Alleged rift between us is complete falsehood.

Their Excellencies Former Governors Abdullahi Adamu and Tanko Almakura have again debunked alleged rift between them and H.E Governor Abdullahi A.Sule.

The two former senators put rumors of the alleged misunderstanding to rest when they met with Engineer Abdullahi Sule at the Government House in Lafia.

In their words the speculations of a soured relationship between the leaders, exist only in the imagination of people who do not mean well for the state.

“Today while on my way to an official engagement i got the news of the National and State Houses of Assembly Petition Tribunal ruling which declared the mandate you willingly gave as inconclusive.

“I have been properly briefed by my Legal Team and we shall appeal the judgement by the grace of God.

“I therefore want to appeal to all my supporters to remain calm as we continue to pursue this mandate bestowed to me by all,” the Lawmaker, declared.

He added that “be rest assured of a responsive, efficient and effective representation as i vowed to”.

'Where Are The Remaining Food Items', APC Chieftain Raises Alarm Over Alleged 'Diversion Of Palliative'
***
Chieftain of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwanga LGA of Nasarawa State, Mr Isa Kreni has accused the Larry Ven-Bawa-led committee of diverting palliative provided by the Federal Government in order to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal in the country.

Kreni revealed that the state government delivered 3,000 bags of rice, 1,500 bottles of cooking oil and 3,000 sachets of spaghetti to the committee for distribution to poor households across the eleven (11) wards of the area.

He however alleged that 800 bags out of the 3,000 bags of rice were unaccounted for as each ward were given 200 bags, making a total of 2,200 bags of rice.

For cooking oil, the APC Chieftain alleged that 400 bottles went missing as every ward received 100 bottles making a total of 1,100 out of the 1,500 bottles.

Kreni further alleged that 800 sachets of Spaghetti went missing as each ward received only 200 sachets, making a total of 2,200 out of the 3,000 sachets delivered to the Committee.

The committee has however debunked the allegations and vowed to be fair and just to all residents.

The Members of the committee include Alhaji Liman Abbas (APC Chairman), Mrs Larai Makpu, Comrade Musa Akwanga, CAN and JNI Chairmen among others.

Meanwhile, in some areas of Akwanga town, many residents claimed they received only less than a mudu quantity of rice as pallative.

In Unguwar Ogba, a woman simply identified as Kauna said only two cups of rice was given to her as pallative.

The other food items, spaghetti and cooking oil, she added didn't get to her.

Subsidy Removal Will Reduce Carbon Dioxide Emissions, Says VP Shettima
***
“At the onset of this administration, President Bola Tinubu took the bold step to put an end to the petrol subsidy. Preliminary analysis conducted by the National Council on Climate Change on the co-benefits of fuel subsidy removal indicates that there has been about a 30 per cent reduction in daily fuel consumption, amounting to about 20 million litres, equivalent to an estimated daily saving of 42,800 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.

“When projected over one year, it amounts to over 15 million tonnes of CO2 saved, representing about 40 per cent greenhouse gas reduction from the baseline projection of 45 million metric tonnes of total GHG carbon dioxide equivalent by 2030. This places Nigeria on course to achieve our NDC targets ahead of time.” -VP Kashim Shettima At One-Day Workshop Organized By NCCC
