters, it also elicited concerns and apprehensions, primarily stemming from past experiences of violence and insecurity attributed to certain groups like the Fulani.

In particular, unwarranted allegations have surfaced, directly implicating His Excellency, Governor Abdullahi Sule, in the establishment and endorsement of this volunteer force. Such assertions not only seek to tarnish the Governor's reputation but also undermine the concerted efforts towards fostering peace and security in the state.

It is imperative to set the record straight regarding Governor Sule's unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents of Nasarawa State.

Contrary to baseless accusations, Governor Sule has consistently prioritized security, making substantial investments to fortify the state's defenses against threats. Under his leadership, Nasarawa has emerged as a beacon of tranquility, attracting individuals from diverse backgrounds seeking refuge in its peaceful environs.

Governor Sule's stance on security matters is unequivocal – he stands firmly for initiatives that promote peace and harmony while lending full support to law enforcement agencies in upholding order and justice. Recent developments, including the apprehension of the volunteer force's leader by security operatives, underscore the state's unwavering commitment to maintaining lawfulness and thwarting any semblance of lawlessness.

We urge detractors and purveyors of misinformation to desist from propagating falsehoods about Governor Sule's involvement in the establishment of the vigilante group. His track record speaks volumes about his dedication to the welfare and prosperity of Nasarawa State. Governor Sule's advocacy for peace and unity remains unwavering, transcending all attempts to besmirch his character and integrity.

We consider it necessary to call on mischief makers from various quarters to jettison all claims, insinuations and rumours that Governor Sule is behind the inauguration of the vigilante group. He cannot build and still destroy. His love for the good of Nasarawa State is unprecedented. The GOD of Governor A .A. Sule is not a naked God. Governor Sule is a man of peace and a promoter of unity in Nasarawa State. No iota of insult can change him. Peace is in his DNA.

In conclusion, let us rally behind Governor Abdullahi Sule in his endeavors to build a safer and more prosperous Nasarawa State. Together, we can overcome challenges and forge a future defined by peace, progress, and prosperity.

Buhari's visit: Looking at Nasarawa's future under Engineer Sule

By Ali Abare

President Muhammadu Buhari will from tomorrow, Thursday, 24 February, 2021, begin a two-day working visit to Nasarawa State, Already, the state is agog to once again, welcome President Buhari to his second home. Elaborate preparations were put in place to make the president's visit not only remarkable but exceptional.

Like his other visits to states like Ogun, Imo and Lagos, President Buhari is scheduled to commission projects executed by both the Federal and Nasarawa State Governments, with his visit presenting a golden opportunity for the people to have glimpses of the new Nasarawa State, under the leadership of His Excellency, Engineer Abdullahi Sule.

The visit by President Buhari presents a window of opportunity for the people of the state, as well as Nigerians, to catch a glimpse of the future for Nasarawa State, a future being brought to reality through a leadership that radiates effective communication, embrace change, implement priorities, develop detailed plans of action, envisioned in an operating model, the Nasarawa Economic Development Strategy (NEDS).

The visit is also coinciding with the completion of legacy projects executed by the Engineer Sule administration, which the president will equally commission. These milestones in the history of the state, include projects initiated by His Excellency, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, as well as those he completed having inherited them from the immediate past administration.

These projects to be commissioned by President Buhari include, the 330KVA Akurba power substation, new Central Bank of Nigeria, Lafia Office, the completed Federal Secretariat, the Lafia Vocational and Technical Institute, Karu and Lafia Mega Bus Terminals, Lafia Cargo Airport, Keffi Neighborhood Market and Keffi Square, as well as the Shinge/Kilema intercity road.

What is remarkable about the projects to be commissioned, is that these are manifestations of Engineer Sule's vision to further develop Nasarawa State and make it less dependent on federal allocation.

Like Eleanor Roosevelt posited, the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams and certainly, Engineer Sule believes in his beautiful dream for a better Nasarawa State.

From what the president will commission tomorrow, it is safe to say that the people can actually predict the future of Nasarawa State from what the Engineer Sule administration is now putting in place.

