Comr. Ameh Williams, hailing from Olamaboro Ward II Agbaduma Okpo in Olamaboro Local Government of Kogi State, brings a wealth of experience to his role as the newly appointed Caretaker Chairman. His journey in public service began with a foundation in Public Administration, earning a National Diploma (ND) from Federal Polytechnic Idah, Kogi State.

Furthering his education, Williams pursued a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration at Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT). Notably, he continued his academic pursuits, attaining a Master's degree in Public Administration and Leadership from ESUT in 2014.

MOUTHWATERING AND TOUCHING STORY OF AYATU MUHAMMED, THE GROUNDNUT SELLER.

The pathetic story of a very hardworking boy from Ajaka who is always out to support his mum in order to pay school fees of his elderly ones and to feed continues.

When I put calls across to him in the day time, he was so busy hawking in Anyigba market and he later flashed me and when I called, he narrated everything to me.

Ayatu Muhammed is a decent promising boy who is hardworking, disciplined, focused, determined and ready to support his family in order to make the both end meet. He said, he's not ashamed or minding what people or his age or class mate might said, since he's not stealing or giving his family bad name.

Ayatu is a very brilliant boy and he sat for West African Examination Council (WAEC) in 2023 and he came out in flying colours. He got Nine(9) credits including Maths and English, but he could not further his education due to financial problem in the family.

When asked whether if he is interested to further, Ayatu said, he's very much ready if he can see sponsors, that that's the reason why he's hawking to support his parents so that, when his elderly ones in the high institution graduated, before he can be enrolled.

In fact, Ayatu Muhammed is looking forward to receiving financial assistance from good and kind-hearted Igalas and Nigerians to further his education, he has the plan to go to school but there are no means and that's why he's helping his mum to hawk.

“I saw something about next year (2024) that will make you need this message because what I saw is going to be a time of turbulence and serious challenge for believers.

“I’m not a prophet of doom. My teaching grace is enough for me. I mustn’t prophesy but if I open my mouth and tell you something, just believe it.

“So, when God brings things like this, He is redeeming the future. There is something He has seen.

Kogi Govt Queries Monarch for Woeful Performance of APC in His Local Government Area.

The Kogi State Government has issued a query to the Abdulrazak Isa Koto, Ohimege Igu Kotonkarfe and chairman, Lokoja/Koto Traditional Council, for his failure to maintained peace during the time the Social Democratic Party SDP candidate Alhaji Muritala Ajaka visited Koto-Karfe, the Government also accused the traditional ruler of not showing more concern after the two sides attacked each others that lead to the death of a lady .

The government therefore concluded that the Traditional Ruler took sides and hence directly involved in partisan politics, the action that has since elated condemnation with political observers believe that the state government is only trying to transfer aggression over poor Performance of the ruling All Progressive Congress APC party in Koto.

Speaking to OBSERVERSTIMES in Koto, Mallam Ibrahim Usman admitted that the traditional ruler even endorsed Usman Ododo openly because he is the candidate of the government that some people are only out to be Mischievous and trying to take advantage of the situation to get back at the Traditional ruler has guided the entire locality with much wisdom.

He further advised the government not to be dragged into mud as going against the tradition and custom of the people of Kotonkarfe people , condemned the query and called on government to have regards for the traditions and not act on hearsay’s by those who think the have the ears of the Government.

Another resident who speaks on anonymity accused the governor of trying to intimidating the traditional ruler .

Emmanuel Okala and his late younger brother, Patrick Okala are among Nigeria’s and Africa's greatest goalkeepers of all times.

They both hail from Idah, present day Kogi state.

Both brothers were at various times in goal for the Nigerian national team in the 80s and 90s.

It would be recalled that Emmanuel is prided as Nigeria’s first “African Footballer of the Year’’ after inspiring Enugu Rangers to win 1977 African Winners Cup now CAF Confederations Cup before helping Nigeria to win the 1980 African Cup of Nations putting his name forever in the history of Nigerian football because all were “firsts’’.

Emmanuel is a holder of Order of Nigeria. The 68-year-old 6 feet inches nicknamed “Iroko” will always remain much loved and a darling of the fans who stood in applause despite 33 years after he last played for Nigeria.

A teacher in our school, Book-City International Schools asked some pupils in Basic 3 to write an essay about their father.

When I read what this pupil wrote about her father, I almost cried. What a father.

I think every father should read this essay.

As a father, can your child write something like this about you?

Kogi Guber : Tribunal Orders INEC To Allow, SDP, Ajaka Lawyers Access To BVAS, Other Election🗳Materials
November 25,2023

The Kogi State Off-cycle Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to allow Muritala Ajaka of the SDP access to materials and all other documents used in the conduct of the November 11, 2023 governorship election in the State.

The tribunal which began sitting in Lokoja on Saturday gave the order while ruling in an application brought by Counsel to Murtala Ajaka, the governorship candidate of SDP in the election.

Counsel to Ajaka and SDP, S.E Aruwa SAN had told the tribunal about him to access documents , mainly 42 items used in the conduct of the election which he said he needed to proceed with his case.

According to Aruwa, all efforts to access the documents both at INEC office in Abuja and Lokoja proved abortive , hence the request for an order of the tribunal.

The Presiding Tribunal Judge, Justice Yusuf Ado Birnin-Kudu in his ruling said the application is meritorious in accordance with the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as ammended and the Electoral Law 2023.

He granted the application that the first Respondent INEC allow access by Counsels to Murtala Ajaka of the SDP led by John Adele, SAN, and S.E. Aruwa, SAN, to certified copies used for the governorship election within two days.

Also, the chairman of the Tribunal granted the prayers of John Adele SAN, to the effect of compelling INEC to also within 48 hours grant access to BVAS and other electronic materials used.

Speaking after the ruling, lead Counsel to Muritala Ajaka and SDP, John Adele, SAN expressed optimism that INEC will comply with the ruling of the Tribunal.
