100 years from now, all of us will be dead and forgotten.
We came in here with NOTHING. Then, we spend all our space and time trying to get a few stuff. Then we leave all and go.
Only a very few of us will be spectacular. Most of us will be in the “average” roles making our own commitments to nature and society. And that’s perfectly fine.
I think the most important thing we should seek in life…
… is FULFILLMENT. When you need almost nothing to be thankful.
Most of our pains and sorrow come from worrying about things we don’t have. We are so engrossed in lack, that we lose sight of the immaterial nature. We fail to appreciate the ones we have.
In the best quarters of New York, Copehagen, Silicon Valley, London, Sydney, Abuja… people still kee themselves because of “depression.” Rich people need fulfillment, but poor people think money can solve everything.
It’s a paradox that economics does not translate to a sense of fulfillment.
You need to cultivate it yourself, regardless of your finance, economics, geography or biology.
Let’s find joy in the little corners we work in. Love your family. Do your works with happiness. Laugh. Smile. In your own little world.
Someone will be wealthier, prettier, smarter, more intelligent, healthier, happier… but that doesn’t stop you from being grateful in your own.
Contentment with godliness is GAIN.