The significance of the projects to be commissioned by the President have great potentials to transform Nasarawa State and to place her among the top five states in the country, because the only way you can predict the future, is to build it. And the journey of a thousand miles begins with a step.

The Akurba power substation: The project, which was a federal government intervention through the National Integrated Power Project ( NIPP), constructed by the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC), is meant to link Nasarawa State to the national grid. Since the creation of the state in 1996, Nasarawa State got its power supply from neighbouring states. Though the project was started during the immediate past administration of Senator Umaru Tanko Al-makura, on coming onboard, Engineer Sule, took it upon himself to see to the completion of the project. The reason is not farfetched. With his industrialization thrust, it was obvious that without a steady power supply, the vision of turning Nasarawa State into an industrial state, would have been dead on arrival. Knowing the significance of power supply in achieving this dream, Engineer Sule literally took over the project. He diligently followed up on all issues hindering the smooth completion of the project, visiting critical agencies and government departments responsible towards ensuring that the Akurba power substation comes onboard. With steady source of power now, Nasarawa State can actually look forward to becoming an industrial hub. Already, the administration has attracted major commercial agricultural companies into the state such as the Dangote Group, Flour Mills Nigeria Limited, Azman Rice Limited, among others and as such, commissioning the Akurba power substation will be a great boost to the vision of the state government to woo industries into the state. Steady power supply will certainly ginger indigenes of the state to embark on business ventures that will bring improvement in the economic growth of Nasarawa State.

Lafia Vocational and Technical Institute: This institute is dear to the Engineer Sule administration. Being a trained engineer who has strong believe in education for self-reliance, Engineer Sule's vision for this technical institute is all encompassing. First, this institute is expected to impact necessary technical skills on the youths, as well as graduates of universities and polytechnics from other fields of study, who will be trained to become self-reliant. Secondly, the institute is expected to produce technicians that will be employed by factories that will spring up across the state. Thirdly, the institute will be a centre for innovations, manufacturing spare parts to be used by industries from within and outside the state. From here s experience while he was Group Managing Director at the Dangote Group, Engineer Sule saw need to train on-demand qualified technicians to feed industries in Nasarawa, as well as other parts of the country.

Lafia and Karu Mega Bus Terminals: This is a bold step taken by the Engineer Sule administration to tackle the low internally generated revenue in the state, as well as address the perennial traffic logjam along the Keffi-Abuja expressway. This multibillion naira project, will completely revolutionise the state's transport scheme, as well as provide employment to teeming people. It's worthy of note that in order for the administration to maximally utilise these projects to the benefit of the people, the Engineer Sule administration only recently concessioned these two facilities to a private firm, Diamond Stripes, who will manage both the Karu and Lafia bus terminals. This is accepting change by an administration that has vision to further develop the state. Unlike in the past, the state government, having realised that government has no business running business organizations, handed the terminals built entirely from public funds, to a private firm for effecient and effective management.

Keffi Neighborhood Market and Keffi Square: The N1.6bn Keffi Neighborhood Market project was undertaken by the Engineer Sule administration as another bold step towards improving internal revenue generation, with the facility boasting of over 500 lockup shops, while the square will have more than 1,400 capacity seats.

The Keffi Neighborhood Market and Keffi Square are both expected to boost socioeconomic activities of the people.

“I am not just fulfilling the campaign promises which I made to the people of Keffi, but it is also a dream come true.

“The Keffi Square and the neighborhood market are to enhance the socio-economic activities of the people of Keffi and the state at large and improve their standard of living,” he the governor stated while flagging off the project.

Lafia Cargo Airport: This project was started by the previous administration of Senator Al-makura. Engineer Sule inherited the project, promising to see to its completion. Engineer Sule made some adjustments on the design of the facility, expanding the runway to be able to accommodate bigger planes. The vision of the airport was essentially to serve as alternative to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. It's primarily a cargo airport, where importation and exportation can take place, especially to feed the growing industries and commercial entities around the FCT, North Central geopolitical zone, as well as across the country. Because of the pragmatic nature of the administration, government saw the need to find specific use for the airport before it can assume it's real purpose. To this end, Engineer Sule contacted the federal authorities, which saw to the Federal Aviation Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) taking over the facility. The Lafia Cargo Airport is also being used as landing base for the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) and for military purposes.

