'Where Are The Remaining Food Items', APC Chieftain Raises Alarm Over Alleged 'Diversion Of Palliative'

Chieftain of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwanga LGA of Nasarawa State, Mr Isa Kreni has accused the Larry Ven-Bawa-led committee of diverting palliative provided by the Federal Government in order to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal in the country.
Kreni revealed that the state government delivered 3,000 bags of rice, 1,500 bottles of cooking oil and 3,000 sachets of spaghetti to the committee for distribution to poor households across the eleven (11) wards of the area.
He however alleged that 800 bags out of the 3,000 bags of rice were unaccounted for as each ward were given 200 bags, making a total of 2,200 bags of rice.
For cooking oil, the APC Chieftain alleged that 400 bottles went missing as every ward received 100 bottles making a total of 1,100 out of the 1,500 bottles.
Kreni further alleged that 800 sachets of Spaghetti went missing as each ward received only 200 sachets, making a total of 2,200 out of the 3,000 sachets delivered to the Committee.
The committee has however debunked the allegations and vowed to be fair and just to all residents.
The Members of the committee include Alhaji Liman Abbas (APC Chairman), Mrs Larai Makpu, Comrade Musa Akwanga, CAN and JNI Chairmen among others.
Meanwhile, in some areas of Akwanga town, many residents claimed they received only less than a mudu quantity of rice as pallative.
In Unguwar Ogba, a woman simply identified as Kauna said only two cups of rice was given to her as pallative.
The other food items, spaghetti and cooking oil, she added didn't get to her.
