Abdulmalik Abubakar possesses a doxological passion for performance directing, practice and management. He is a repository of movement practice considering his experimentation with acting acupuncturism, ground-voice-movement and dialogue management. Abdulmalik is not only a manager of actors and production process, he is also a manager of spirits, actants and other etherealist beinglessnesses, embodied or disembodied, that make theatre an intriguing and enduring experience.
He understands theatre semiotics especially as they interact in acting and production process. For him, nothing exist from without as every stage property and mis-en-scene has and tells its own story. Abdulmalik is currently Stage Managing the production of 's , a play put together by the , with support from the in Nigeria to commemorate the 2023 edition of scheduled to hold on the Friday 10th February 2023 at NUC Auditorium, Aguiyi Ironsi Road, Maitama, .