These projects when commissioned, will mark a departure from what obtains in the past, where government has sole responsibility of managing such facilities. The new concept introduced by the Engineer Sule administration, where government will use public funds to build critical infrastructure but will hand such to professionals from the private sector, will not only improve the return on investment, but will ensure sustainability.

The projects that will be commissioned by President Buhari tomorrow are not ordinary. They rather serve as inklings of the vision of the Engineer Abdullahi Sule administration towards taking Nasarawa State to higher heights. The initiative is a concept that is uncommon and demonstrates the willingness of the government to embrace change in the implementation of its policies and goals.

Indeed, as Malcolm X pointed out, "The future belongs to those who prepare for it today." And indeed, Engineer Sule is preparing for a better, greater Nasarawa State. This is but a start with the chips expected to fall in places in the coming years.

Therefore, as President Muhammadu Buhari visits his second home tomorrow, it's only pertinent for the people of the state to support this uncommon vision of the Engineer Sule administration, by turning up enmasse to accord a rousing welcome to the august visitor.

Abare is a special assistant on media to the Nasarawa State governor.

*WHEN MARRIAGE IS A MISTAKE.*
🧩
Most times when a *marriage is in trouble* , people tend to see their Marriage as a *mistake* rather than seeing the *mistakes they are making* in their marriage. At this point they *regret marrying their wife or husband, begin to think of a new partner, imagine marrying their ex or fantasizing a marriage without issues.*

Some even divorce or remarry and later wish they had *remained* with their first Spouse, as they find greater trouble in the new spouse. This is because *the first marriage was not a mistake,* and the mistake has not been *discovered yet.*

So you can remarry as many times as you like, you will still experience problems in marriage until *you discover the mistakes you are making in your marriage and correct them.*

So divorce or separation is not a solution to consider when you are having problems with your marriage.

When your car has a flat tyre, you do not abandon it, but repair the tyre and move on.

When we have a headache, no matter how excruciating, we do not cut off the head but take care of the headache.

When a bulb blows out in the room we do not change the room or the house, we replace the bulb and light up the room.

When we have challenges at work, we do not refuse to go to work, we go there to solve the problems.

So when marriage has an issue, we don't have to try to change the spouse instead of changing the *attitude* that is creating the problem.

Most times when we see some couples enjoying their marriages and enjoying each other to the fullest, we admire and cherish them, but the opposite is seen in our own marriage. The reason is that some people have worked on their marriage *by paying the necessary price* and that is why they are enjoying the fruits of their labour. It is said, “The way you make your bed is the way you will lie on it”.

Your marriage is as *good* or as *sweet* as you make it. Some couples, because of the *negative things* they are seeing in their marriage, accuse each other of being responsible. They point accusing fingers at each other for being responsible. Some even say many bad things about their spouse, even *calling him or her names;* some think that marrying that man or that woman was a mistake.

*It is not so, your marriage was not a mistake,* *but you are the mistake.*

Your *habit* is the mistake
Your *character* is the mistake
Your *manner, anger, unforgiveness, laziness, lack of love, lack of affection, lack of attention, impatience, bitterness, selfishness, ignorance, stinginess, not being considerate, infidelity and lovelessness are the mistakes.*

Talking about bitterness. Some still dream of a marriage with their ex seeing your spouse as a stumbling block. *Wake up* and smell the coffee. Be *content* with your spouse. That *behavior* is your mistake.

So *get up now* and *build your marriage* because it is not a mistake.
*Divorce or separation* are never an options.
Be kind in your language, be humble in your manner, be appreciative in your character and be lovely in your attitude.
*Amend your ways and decisions.* Give your spouse a *stress free life. GOD BLESS YOU*
